The Bone Carver is book 4 in this series, and for the most part, it was a decent read. I do have to take issue with the fact that previous to their attempt, the longest trial lasted 88 rounds. Now, they win it in considerably fewer rounds. No explanation, nothing pointing to the fact that it was coming to an end, except for a few dropped hints that this level would be their last one, without any context whatsoever of how they would know that.
Major continuity errors like this one really trigger me. I realize most folks won't care, but consistency is the whole point of a story.
Other than that blaring error, the story was fairly decent, and while I'll read the next one, I'm really not all that anxious to do so, since the story isn't really making me want to invest in it's characters anymore. It's been obvious for the last few books where this portion of the story was going, and I had no problem with that, but this just threw me off entirely. I'll probably read the next book when it comes out if I come across it in my wanderings, but I won't be keeping an eye out for it like I do so many other series sequels I really like.

Hidden Class: The Bone Carver, Best book Evarrr! Hidden Class, Best series Evarrr!
Because of Jack's Hidden Class he was able to synergistically add Bone Carving into the mix of other skills that he has been leveling! They all empower each other. Although Bone Carving does take center stage in this book it's still only a fraction of what he's actually up to. But first he has'ta save his cousin Rob from a horrible fate! Just like doin a Heist or really just kidnapping Rob right from under the IronIre guild's nose! And all the while diving a dungeon! JackOfDiamonds has a great team covering his back and adding Rob might just be the winning ticket to survive the monster waves! Well that and Bone Carving that is!

November 13, 2025Excellent continuation of a great storyline!
I have to admit I was a little leery when I first started this series, but it just keeps getting better and better. Jack continues his evolution from king of the slackers into someone really special, with broadening friendships, work ethic and his skills and determination growing by leaps and bounds. The team dynamic in the group continues to develop as their bonds strengthen and the group becomes more important than personal progress. A great read and I'm already waiting on the next book!

Love this book!!! I read this for free via Kindle unlimited but im love it so much im going to purchase all of the books in this series. Its just amazing!!! Im sad I have to wait 4 months till the next one but im going to check out his other books for now. You don't want to miss this read.
