EOIN
A promise to a dying man had me invading her life,
leaving a trail of blood right through it.
But I can’t stay away.
Something about the innocent little ballerina tugs at my very soul.
The horrors she’s seen match my own.
Like calls to like.
But when she tells me to leave, I leave.
Yet, I continue to pull the strings behind the scenes.
To keep her safe. To keep her mine.

EVELYN
I’ve been made a prisoner in my own house,
under the promise of safety from everything he brought to the doorstep.
Everyone I’ve ever loved is dead,
and the only one I have to blame is him.
In the same breath that I curse him,
I find myself wanting him even more.
When chaos comes knocking again,
it’s the Irish Devil who answers.

Vice & Part 2 is a Prohibition Era mafia romance set in Chicago during the 1930s. Part 2 continues the story of Eoin O'Malley, boss of the North Side Boys, and the young ballerina who captures his full attention and soon becomes his obsession.

Wren is a former Southern girl living in Michigan with her little family, two dogs, and two cats. Obsessed with all things mafia-related, she loves few things more than a good, angsty Mafia Romance. She spends most of her time reading, writing, and designing. Her stories often deal with dark, deep elements and she always makes her characters earn their happily ever after.

Her favorite tropes are Enemies-to-Lovers, Arranged and Forced Marriages, “Touch Her and Die”, Age Gap, and Morally Grey Men.

Book 2 definitely turned up the tension and spice along with an explosive twist!

With Rossi and Clark circling closer to Evie with each chapter, we get to see the monster that Eoin is come out to play and he is terrifying.

The dual POV of Evie and Eoin were well done - the light and the dark outlooks on this story. I'm glad we got to see more of Eoin's brothers spotlighted in this book; it helps build the relationships further and storyline with the opposing mob. Grady is probably my favourite character of them all and I would love for a novella on his backstory.

To end the book on a cliffhanger with the promise of more to come was the perfect wrap up to this darkening story.

This was a really good book. Eoin and Eve were great characters. I loved the way they were written. The twists and turns between them. I also loved how the story in general was written. The spice was spicing, and the description was amazing. It really pulls you in and Kris you wanting more. I had a real love/hare relationship with Eoin. Can’t wait to read what comes next.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I’m obsessed with Evie and Eoin’s story! It was a lot of fun to pick up where part one left off while also getting a glimpse into their past encounters. I wasn’t prepared to dislike Eoin as much as I did for most of the book. But I should’ve known he wasn’t the groveling type. Evie’s grief felt so real and heartbreaking. I can’t wait for part three and I really hope it brings some peace for her.

This was such a good book. I recommend reading book 1 before book 2 or something’s won’t make sense. I enjoyed this book.
