The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone Complete Collection
You never mess with a young girl around James Brownstone.
It doesn't matter what crime syndicate you belong to, that just doesn't sit well with him.
The world has changed since the news of Oriceran came out twenty years before. Now, countries all over the world have agreed to using a bounty system for dangerous criminals using advanced magic or advanced technology.
People too powerful for the cops to deal with.
Magical criminals, thugs and bounty hunters, in the future we revert to what worked in the past.
If you find out you are hunted by Brownstone, we suggest you turn yourself in.
It will save you a monumental ass-kicking.
Brownstone likes his life simple, but Life is about to throw him a wicked curveball.

Rollicking good story
This could have been wrapped up in 10 books instead of 22 and it would have been an improvement. There was a definite build but it was interrupted with inconsequential side stories and interminable crap dialogue, just skip through most of that, it doesn't add anything after book 10 or so. Character arcs are there but pretty dang shallow.
The saving grace is that a fair amount of the build comes to fruition in the final battle, as I was hoping it would, as it should, but in other series is often ignored. The real reasons it didn't get a 4 star is that the overwhelming references to barbeque became mind numbing and the repetitive use of the words annoying and kick ass are overwhelmingly .... annoying.

Just a warning
There is a lot, as in A LOT of cursing, and I'm not a prudish person. Starts on page 1. Almost all the cursing and nasty vocabulary says to me, that this writer suffers from insecurities. Just to throw a few cuss words on each page and for no actual good reasen, cept, cuss this and slander that just to impress, well that's plain disrespectful. I don't mind a strong word when it's use makes sense.
I decided not to read this series. I like Michael Anderle as a writer and I have read plenty of his work. So this schmack slap in your face kind of writing doesn't seem his style. And I rather move on. Lots to read. So many good works I'm anxious to read.
Just be aware cursing and profanity from page one.

Fantasy meets aliens, what's not too love.
If you've read anything Oricean, this series is for you. I have read things out of order, starting with Alison, then What and finally Makes but, it really doesn't matter because they all have amazing characters, fantastic plotlines, spot on action, magic and tech. Seeing things from different perspectives is great. I have been inventing my own barbecue sauces, with varying levels of success, thanks to the books imprinting it on me 😂. Aliens, I I've always said it I met one I would have one hand out to shake, and the other behind my back with a gun in it. Glad I am not alone in that thinking, thanks Michael.

Entertaining
I enjoyed this series. I have read other series that Michael Anderle had helped/coauthored and enjoyed them. I found this series self depreciated any sarcastic. He had me laughing with the main characters family, while James is just comprehending what just happened to him. The series early books followed a stream lined time line, although the last couple jumped ahead. I would be interested in finding the "lost" stories. I will continue other series from Mr. Andersen and recommend to anyone who enjoys light hearted banter stories.

fairly good action adventure
I finished the 22 books, gratuitous cursing through out really detracted from the story line and made the characters seem mentally slow. had some nice plot twists but many were predictable. Themes of some reconciliation and self improvement were good. In an age of violence, lack of compromise and understanding the theme of using extreme violence to solve all problem did get tiresome over 22 books. I did enjoy the books but I would not reccommend to teens and preteens .

Didn't Think I'd Like It
As much as I enjoy Michael's books, taking on a 22 book saga was more than a little intimidating. I thought I'd get bored half way through, but the more you get to know the Brownstone family, the more you want to hear. This is a great series of stories and you get to follow their characters journeys from Level 1 to 20. Never disappoints, never gets dull. Worth every minute!

Absolutely brilliant!
I enjoyed this series of books very much indeed. What a man James Brownstone is, and I don't think I will be likely to ever forget him. I hope the author continues to make many more stories of the other characters in this series, as I for one would love that!

Small discrepancy...but no biggie! Still love the series.
Love Brownstone. This is the 3rd time reading the series and I just realized that chapters 3 and 9 say in the first book that James Brownstone has a bald head. After rescuing Allison's mom, he is running hands through his hair. What? Anyhow, that won't stop me from saying this is a great series

good book for reading if you’re in prison
To be honest I read the first five books then skipped to the the two books. It got pretty repetitive. If you have a lot of time on your hands then go for it. Overall it was entertaining and worth reading.

Redneck
He's a classic redneck. He's got a truck, a dog, barbecue, and a woman. That's as redneck as you can get. The only thing that even dents that is he's from LA instead of the somewhere in the south. Outstanding series. 5*+

wonderful series
James Brownstone evolves in every book, becoming more incredible. Hard not to give spoilers for such a long series, but you won’t regret reading this one! He’s one of my favorite characters from fantasy/sci-fi ever.

Must Read!!!!!
This was an an amazing series of stories to read. His writing as always pulls you into the stories like you are a part of them. These are so good I would listen in my car driving back and forth to work because I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.

Absolute Gold!
Riveted to these pages from the moment I opened book 1! Amazing character archs and fully developed characters was only the tease of greatness. Sprinkled in were fun references and even events in my home state of Wyoming, and yes, they were all relevant. Lol

A fun read
5000+ pages of excitement gave two weeks of satisfying reading time. The character development is excellent. Hate to reach the conclusion but sure I will spend time with the other works of this author

An excellent series
A nice action packed series that provided a number of surprises along the way. All though the main character can seem overpowered at times the twists in the plot and the well spaced reveals keep the story interesting.

Adventure and mayhem!
Oh my!
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, the characters are wonderfully colorful, each one unique, and well developed, leaving just enough for one's imagination to 'see' them

An interesting read
Completely ridiculous, zany, and weird. An absolute joy to read. Don't go looking for Shakespeare here, but find instead a glorious romp through challenges and enemies.

Mr James Brownstone
I read everyone of the twenty two books and enjoyed every one of them. So much action but each one showed how important love was in a relationship and family. I received every one who enjoys reading about action as in these books, then these are a Must read

well written
The story is long and progresses with each book however does get a bit monotonous with brownstones comments and the comments of those around him - about him.

Unbelievably Long Books
Minimal is best.
I laughed. I cried... Not. I loved every minute of the month it took to read, and laughed all over again.
Just read this and enjoy.

Moves along nicely. Thrilling, fast paced story. Keeps readers engaged. Imaginative well told story. I wonder how he can follow it up.
