ALC REVIEW

Just a little reminder … I want to start this review by saying I am not the audience for “bully” romances. One because putting the words bully and romance together is laughable. I’m not explaining that because it should be self-explanatory. And two because “romanticizing” bully behaviour is just not something I can get on board with. This book/saga gets a third because reading/listening to this age group is like nails running down a chalkboard for me. Teenagers just haven’t lived long enough not to behave like idiots and make idiotic decisions, and they should be written in that manner because that’s who they are. I just normally would rather eat glass than live thru a story about them. So, there’s the hat-trick on why I stay away from these stories.

Now, about Their Twisted Rules. I still cannot give you a concrete answer on why I am invested in these kids as much as I am, but here we are, again. I mean, who even am I right now? So, now we have 5 horsemen (you should know that because you can’t be reading this if you didn’t read the first book) and it’s about to get dramatic. Or is it? Yeah, so the same “high school shenanigans” are still running amok but these kids are now growing and evolving. Dare I say they are even maturing somewhat, which is above fantastic because the story needs this and I’m overjoyed that the author saw this and made it happen. There are 6 books in total in this journey and I’m glad the author didn’t hesitate to begin the growth now instead of waiting. This “volume” also comes with an edgy plot-point that probably should have captivated me more than it did and the reason it didn’t is because my brain was too focused on how I could fast forward thru the very real fuck-a-thon happening in these pages. *hangs head* It was a lot. Like go see your gynecologist, a lot. Feel me? But fear not, I have the whole storyline and it’s getting 👀👀👀!

🎧The narrating team the author has put together continues to be really great with 🎤Mollie Stark 🎤Lee Samuels 🎤Michael Gallagher 🎤E.M. Wylde 🎤Corvin King and 🎤Derek Prince. I’m kinda used to them by now and honestly don’t have to even think who’s who anymore. That happens a lot to me with multi-cast narrations but not this one. I don’t even remember it happening with the story that began this “semi-twisted” adventure of 5 boys who fall for a girl when they weren’t even looking! This journey is very detailed so of course each story takes up a good chunk of time in my ears but not in the story’s timeline. It’s impressive how I can forget how little time has passed because I’m so lost in the performance by this incredible team.

Spice was 5/5. And honestly, plot was also 4/5. The problem was how much spice there was.

The pacing in the book was absolutely off because it felt like one continuous fuckfest. To the point where I skimmed all the sex to try to search out the small moments of plot because I want to know what’s happening.

Of course, the book ends on a cliffhanger that drew me right back in and now I know I’m going to have to read the next book. But honestly, as hot as all the sex was, it got exhausting.

I hate it when reality creeps in when I’m reading books for pure escapism. Now I’m suddenly wondering: is Harper getting enough water because she must be insanely dehydrated. Or oh my god, she’s definitely getting a UTI and some sort of rash from chafing down there. How is her jaw not permanently locked from all the bjs she’s giving?

It gave no time to breathe in the book and all the sex made me feel like the guys really don’t care about her feelings. A little difficult to power through and this book took me longer than usual to finish.

DNF. RH. 2 ⭐️ for the smut, but i came only as far as 20% before i was done with the repetition. Reading some reviews it told me this books is mostly a never ending sex scene and from what I’ve read, i have to agree. I could do that with one book, when i’m in the mood, and i’ve already mostly done that. So dnf.

C.S. Berry, WHAT DO YOU PUT IN THESE BOOKS?!?! Literally and completely stopped adulting AGAIN and could not put it down! Their Twisted Rules by C.S. Berry is book two of the Untouched Volume 2 of 6, the serial that is now out as books and omg. If you love a HOT, dark, obsessed, why choose romance, with the now FIVE horsemen, I am telling you, GO READ THIS BOOK NOW!

This book starts right off where we left. Harper, in her senior year, she's always been the girl in the shadows. She chose on purpose to fade into the crowd so she never attracted the attention of the four horsemen; Luke is death, Caden is war, Jack is famine and Eli is pestilence. These men, each of them different in their own way. In the first book, they decided to claim her for the year, she is the last standing v@rgin in the school. They think they "own' her now and want to claim all her firsts, but truthfully that girl owns all four of those boys completely. And we were left at the end of book one with her first love and childhood best friend Nico walking in the door and unknown to her, he is ALSO a horseman! And it’s quickly apparent he is back to stay and equally wants her as well. I love Harper, she’s brave, she's strong, she stands up and fights. This book is her stepping out of the shadows without apology—claiming her power and becoming the Harper she was always meant to be. AND it’s these five boys, turning from the mean bullies to each of them slowly realizing they are falling for this amazing girl and let the protective and obsessive begin! I can't even describe the steam, the spice and heat of this book. It will burn you alive. It is so hot. It’s addicting, it's raw….. Ugh I can't even describe how good!

I loved this one just as much, maybe even more as we watched them all grow. We watch this sweet and loving girl show each an unconditional love they never have experienced. At times you want to scream at them all. And of course, there were so many twists and turns and every emotion and we are left at the end with more questions and so much more to come. I didn't want this to end and I cannot wait for the next one.

Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 5/5 ———-> Smut, smut, smut. Literally every other chapter is someone banging Harper. Spice > Plot. Which was totally okay. I was in the mood for this type of read.

Caden, sweet giant, Caden is the one to pop Harper’s cherry. Annnnnd then it’s a free for all. You can tell Caden, Nico and Luke harbor more feelings than Eli and Jack. In the last couple pages Eli and Jack say something that makes me think, yes they care about her, but she’s also just a hole to fill.

It is absolutely eating Harper alive that they could drop her at any minute. She’s lying to herself if she says she doesn’t want them more than she’s showing. Especially Nico Luke and Caden. But what does the future hold?

I can’t tell how much time has passed. It’s still football season. So i have to assume it’s still fall. None of them mention finals or anything. So they still have time for the school year. if they still intend to keep her that long.

This is only book 2 in the 6 book series. Now we wait… It ends on a cliffy. I’m sure there’s going to be some fall back on Luke after moving Harper like that and something happening with Kenz. We shall see.

I received an ARC from the author but all thoughts and reviews are my own.

This is book 2 in the Untouched series and it was so good! Harper is the virgin FMC and the 4 horseman who claimed her become 5 in this book. Nico, her best friend from childhood, moves back and happens to be the 5th horseman. There was so much going on in this book - but I flew through it! I loved the one on one interactions that Harper has with the guys - you can see that although they are tough and bullies, they truly care for her and want to keep her safe. Not sure which guy I like most - Caden or Luke or Jack or Eli or Nico. I know that I HATE Tanner - can't wait to see if he gets his own in book 3. I also don't love all the cheerleader bullies - but clearly they just want what they can't have. I can't wait for the next installment - it ended on kind of a cliff hanger - need to know what happens! This is a must read series and CS Berry is slowly becoming by auto buy/auto download author!

Did not finish. Writing was fine but could not get over the weird character choices, the fact that it takes place in HIGH SCHOOL, and the overly repetitive sex scenes.

I was waiting for this for forever (I forgot to buy the whole serial before it went away) and it did not disappoint at all. I feel a little bad for Harper. She got turned every way but loose! She said she was sore and I was sitting there like.... girl you've got 5 boys and you didn't tap out once! of course you're sore! I say the same things with every CS Berry book which is... get off her! but also it was getting good, so like don't.
I know some people wish they could be in the fmc's shoes and I do not, 5 is well I'm not sure how many too many but I feel like a few too many for me. I mean i would have to try it out first 🤭 no I'm kidding.
I love how we're seeing Harper form a relationship with each guy. I was getting annoyed that she keeps saying, "its just till the end of the year" like these guys are not gonna give you up? its obvious? but i 100% see where she's coming from. I love the introduction of Nico and how he is with her cause its kind of like she has someone rooting for her within the guys. Jack is fun, I liked seeing a little more into his home life, he seems the most well adjusted and i hope there is sword crossing cause I want it. idk if it would add to the story, I just want it selfishly. Eli is still an enigma to me. I'm not sure how i feel about him cause I feel like i only see him in spicy scenes till the end and like I don't know much about him yet? the ending makes it seem as if his backstory is coming. Luke is something else. I don't know where to stand with him either cause he is so domineering and controlling but at the same time you know its cause his home life is bad and he just wants some love but he's going about it in an insane way? like you could be nicer, but that thought has never crossed his mind until its too late or he thinks of something that makes him mad and he goes with that emotion instead. finally like Harper, unfortunately I do have a favorite and it is Caden. Hearing his backstory and why he hates Tanner and seeing the other try to calm him down, plus all his interactions with Harper does have me rooting for them but I really don't think it could be just them at the end of the day, they need the others. with that being said, if he's doing more house tours... I am available
I'm excited to see whats next for this group cause that ending was scary and I hope Kenz is ok cause that was an insane chance

Harper #2

Where has the PLOT gone?!?

This entire book is a p0rno with a pinch of plot squeezed in.
Harper's backbone is nearly nonexistent at this point.

I think I hate Luke.. and maybe Harper because she thinks she can handle Tanner. Regardless I'm addicted so I'll be reading the next book. HOPEFULLY something more than sex will happen.

Their Twisted Rules picks up immediately after the chaos of book one, and now that Nico has officially entered the picture, our four Horsemen have become five. The drama is escalating, the relationships are getting messier, and thankfully the characters are finally starting to grow up.

I still cannot fully explain why I am so invested in these ridiculous teenagers...but here I am. Completely hooked. Again. There are six books in this series, so I was really happy to see C.S. Berry start that emotional evolution now instead of dragging it out. The high school chaos is still very much alive, but there is actual character development happening beneath all the obsession, possessiveness, and dysfunction.

One of my favorite parts of this installment was watching Harper continue to step into her own. She's no longer content hiding in the background, and seeing her slowly gain confidence while each of the guys begins falling harder for her has been surprisingly satisfying. Harper may think this arrangement only lasts until the end of the school year, but girl, these boys are clearly not letting you go. She might be trying to protect her heart, but it's obvious she's becoming just as emotionally attached, especially to Nico, Caden, and Luke.

Caden continues to own my heart. The giant sweetheart energy mixed with his protectivenes... I am absolutely his. Nico's addition to the group also shifts the dynamic in such a good way. There's a familiarity and comfort between him and Harper that balances out the intensity of the others. Jack continues to surprise me, and I enjoyed getting more insight into his life. Eli is still the biggest mystery, although the ending makes me think his story is finally coming. Luke remains...Luke. Equal parts frustrating, controlling, protective, and deeply damaged. You can see where his behavior comes from without necessarily excusing it, which makes him one of the more complicated characters.

This book is HOT. Like...scorching. Five alarm fire. Absolutely no complaints about the quality of the spice because whew. It delivers. There is also A LOT of spice. The spice be spicing and it be spicing all the damn time. If you dont like that much smutty saturation, be warned, this one is leaning heavy on the steam. There were points where it honestly felt like one continuous hookup with tiny bits of plot squeezed in between. I actually found myself skimming some of the spicy scenes just to get back to the story because I genuinely wanted to know what was happening next. I never thought I'd say there was too much, but it did feel a little overkill after a bit. Also my body just be HURTING thinking about Harper lol.

Because the intimacy rarely slowed down, there wasn't always enough room for the emotional moments to breathe. At times it made it feel like some of the guys cared more about claiming Harper than understanding her. Thankfully, little glimpses of deeper feelings are starting to emerge, and I think that's setting up something much bigger for the rest of the series. We've got a lot to go, so I'm hoping we get more substance.

The plot itself continues to pull me in. There are enough twists, shifting dynamics, and unanswered questions to keep me fully invested, even when the spice threatens to take over the entire book. And of course...that ending. Yet another cliffhanger that immediately convinced me I'll be picking up book three because I have to know where this is all going.

The audiobook continues to be such a fun experience. The multi-cast duet narration is incredibly immersive, and at this point the cast feels completely natural together. Mollie Stark, Lee Samuels, Michael Gallagher, E.M. Wylde, Corvin King, and Derek Prince all bring distinct personalities to their characters, making it easy to follow every perspective without ever getting confused. Their chemistry elevates both the emotional scenes and the absolutely unhinged amount of spice. Even though these books cover a surprisingly short amount of time, the performances make the world feel rich, layered, and completely absorbing.

Overall, I had just as much fun with this one as I did the first book. Yes, the spice occasionally overwhelmed the story for me, but I'm so invested in Harper and these five obsessive disaster boys that I genuinely don't care. The character growth is beginning, the stakes are getting higher, and that cliffhanger has me more than ready for the next installment.

OMGosh! Clutching the pearls, ladies! Berry has found a way to write a sequel that is even more exciting and naughty than the first, and I couldn't stop reading it.

Plot Twist:
Nico was Harper's childhood best friend until he moved away. Now, he's back and ready to take Harper as his. Only the Horsemen stand in his way. How Nico ultimately decides to remedy the situation is both thrilling and surprising.

Character Development:
The guys are finding their way within the guidelines of this new relationship. Harper is learning to ask for and take what she wants, and she's learning to accept the guys as more than temporary owners. Each character has a story, and in the book, we get to hear some of them. In the words of Shrek, "The characters are like onions. They have layers, and you have to peel the layers away to learn about the character."

The Danger:
Besides the danger they each face to their hearts and sanity, they also face real danger in the form of Tanner and Harper's stalker. These elements add a level of forboding darkness that will keep you on the edge of your seat, clutching your throat, and making you gasp, praying that the characters emerge safe and unharmed. Though, given Harper's luck, that might not always be the case. The Horsemen and Harper have threats coming at them from every direction, some more surprising than others, and there doesn't seem to be an escape anywhere in sight yet.

My Feelings:
This is the part of the story where the men go from being Harper's tormentors to her protectors, the ones who give her everything and are willing to give up everything for her. It's funny to me, and flat-out frustrating at the same time, that they haven't all caught on to their own feelings for Harper. It's coming... I know it is, but it's nerve-racking to read the continuous blundering in their approach to their 'relationships'. More than once, I felt the need to junk punch the guys.
Caden has quickly become my favorite of the group, followed by Luke, Jack, Eli, and, yes, Nico comes in last. Nico may have known her first, but that doesn't mean he is the best for her, not right now, at least. His entitlement regarding Harper is more of a hindrance to their group dynamic than an advantage.
All of the guys, at one point, have made me want to love them and throttle them simultaneously. It is plain to see how the characters feel about one another, but outside forces are pushing the doubts back in, dragging down the characters and tainting their feelings, clouding their vision of what's right in front of them. Between the crappy home life for most of the Horsemen, Harper's abandonment issues, and high school politics, these characters are not in short supply of problems, but they are driving me crazy with their emotional mood swings.

Final Thoughts:
This book is phenomenal and the perfect continuation of the story. It will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You will travel the 360 loop of doubt, traverse the hills of tension, tackle the hurdles of passion, try desperately to avoid the tunnel of danger, and fly through the raw emotions of teenage angst. I'm eager to see if the guys smarten up and pull their heads out of their behinds long enough to see the truth that is slapping them in the face. I'm also looking forward to the moment when Harper realizes that she is the one with the most power.

Recommendation:
This book to anyone who enjoys a story about a girl who transforms from a quiet, invisible person into the powerful, passionate Queen she was meant to be. This book is also for those who enjoy reading about guys who go from controlling a**hats drunk on power, to protective bears intent on keeping their woman safe. This is a 'why choose high school romance' with tons of passion, exploration, first times, and angst.

Listen... if ever a book left me rocking the fetal position, this one might be it. First and foremost, this is book two in a series, so if you haven't read their twisted game, maybe pick that one up first. It is also so worth the read.
Second, this book is mostly spice, maybe 80-90%, so if that is not your jam, be wary. I melted for all of it and needed a cooldown 🥵
Third, C.S. Berry is just incredible and I'm so grateful that I get to eat up all her amazing stories. She never disappoints and I think some of her books might just be emotional support books now.
Now, to the story. This book was the air I needed to breathe and I devoured it like I had been living underwater for centuries. I could not put it down and I am so beside myself over that cliffhanger and what to do with myself until book three. I really hope that is soon, because holy cow, I need it like it is my next fix or something. Harper and the boys are just delicious and despite it being mostly spice in book 2, it was not overdone or redundant. I still felt like we had different scenes, experiences, and couplings. It was mind blowing and I was all here for it. We added a new horseman to the mix and he is an interesting addition. I was full team Nico in the beginning and toward the end I was questioning, so I'm super interested in what he's going to do next. There are a lot of characters I hate in this book, characters meant to be hated of course, but Tanner is so terrible and I hope he gets what is coming to him. I am soo here for Harper because I feel like the boys all confuse me too. One moment I'm swooning for one and the next, I'm angry at him. This is heightened for Luke, of course, but I also can't help how much they all send shivers down my spine! Poor Harper, I have no idea what is coming and how it will all play out, but again, I need it so much.
This book was a beast, which is crazy because the time span is only like a week! Despite that, the pacing didn't feel rushed or like it dragged. It was easy to devour and still want more. Also, even though it was mostly spice, there was still enough plot to keep it all flowing especially from book one. This book was just everything and I wish I could read it for the first time again. Our mmc devils are so enticing and so frustrating, but I'm so in love with them and have so much hope about their story/relationship development. So much swoon for Caden 😍❤️
Highly highly recommend, don't sleep on this one. I need more yesterday and I will be impatiently waiting and thinking about these guys constantly!

If you are looking for high spice this is the one for you! The plot is in there but it's hiding in between all the spicy times a little too well for me to bump it to a 4 star. The subplots outwith the claiming of Harper are what have me hooked and I have so many questions; what was Harper's mums reaction to Luke's dad all about and why is everyone scared of him, is it Tanner who has been creeping around Harper, and what is it the cheer monsters have planned as you know its going to be bad. I felt such a sense of dread over that jersey handover towards the end waiting for something to go wrong and the tension is what made me power through spicy fatigue I was starting to feel in the middle. My favourite moment though had to be Kenzie trying to puzzle out the 1 to 5 ratio; I could practically see her trying to work it out with stick figures!

Listening to the audio was what really kept me engaged though and its 5 stars for sure; Mollie Stark is so good as Harper with the perfect blend of sass and uncertainty. I'm loving seeing her confidence grow. Of the male narrators, Lee Samuels is my favourite as he makes Luke feel more than the possessive alpha he appears to be. I found myself actively looking for Luke when I listened as I feel he is most interesting of the mmcs so far. I liked seeing more of Jack and Eli too and I'm wondering if we'll ever see more of Jack's subplot with his former hookup. Nico was a great addition as although he can be as bad as the others, there needs to be some softness in there to stop it all being samey (although Caden is 100% the biggest teddy bear). I can't imagine Nico as having been the leader though so I think there may be a hidden side we haven't seen yet!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

I am still reeling from Their Twisted Rules! C.S. Berry has managed to make this sequel even more explosive than the first, and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

The Dynamics
The introduction of Nico—Harper’s childhood best friend—into the Horsemen’s circle (Luke, Eli, Caden, and Jack) adds such a fascinating layer of tension. Knowing that he already had a connection to the guys, and watching him join them in their pursuit of Harper, made the exclusivity of their "arrangement" feel so much more intense and personal.

The Emotional Tug-of-War
The character development in this book gave me serious emotional whiplash. There were times I felt like reaching into the pages just to slap the guys for their sheer stupidity and the way they handle things. But then, Berry peels back the layers of their backstories, and suddenly you want to cuddle them instead. Seeing their softer sides start to peek through made the "future" Harper imagines for them feel so clear and possible.

Harper’s Journey
I love Harper’s feistiness, but my heart broke for her throughout this book. Even as the chemistry goes off the charts and she finally decides to trust them, those insecurities about the "bet" and her status as the last senior girl kept crashing back in. What she thought would be a one-time encounter evolves into hidden closets and secret moments that are as intense as they are complicated.

The Lingering Threat
Just when you think you can catch your breath, Tanner is there to weird everyone out. His presence adds a dark, unsettling vibe that kept me on edge, proving that the Horsemen aren't the only ones Harper has to worry about.

Final Verdict: This book is a wild ride of tension, doubt, and raw emotion. I’m desperate to see if the guys can finally get out of their own way in the next book. If you like high-stakes romance with a heroine who stands her ground against five complicated men, you need to read this!

🎧 Audio Review 🎧

I am her to tell you C.S. Berry puts crack in this series. One you start this book you can’t stop or will you want to stop listening to this book. The is the second book in the untouched series. Before starting this book you need to listen to book 1 which is their dangerous game. Each book does end of cliffy but the cliff hangers have not been bad. I cannot wait for book 3 audios to drop. I am obsessed with this series. If you loved Katelyn Taylor Gallows Hill series you will love this series.

This book is narrated by Mollie Stark, Lee Samuels, Michael Gallagher, E.M. Wylde, Corvin King and, Derek Prince. They all do an amazing job with this audio. They each bring so much to their character and I absolutely love them. This audio book is definitely a top listen of the year for me.

Tropes:

• Forbidden Romance
• Virgin Heroine
• S*x Contract

• Football Romance

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Their twisted games picks up exactly where book 1 left off. We just found out that Harper’s best friend Nico who just returned back to town in part of the horseman group. Nico has to decide if is ok joining them in being committed to Harper. Harper also has someone who is trying to come after her and the horsemen are on a mission to figure it out.

I can’t say enough about this series I am absolutely obsessed with it and I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be on audio. This series is definitely a top series of 2026 for me. I will keep recommending this book. I need everyone to read. 🥰 Also if love a spicy book then this book will check that box.

**I want to thank C.S. Berry and One Nightstand Studios for giving me the chance to listen to Their Twisted Rules as an ALC. In exchange for my honest review and thoughts.***

If book one lit the match, Their Twisted Rules pours gasoline on the fire!🔥

Thank you to C.S. Berry and One Night Stand Studios for the ALC!

What surprised me most about this installment wasn’t the spice (and trust me, there is plenty of that 😳), but how much the emotional dynamics began to shift. Beneath all the chaos, possessiveness, and dark obsession, the walls around each of the Horsemen begin to crack, revealing pieces of the boys behind the reputations.

The addition of Nico changes the entire atmosphere of the story. His history with Harper adds another layer to an already complicated web of relationships, and I loved seeing Harper continue to find her footing in a world that seems determined to define her before she can define herself.

For me, the standout aspect of this series continues to be the character work. With five very different personalities vying for Harper’s attention, it would be easy for characters to blur together, but each relationship feels distinct and develops in its own way. Some connections are softer, some are volatile, and some still have a long way to go…and that’s exactly what keeps me invested.

As for the audiobook, the full cast continues to absolutely deliver. Multicast productions can sometimes feel overwhelming, but every performance felt intentional and memorable, making it effortless to sink into this complicated, messy, addictive world.

C.S. Berry has created the kind of story that makes you keep saying “just one more chapter” until suddenly it’s 2 a.m. and you’re staring at the acknowledgments wondering how you’re supposed to wait for the next book after that ending.

🎧 Their Twisted Rules picks up exactly where book one left off, and honestly, that’s probably why I hit play on this one almost immediately.

With Nico now back in the picture, the dynamics shift in a big way. What I enjoyed most was seeing more layers to the characters. While the bully romance elements are still very much present, this installment spends more time exploring loyalties, relationships, and the fallout from everything that’s already happened.

Harper continues to be the character I found myself rooting for. She’s finding her voice, pushing back more, and stepping out of the shadows she’d spent so long hiding in. Watching that growth kept me invested throughout the story.

The drama is dialled up, the secrets keep coming, and there are enough twists to make it difficult to predict where things are heading next. As with book one, the ending leaves plenty of unanswered questions and makes it very easy to jump straight into the next audiobook.

But once again, the real standout for me was the production. The full-cast duet narration brings so much energy and emotion to every scene that I genuinely think the audiobook experience elevates the story. Each narrator fully commits to their role, making the tension, angst, and character interactions feel far more immersive.

Was it dramatic? Absolutely.
Was I occasionally frustrated with these characters? Also yes.
Did I immediately want to know what happens next? Without question.

If you’re already invested in the Untouched series, this sequel delivers more drama, more obsession, more twists, and another cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book three.

📖🔥 Their Twisted Rules by C.S. Berry 🔥📖

If toxic obsession, morally gray men, power plays, and tension so thick you could choke on it is your thing… buckle up. 😮‍💨🖤

Their Twisted Rules is dark romance done RIGHT. This isn’t soft angst. This is possessive, calculated, “touch her and you’re done” energy with layers of manipulation and emotional warfare that had me flipping pages like my life depended on it. 📚💀

From the first chapter, the vibe is:
✨ Elite power
✨ Dangerous secrets
✨ Twisted loyalty
✨ Chemistry that burns instead of sparks

The tension??? IMMACULATE. The banter?? Sharp enough to draw blood. The men?? Walking red flags but somehow I’m colorblind. 🚩😌

C.S. Berry does this thing where she slowly tightens the leash around your heart and you don’t even realize you’re trapped until you’re fully invested and emotionally compromised. The push and pull had me stressed, obsessed, and questioning my morals in the best way.

And let’s talk about the spice 🌶️🔥
It’s not just physical — it’s psychological. It’s dominance in whispers. It’s control in eye contact. It’s “we make the rules” energy.

The FMC? Not weak. Not naive. She adapts. She survives. She learns the game… even when the rules are twisted beyond recognition.

The pacing builds and builds and then — BAM. That ending.

Her cliffhanger was EVIL 😭 but I was an original Untouched reader so I’m not completely feral… just mildly unhinged and impatiently waiting for the next book. 🖤📚

Everyone wants to be Harper right?!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you love dark romance that makes you uncomfortable in the best way and leaves you staring at the wall after the last page… this one’s for you.

Ok let me start off by saying, I am obsessed with this series. I will be listening to it until the end because I am so intrigued by these characters and I know there is so much more to this story. C.S. Berry, you know how to build tension, plot and make the spice coincide with the story. It’s perfect!
Here are the facts about this series. They are neither good nor bad just facts. These books are at least 75% spice. And the spice is HOT y’all. I honestly don’t know how Harper is still alive but damn the girl must be in incredible shape.
Friends, I love spice. I am a spice girl and I love the way C.S. Berry writes. The worst part is, the plot is so good I’m dying for more. I know there are big reveals coming and I know there’s more to this story and I’m so ready to get to it!
Now, as you can imagine with what I just told you, this audio is scorching hot. Headphones in at all times. This full cast audio is done so well. It’s seamless! Mollie Stark is one of my favorites and she is so good as Harper. Mollie does the best bratty, sassy FMC. This cast of male narrators is stacked and there are five of them. Lee Samuels, Michael Gallagher, E.M. Wylde, Corvin King and Derek Prince.
All of these guys will obviously melt you with the spice, but there is some real vulnerability and complexity to Harper’s guys. I think this will only grow as the story progresses, but I am so impressed with all of the acting talent in this series.
Overall, great series, spicy AF, just know that going in, but the plot is so good too! Can’t wait for the next book!!

And four horsemen become - FIVE? How???

Minor spoiler alert: Harper's childhood bestie Nico moved back to town. That's how.

In volume 2, we see Harper slowly come to terms with her agreement with the guys. She is now on everyone's radar: the Cheermonsters, the clingers, the classmates who call her derogatory things, the classmates who think it's just a bet for their entertainment only. However, Harper has not been hiding in plain sight all those years without learning a trick or two. She stays out of the drama as much as possible, despite all the PDA the guys are determined to shower upon her every day. Is it all a ploy? Is it a game for the guys? How is one girl supposed to be locked into an exclusive relationship with five very different guys?

Feelings are starting to emerge through everyone's masks. Everyone wants a little bit of alone time with Harper and talks of their post-graduation plans are thrown around. Harper does not realize how important she has become to each of them. She is determined to stay the same independent spirit she has been in the past, but new threats emerge with connections to her horsemen, and they are determined to see that Harper remains as untouched as possible. Only they can break her, but she's breaking them first.

This is a novelization of the Untouched serial in the now-defunct Kindle Vella platform. The storyline has not been changed much, but the pacing and narrative have been adjusted.

f you’re starting this book without reading Their Twisted Game first — don’t. This is very much a continuation, and the emotional impact depends on already knowing the characters and their dynamic.

Book two shifts everything. Harper can’t hide anymore, and being claimed by the Horsemen puts her directly in the spotlight — socially and emotionally. The return of Nico especially complicates things, because it forces past relationships and present loyalties to collide. What starts as an arrangement clearly isn’t staying one, and watching feelings develop underneath the rules is what really drives the story.

Yes, the book is heavy on spice, but it never feels repetitive or thrown in just to fill pages. Each interaction actually changes the relationships, and the tension between the guys themselves becomes just as interesting as their connection with Harper. One minute you’re swooning, the next you’re frustrated, and then somehow right back to invested again.

The pacing works surprisingly well considering the short timeline — it’s easy to binge in one sitting and still feel like a lot happened. And that ending? Absolutely cruel in the best way because now I immediately need the next book.

If you like darker high-school romance, possessive characters, messy emotions, and relationship dynamics that keep evolving instead of staying static, this series keeps getting stronger.

Their Twisted Rules
Untouched Vol 2 of 6
By: C.S. Berry
Narrated by: Mollie Stark, Lee Samuels, Michael Gallagher, E.M. Wylde, Corvin King, Derek Prince

Twisted rules isn't even the half of this second installment to the Untouched series. Book two picks up at the same party where the fifth Horseman and a person fro Harper's past is attending. Nico has decisions to make. He is back to spend his senior year with his friends, but most of all wanted to be with Harper. Surprising to him, she has been claimed by his four friends and he can either join them or lose her. the boys are learning just how special Harper is, and she is learning just what she has been missing. But the most important part of this story for me is figuring out who you can trust. Everyone wants to be close to the Horseman or wants revenge against the Horseman. The Cliffhanger for this one has left me wondering who is truly out to get Harper, and does it have to do with the Horseman. Excitement, passion, new experiences, it's all here in this story and it left me wanting more.

The continuing narration of the cast has created an incredible feelings for all the characters. Mollie Stark, Lee Samuels, Michael Gallagher, E.M. Wylde, Corvin King and Derek Prince all bring the voice that is perfectly fitting for their character. It's sensual and passionate and full of feelings keeping me riveted to the story.

Unbiased review (ARC) - 4.5 rounded up to 5

CS Berry delivers again with a super spicy book with more than enough plot to keep it interesting. The book is not a standalone; it’s a continuation of Their Dangerous Games, so unless you’re only here for the spice I recommend reading that first.

While the book is slow paced (the 600 pages cover a week in the life of our MCs) and roughly 70% spice, it’s super engaging and I breezed through it in two days. The spice is quite hot and the scenes are creative without feeling repetitive.

This book explores more of the 1:1 dynamics between the FMC and each of the MMCs, laying a solid foundation for their individual relationships outside the group dynamic. Each of them have interesting personalities and we get hints of each MCs backstory as context for their actions and motivations. Jack and Caden are my favorite MMCs, and I do like the headstrong FMC Harper as well.

The FMC explores her sexuality but grapples with self-doubt and what it means to be owned by the MMCs (The horsemen). She slowly builds an emotional connection with each of them, but refuses to believe the guys feel or want more with her than just a physical connection. That part was certainly frustrating as a reader because it’s quite obvious the arrangement means more to the guys and you see it in their behavior/actions, but I guess teenagers’ hormones-riddled brains work differently! I am hoping this changes in the future books. Can’t wait for the next book to come out!

The rules are simple: try to stay one step ahead of the Horsemen, and always pay attention to the fine print in any deal you make with Death.

This book picks up right where Their Dangerous Games left us — on a cliffhanger, with Harper absolutely speechless.

Four men were already a lot… but five? Things only get more interesting, more intense, and just a tiny bit messy.

What I love about this story is how each character has layers that interlock with the others. Luke, Caden, Jack, and Eli are a tight unit, but there was always one missing Horseman who completed their group. Nico is back, and as a Horseman, he gets to join the game they all started with Harper.

Harper is still in control of most of her firsts, but the Horsemen are quickly tearing down her walls with every touch.

The slow burn starts to shift, and it’s getting heated. It’s intoxicating to watch Harper’s development and desires bloom.

This book ends on a cliffhanger — but it’s worth the wait. Everything gets more intense, more chaotic, and a whole lot spicier.

5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌶️! Gorgeous cover!!!!
I’m still waiting for my reader to cool off enough to pick it up again!!! Very spicy, angsty, addictive, and now that Nico is back the horsemen have even more control over their girl! Harper is convinced that she’ll be dropped as soon as they get all of her firsts, but the emotional attachment with Caden, Nico, and even Eli are causing her moments of hopeful thinking. Luke is difficult to read: he’s intense, loves to punish her, but seems to want more. Jack’s attention wavers at times, but his actions are focused on Harper.

I love their protectiveness, their obsession, and their ‘restraint’ while following her rules!! It’s twisted at times: kinky games, jealous mean girls, and suspense watching for stalkers. C S Berry packs so much into this story and I love every page! Harper is becoming their center while each of these guys figure out how much she means to them! I’m so grateful for the advance reader copy from this author and am leaving a honest review.

Their Twisted Rules is a dark why choose high school romance. It picks up right where Their Dangerous Games left off-at the party where Nico shows up and surprises Harper. Please read all content warnings before listening and beware of the cliffhanger. Now that Nico is back in town, how will Harper react? Nico wants Harper for himself but he is willing to share her. Everyone’s emotions are getting stronger-maybe turning into love. But, trouble is on the horizon. Who is trying to hurt Harper?
The duet multicast narration was beyond extraordinary. Mollie Stark was spectacular as sweet, strong, sassy Harper. All of her hurt, pain, uncertainty, vulnerability, intelligence, strength and sass were all clearly evident in her voice. Lee Samuels was superb as arrogant, cocky, alpha, possessive Luke. Michael Gallagher was splendid as charming, BDSM loving Eli. Corvin King was magnificent as gruff, grumpy, quiet, obsessive, possessive Caden. E. M. Wylde was sensational as flirty, playful Jack. Derek Prince was marvelous as sweet, kind, possessive, determined Nico. These talented lice actors brought this story to life beautifully. I highly recommend listening to this fabulous audiobook.
Thanks to the author and One Night Stand Studios for this ALC.

The next book in the Untouched series was just as great as the first. I could not put it down, I pulled an all nighter like i did in college because of this book, "Their Twisted Rules." You must read the first book before this one but you won't be disappointed. In "Their Twisted Rules" Nico is back. Now there are 5 horseman instead of the 4. Nico was hoping to rekindle what he had with Harper, to come home to the horsemen and to with the girl who felt like home. This book to me has it all, it's so pact full of goodness and full of spice. One of the things I find interesting is the dynamic between the horsemen and the cheerleader girls. With the mean girl mentality and wanting to sleep with the popular boys. I find it fascinating. CS Berry is a wonderful writer, she did it again in this book. A wonderful next book in the series. I cannot wait for the 3rd. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I was given an advance reader copy of this book for my honest review.

Their Twisted Rules is the second book of six in the Untouched series by C.S. Berry. This is a why choose dark romance with some things that may trigger some readers. Harper and her Horsemen’s story continues. And then there were 5…. Horsemen that is. Luke, Caden, Eli, Jack and now Harper’s best friend from childhood Nico. They want all of her firsts and continue to knock them off the list one by one all the while things keep happening to Harper. What will be next? How much will she go through? C.S. Berry Is the queen of cliffhangers and has again left us wondering what’s next for these characters. C.S. Berry Is my favorite why choose author because she gives you a great storyline along with lots of spice and even though cliffhangers are frustrating she does them so well making you crave the next book. I am on edge waiting for the next book in this Untouched series which is Their Cruel Play.

Reverse harem
Why choose
Hot Football Heroes
Enemies to Lovers
Possessive Heroes
Bullies to Protectors
Multi POV - 1st person

Duet Multicast narration - Mollie Stark, Lee Samuels, Michael Gallagher, E.M. Wylde, Corvin King, Derek Prince
This truly is an amazing line up of narrators. They are all so talented.

Book # 2 Untouched series
*Must be read in order*

Being the last virgin in the senior class catches the eye of the horsemen. I think this series is good... I wish they were just a little older... At least in college. However, I am locked into this series now and I have to finish the series. I need to know what will happen next.

The narration is fantastic, they are truly spoiling us with this casting. Each narrator performs their character perfectly. The story is interesting... They have a deal they can't hook up with anyone else and she gets to decide when she gives up her V card.

Overall, an intriguing story and I will continue the series.

Their Twisted Rule is a continuation of the story, and it delivers in a spectacular way. I honestly did not think it could get somuch better. I read most of it when it was on Velle, and I loved it. The additional elements, the details, make it better in every sense. I have been waiting for Nico to enter the story. I was not ready. The chemistry was already high, but with Nico added it just exploded. Honestly, I don't know what to say. I could not put the book down. I need more. If there is any flaw, it's that the books are coming out in parts and not all at once. But honestly, I don't think I could handle one book. Harper is relatable even if in a situation that might not happen in real life. The tension from the threat that looms over adds the perfect amount of suspense. The emotions it evokes are real and pull you in. This is going to be an epic ride, and I am so ready for it.
