Envy by C. L. Briar is the first book of the series, a dark motorcycle club romance. This is a pretty fast paced that will take you thru a ride! Silas is morally grey, grumpy, broody, and just perfect as an MMC. He is performed by Christian J. Gilliland him with such a passion and wrapped him up in sin.
Evie, performed by Rylee Kuberra, she is new to me, i cant wait to hear more from her. Evie for me is where the story lack consistency, her character has this annoying thing to contradict herself with her actions.
The overall feel for this story is great, and has so much personality and amazing foundation. However I believe it needs some more editing and polishing.

🟢🏍 Envy By C. L. Briar 🏍🟢

This is a dark romance brimming with danger, obsession, and temptation. Set at a University, it follows the collision of a sheltered heroine with a secret brotherhood known as The Seven, each member embodying a deadly sin.

The story weaves together tropes like good girl x dangerous man, morally grey male lead, forced proximity, and a power-laden secret society, all underscored by revenge, loyalty, and a twisted sense of found family.

Expect possessive love, emotional tension, and the potential for redemption amid the darkness

I was very excited about this book. I listened to it on audio after ordering a hard copy. The email narrator did a great job! The male narrator not so much. His voice was too low and quiet. I found the story lacking connection. It seemed like we just jumped right into the relationship and possessiveness without depth building between the two main characters. I enjoyed the side characters and the story line definitely had potential I think it was just rushed. The plot twist was GREAT!!!! And the ending was so satisfying!!

2.5/5. I started this book thinking it was going to be a new favorite but by the end I was kind of rushing through just to finish it. I also ended up going back to the trigger warnings page to see if a certain scene was listed; it was not. It was pretty jarring to read personally so I would add that to the warnings if I could!
