Being with him was never the problem. Being seen with him is what blows everything up.
Maya Singh swore she would keep things simple this year at Briarwood pass her classes, protect her scholarship, keep her midnight radio show alive—and absolutely not fall for her infuriatingly soft-hearted roommate again.
Too late.
What started as hate, then a truce, turned into late-night tutoring sessions, stolen moments in the kitchen, and a connection she never saw coming. Now Maya is in a full-on relationship with hockey captain Liam Hayes…only nobody’s supposed to know.
He’s still her former tutoring client. She still works for the university. There are rules about that.
So they make a keep it quiet.
No couple selfies. No PDA on campus. No feeding the anonymous gossip accounts that stalk every move the hockey team makes.
In private, Liam is the anxious, loyal boy who traces constellations on her skin and listens when she talks about burnout and panic. In public, they’re just housemates who barely tolerate each other.
Until one blurry photo turns their entire world into content.
Suddenly #CampusScandal is trending.
Her professionalism is questioned. His leadership is doubted. And Maya finds herself sitting in an ethics meeting being asked whether she crossed a line that could cost her the funding she depends on.
Liam is caught between defending the girl he loves and the team, scouts, and family who expect him to be flawless.
In the eye of the storm, us against the world starts to feel a lot like us tearing each other apart.
With her scholarship on the line and his career under a microscope, Maya must decide whether loving him is worth becoming the villain of her own story—and Liam must decide what kind of man he wants to be when he can’t protect everyone at once.
Campus Scandals is a messy, emotional college hockey romance
a secret relationship that can’t stay secret
forbidden love with real consequences
anonymous gossip accounts and public humiliation
ethics boards, pressure, and reputations on the line
fame, favoritism, and power imbalance
two people fighting for each other—and themselves
Book 2 in the Living With Red Flags series takes Maya and Liam from “we’ll keep this just between us” to the moment everything goes painfully, publicly wrong…setting the stage for heartbreak, fallout, and the second chance still to come.
I loved the continuation of the storyline and the scandal! My heart was breaking for the tough situation they’re in.
Although I could see the relationship being a conflict of interest, I’m a bit confused about why it’s such a huge issue since he’s passing his exams on his own, but that’s just my personal take.
Overall, I really love the story line and characters. I do wish it was one big novel, instead of 3 novellas though.
