He didn’t ask for my heart. He took it with his teeth.
Kinsley I hate jocks. The swagger. The entitlement. The way they look at girls like we’re trophies.
West Monroe is the worst of them. Hockey captain. Heartbreaker. He’s fast, brutal, and untouchable. And for some reason, he wants me.
It starts with a dare. One kiss. One secret. One night I can’t take back.
Now he’s everywhere— In my classes. My texts. My head. He doesn’t care that I’m not like the others. He doesn’t care that I told him no.
He wants me in his jersey. In his bed. In his blood.
And the worst part? I want him too. Even if it means losing everything to keep him.
West She hates me. Thinks I’m just another jock with a pretty face and a dirty reputation.
But Kinsley Fischer doesn’t get it— I don’t want her like the others. I want her ruined.
She kissed me like she was drowning. Then tried to pretend it didn’t mean anything. But I felt it. The way her body gave in. The way her mouth trembled. The way she wanted me to take more.
Now I see her everywhere. In the stands. In the hallways. In my bed, even when she’s not there.
She says no. But her eyes say try harder.
So I will. I’ll break her rules. Her pride. Her name.
I’ll make her mine— not just for a night, or a season. Forever.
Because I don’t want her love. I want her obsession. Her surrender. Her silence when I tell her she belongs to me.
I’ll wrap her in my jersey and watch her forget who she was before I touched her.

With every page, she invites readers to find solace and inspiration, reminding them that even in the darkest times, there is always a glimmer of light.
This book was full of conflict and desire. Kinsley was filled with an internal chaos that no one could see behind her carefully maintained control, until West that is. One dare threatened to unravel everything that she’d built of herself, but it turned out to be exactly what she needed to find her peace. This story isn’t heavy on side characters, but I do want to go back and read the first book to learn more about her brother and sister in law. This is the perfect story if you’re looking for something intense and sometimes sweet.

Wanting You is the second book in the Only Have Eyes For You series. This second book skillfully explores the intricacies of desire, control, and the life-changing impact of a deep connection. It is a gripping read for anyone who enjoys intense character dynamics and a romance. Wanting You is a nuanced page-turner and an addictive read that keeps the readers engaged throughout.
Right from the start, the tension between Kinsley and West is evident, stemming from their conflicting initial impressions. Kinsley, smart and fiercely independent, has a strong distaste for jocks, considering them to be arrogant and entitled. West Monroe, the charming hockey star, is everything she claims to dislike. However, it is this contrast that sparks the undeniable attraction between them. A dare, a kiss, shatters Kinsley's carefully built walls, drawing her to West despite her initial protest and trying to resist him. West is not simply drawn to Kinsley; he is obsessed. He thinks he sees beyond Kinsley's external defiance, sensing the internal turmoil and passion she so carefully hides. West doesn't want only her affection; he wants her complete submission, which pushes Kinsley to comprehend her own weaknesses and desires. Kinsley is his tempest. The relationship between Kinsley and West is a never-ending push and pull, yet there is a quiet understanding and a unique connection. West's possessiveness, in a way, is a sense of fierce protectiveness, recognition of her worth, and a need to be her constant in the storm.
It is well-written, enjoyable, and character-driven with strong, complex characters and an intense romance. Highly recommended.
Kinsley hates jocks and West might be at the top of the list or is he? Kinsley just wants to acknowledged for accomplishments because girl is intelligent (all her parents see are her brother). West is a a freaking genius that also happens to play hockey. These two have an encounter that throws her right in his line of sight. These two are sparing with each without even using words. They are going tit for tat. Kinsley thinks she can win but West seems to always be a few steps ahead. This man wants to be her peace and calm and how is doing that by controlling her own life. Kinsley is slowly unraveling. These two are so intense, their connection is electric. Kinsley tried to fight it and West love the fight she has. He wants to be her peace and she is his storm. West is ready to go to war for his woman, he lets you know she’s mine and you disrespect her and we will have problems. This was a good book, the only thing I wish there was more of was dialogue between the two of them. They were able to connect without words but I wish they would have talked more. This is the second book of the series so we got a check update on the characters from the previous book. I wonder who the third book will be about. I have a guess.
Kinsley is a challenge, brilliant, and fiery, and West loves it. He is obsessed with Kinsley. From their first encounter with each other, Kinsley thought she was conducting an experiment and proving something to herself when she kissed West, but what she didn’t know was that he already had an eye on her way before she had one on him. And since that kiss there was so much back and forth, push and pull, because Kinsely is such a head strong person that she doesn’t want to lose that control that West is slowly but surely taking. Kinsley is a little complex , but nothing that West can’t handle. He wants to possess and contain that storm that brews beneath Kinsley’s skin. This was a pretty great read. I loved the first book a little more, but this one wasn’t too bad. Loved the obsessed and stalker behavior of West, god so I love those traits in a guy lol. But overall, not a bad read. Just had a little hard time capturing my attention.
Wanting You is a good, obsessive romance I couldn't put down!! It starts with a dare and quickly becomes a battle of control, desire, and unraveling emotions.
What you get..... ♡Hockey Romance ♡Enemies to Lovers ♡College Romance ♡TA x Student ♡Stalker ♡Forced Proximity ♡Fake Dating ♡Mental Health Representation ♡Obsession ♡Great Banter ♡Spicy Scenes 🔥 🥵 🔥 🥵
West is relentless from the moment he kisses Kinsley, and his single minded focus on her makes their tension impossible to ignore.
Kinsley’s internal chaos and carefully built walls make her compelling, and watching West push his way into her life sometimes sweetly/manipulatively kept me hooked!
L.B. does a great job at sucking us into her stories and making us love her characters!
If you love possessive heroes, emotional unraveling, and a romance that burns hot and intense, this one delivers!!
West knew what he wanted and nothing would stop him. He's the king of campus, captain of the hockey team and his sights are on Kinsley. Kinsley hates jocks, always in the shadow of her football god brother, Kane. One dare changes everything. That kiss was so much more, it made West even more obsessed. Kinsley tries to stay away but West is everywhere, not backing down. He understands the storms brewing inside her and doesn't want to decrease them. He understands her, she just needs to see it. L.B. knows how to write an obsessed and possessive MMC as well as strong and independent FMCs. The chemistry, banter and spice was so well written.
Wanting You by L.B. Martin... what starts off as a dare turns in to a chess match.
That characters are amazing. I love Kinsley! Someone who constantly puts one foot in front of the other with her head held high even through her struggles. The there is West who is just borderline crazy... the good kind ;)
For the most part, this book took a hold of me and captured my attention, I wasn't that fond of the ending. I guess I just expected more.
Wanting You is book two in the Only Have Eyes For You Series.
The intensity between Kinsley and West was off the charts. West can be manipulative at times and he finds her weakness and uses it to get her right where he wants her. Once West set his sights on her there was no escape for Kinsley. I loved how intense West got about Kinsley the deeper they into their relationship together. Great read!
This story held me from the start, the chase, the"villain" but maybe not quite villian, the chaos, the slow break down of the lead character (but in all the right ways, albeit unconventional).... Great story!
Kinsey is a shy strong woman who knows where she’s going in life when her friend dears her to kiss West she takes the dare West is the ice hockey man who gets everything he wants and now his eyes are set on Kinsley
From the first chapter I was hooked. There is an undeniable connection that keeps you turning each page with an obsession to see what happens next. I could not put this down even though I had other things that I should have been doing. Do yourself a favor and grab a copy today.
