Perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber and Susan Wiggs, this sweet small-town romance will make you believe in second chances, the magic of coming home, and love that's worth the wait.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and have already read books one and two in this series prior to receiving this book. I have really enjoyed my time in Serendipity Springs and this third book just re enforced that feeling! Even though I wasn’t under any obligation to leave a review, I wanted to offer my honest, voluntary impression of this book upon finishing it.
Ella has written a sweet, no spice hometown series where people do make one feel welcome whether you’re a stranger or in Emma’s case returning after a twenty year absence for her high school reunion.
Emma’s life hasn’t turned out how she had thought it would and isn’t really looking forward to seeing her old classmates, especially Liam whose heart she broke along with her own when she broke up with him upon graduation. She has questioned her lonely existence since wondering if that was the biggest mistake she had ever made. They’re awkward around each other at first but when they get roped into a project by a matchmaking friend they find the same easy rhythm in doing things together that they had before. Then Emma overhears a conversation and thinks the worst and distances herself once again. However, Liam sees her and gets her to tell him what’s wrong and lets her know what he was really talking about.
No matter how old one gets and perhaps it’s even harder as we age our insecurities surface when what we overhear may not be what we think it is. Again this just goes to show how important communication between people are- face to face even to judge by their expressions if what they’re saying is true or not!
Fear can dominate and paralyze our thoughts when we hear something and without hearing the entire conversation can make erroneous assumptions which more often than not are incorrect!
While this was an enjoyable read it brings up a crucial thing every relationship must have. Anytime you hear something you don’t understand via rumors or scraps of a conversation, don’t assume the worst- find out by asking the person what they meant! In this case if Liam hadn’t confronted Emma to find out what was bothering her, their futures would have once again been as dark and lonely as they were prior to seeing each other again after 20 years!
I really enjoyed this book and my return to Serendipity Springs and wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend not only this book but this series as one I know you’ll enjoy as well! It’s wholesome, clean, no spice content which you’ll enjoy because the conversations within tell the story fully and if you’re like me, you’ll see people who remind you of someone you know or knew whether in high school or work that makes the book that much more interesting!
I urge you to get and read this book and check out this series yourself. I feel confident you’ll be happy you did!
Summer Reunion at Serendipity Springs is an Excellent story of Emma Sinclair a Freelance Editor visits her Mother Linda as she is attending a school reunion. Liam Hayes also attends and used to be Emma's Boyfriend but their lives went in different directions. But when they meet they find their maybe some feeling still there. During the weekend there are ups and downs and as they get to know each other. They are both a bit scared and do not want to be hurt. But what will happen? Superb story and series that I have enjoyed reading and I highly recommend that you read.

Such a sweet second chance novella. Liam and Emma are going to go to the high school reunion after years. They haven’t seen each other since they broke up all that time ago. And even they see each other again, feelings stir. Of course there’s that moment that almost ruins them working through things, but it passes and they’re able to come together again. This was such a nice and cozy story. Really enjoyed it.
This is my third visit to Serendipity Springs and once again, I am left with a warm and cozy feeling. What a cute story about high school sweethearts meeting up after 20 years at their high school reunion and all their feelings that reappeared so quickly. Loved this second chance story!.

Good short second chance romance. Emma and Liam haven’t seen each other in twenty years since they broke up. Reconnecting at their high school reunion is fraught with emotions. Of course there is the requisite misunderstanding, but I loved how easily they both fell right into the same feelings.

A warm, restorative novel about coming home—to a place, to people, and to yourself. It’s ideal for readers who love community‑centred romance, second chances, and stories that leave you with a soft smile.
A nice story. A little too fast for my taste but it makes sense since it covers a three day class reunion. Would have liked more for the ending...like some months later a proposal then the wedding etc but maybe we'll see that in a future book.
