Kane Revealed

Rate this book
Since they met, Emelda and Kane have battled shadow organizations, cartel assassins, and monsters both human and inhuman.

Now, they face a global threat unlike any before.

When Kane confronts a mutated beast with powers that dwarf his own, the unthinkable happens—leaving Emelda to doubt everything she has ever known.

With time running out and enemies closing in, new allies and old adversaries converge in a desperate final stand. But in a world where science has twisted nature's laws, the fate of humanity now rests solely on this "pack of two."

There are books you love, and then there are books you love so much the characters are seared in to your heart and brains. The Wolfwere series, and Kane and Emelda are the latter. Their voices live in me (the audiobooks make that doubly so). Thank you Dick for these wonderful adventures.

Outstanding,PHENOMENAL,WOW!!!

Kane and Emelda are desperately trying to save their new friends and family along with literally the world , putting themselves in harms way to do this. Things that have developed all become clearer and of course more difficult. You MUST join them in this final battle that I’ve found I really do not want to end . A perfect ending as this entire series has lead us into the lives of Kane and Emelda and now they have come into their own, developing relationships with lifelong friends, and through their battles saving the world they have found the true meaning of life with love. I’ll always have a special place in my head and heart for Kane and Emelda and this world perhaps if wish hard enough Dick Wybrow will let us know how they are doing once in a while….. The whole series… A MUST READ!!!!

Kane Revealed by Dick Wybrow
Wolfwere Series Book Eight
Emelda Thorne and Kane are on another adventure. It turns out that Dr. Faria Pental did not die in the explosion of her home, back when Doc Hammer took Kane under false pretenses. And she wants their help to find Marata. So our two heroes are going to all the old labs…trying to find the ones hidden within camouflage buildings. Or caves that are dangerous to go in.
When an incident arises that they have to prioritize, they do. A rogue sector of the “shifter” communities wants to prove they are above humans. They want to make themselves known. Emelda and Kane have to stop them.
So many little things happen while they are trying to save the world. I won’t mention them as it would be a spoiler alert.
It was sad leaving Kane and Emelda after these eight books. Great stories full of action and humor.

Great HEA

I will miss this series and am so glad it got the ending it deserved. There is lots of action and humor in this series and I really enjoyed all the characters, good and bad. Kane's outlook on life is great and I love how he and Emelda seem to be able to read each other and agree on the actions they take. I have read the first book in the new Metamorph Rising series and am looking forward to more books in that series and hope maybe Kane nd Emelda will make a guest appearance.

What a way to end things

Kane and Emelda continue their mission with the 'evil, mad scientist'. What could go wrong? Will they find the secret weapon to save the human race? Will they survive? Will Kane ever learn to read? Dick Wybrow brings us barreling into new adventures with all the laughs, eyerolls, and breath holding (from fear and anxiety, not kinkiness, where is your mind going?) we love. How does it all end? Better grab a copy and find out.

An 8 book series I read in a week!

Mr Wybrow’s series is a good well thought out story. I liked the ending of the first 5 books but was happy to dive into the next three when I saw they were available. And he listened to his readers when they said they wanted more story line. The dry humor was especially enjoyable as well as the segue characters for his other storylines. If he only worked in a Monty Python reference my day would have been complete!

Good

So far, so good. I'm impressed that this story, after all this time, is still going great. But Céline Dion!? Not all the french Canadians think it is good music. In fact, if listening to « my heart will go on » was the only way to survive, I would prefer to be beheaded by a flaming woodpecker with explosive diarrhea than to endure the excruciating pain to hear it one more time… 😂

Kane Revealed

The final book in the Kane series and all the stops are out. It is a whirlwind journey around the world to try to stop the Emergence from happening. High octane, one exciting adventure after another. Filled with angst, wit and humour.
Do Emelda and Kane get their HEA or do they fall at the final seemingly insurmountable task. You’ll just have to read it to find out.

I am going to miss emelda and Kane and the crazy things they get mixed up in but saving the world is on the agenda for this final book . I don’t want to leave any spoilers but there were certain characters that I wanted to meet a fate becoming of them then I remembered that Kane doesn’t understand the human condition called karma. Great book looking forward to more from this author

a fitting and satisfying end ….

But I don’t want it to end; I want more Kane and Emelda but the author will have to invent a new story line because our heroes killed all the bad guys from this story line. I don’t do plot summaries but I do enthusiasm well; go grab book 1 and catch up. You’re welcome.

Fun series

Waited to review this until series finished. Don't always complete a series. Easy reading, great characters, loved the humor. References to past TV/movies, entertainers was really fun. Especially since most fit in with my age bracket. No gratuitous sex to skip or wade through.
Thanks, Donitta

What an exciting wrap up to a really fun, unusual and entertaining series! I was torn as I began reading....knowing this was the last in a series I've enjoyed and didn't really want to end. Without giving anything away, I'll say I was a great last story and not to be missed. The entire series is fun, wild, crazy, heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking... And well worth your time.

and so it ends

I’m sad that this is the end of the Kane books. They were quite funny. I’ve spent a number of years in Pensacola, FL and don’t live that far from there now so I enjoyed the beach making an appearance in this book.

Long live Kane!

I cannot say enough good about this series. The combination of story, humor, characters, and heart is unmatched. Begin at the beginning, "Kane," and dig in. This series is unmatched.

Brilliant!

What an amazing series, I loved every page.
I cried tears of laughter, tears of sadness and chewed a lot of my nails off due to the suspense.
I'm very tempted to start all over again!!

Time well spent

I so enjoyed my time with these characters! The wit and humor in these books was fabulous! The action was non stop and the visual imagery was the best I have ever experienced in a book. I am already missing my time with Kane and Emelda.

More adventures ahead

A couple of miracles saves, but overall a great ending to a series. Not as much snark as the first couple of books and I do like Emelda snark. Kane is maturing and giving back some snark of his own.

Next?

I have absolutely adored this series. I feel I know these two personally. This book wrapped them up and tied them with a big red bow? So logically this could be the end. I'm just hoping it's not, and Wybrow left a door open to hope for more adventures.

I enjoyed this series. For me, the last couple of books were a little out there, but I did like them. I was hoping for more closure on a couple of minor characters’ storylines. Overall, I loved the humor and witty banter/snark throughout the series.

I got what wanted

Ultimately, I got what I wanted. Sometimes, well, a lot of times I was disappointed in the way this book was written … and, there are still unanswered questions.
