Lily Foster's latest sweet, sexy new adult romance

One hockey phenom, destined for the pros.
One summer he'll never forget.
One girl he will never stop loving...

First loves are not easily forgotten…
Anna has endured more by the age of eighteen than most do in a lifetime. Unless you know her, you see only the beautiful, privileged, bright college freshman who seems to have it all. Few people know what she’s gone through or know who she really is.
Declan has never forgotten Anna and feels foolish for it. So young, and their time together so brief, but he still can’t shake the feeling that she was meant for him—that she’s the only one who’s ever really understood him. But Anna’s been gone for a long time now. She’s no more than a distant, painful memory.
Fate can be cruel or fate can be kind…
By the time Anna and Declan come face to face again, time has passed, grief has changed them both and they’ve each found love and solace in someone else’s arms.
Has too much time passed, or are the bonds of our first true love as strong as they feel when we’re young, innocent, and consumed with the promise of forever?

Let Me Heal Your Heart is Book 4 in Lily Foster’s Let Me series. The books are inter-connected, stand-alone romances.

A great follow-up to Let Me Go (Let Me #3) by Lily Foster which was my favorite in this series. Anna and Declan's story wasn't all fluffy HEA. In fact, at times I wished the book came with a box of tissues. But the writing truly made me feel everything the two main characters went through. I missed them both after I finished the book. I'd say that's crazy...but that's how I always feel after I read a great story.

I've been making my way through these author's books over the past year and I like each one better than the one before. This book was the most beautiful of all, although I really connected with the characters in each one. One of my favorites for 2015.

Amazing story. I literally plowed through this entire series in a matter of THREE DAYS! Every character in each one of these books affected me deeply. Even Dylan's parents, margot and Vince...they deserve a story of their own. And Dylan, I NEED more of him too! She's one of my new favorite authors.

I loved the writing and have to say there were points during this book where I was actually weeping. I think that's a credit to an author when they can actually drive you to laugh out loud, cry or swoon. While reading this book, I definitely did all three.
The story revolves around Anna and Declan. They meet as teenagers and then meet again, years later. Their love story is so freaking great! Touching, complicated, hot...it was a great read.
I have not yet read the books preceding this one in the series and can say that I am eager to now. The book can definitely be read as a stand-alone but there are references to certain characters, namely Dylan and Kasia from the third book in the series, that I now NEED to know more about.
If you're a fan of new adult genre books, this is one to pick up.

I didn't want to get to the last page...that's how much I loved this book. I liked how the book spanned a period of time giving us a glimpse into the first-meet between these two. The plot was emotional and well done. I also liked how we got to reconnect with Dylan in this book, because I loved him from Let Me Go.

I wish I have read this one in my college days. Probably I’d have connected more with the characters and adjusted to their flaws. I think this book would appeal to a particular age group and since I’m not in that set, I might not be the best judge of it.
The book has an interesting plot. Anna and Declan meet at the grief camp at the very young age for a brief time. Three years later they found themselves studying at the same college. The memory of innocent first love freshens, starting a romantic affair.
The reader get to see perspective of both Anna and Declan as they caught up in the mesh of love and keep on complicating things which makes me wonder how they can be so be naive. Why can’t they run a simple relationship? But then love is difficult; more when you’re 18. About the book- it’s very well written and story flows smoothly. There were parts where I was completely immersed into it but as I reached the end it all got predictable and mushy. But take nothing away from the author, who has clearly put a lot of hard work and her heart in writing this book and making it utterly romantic. If you’re into love stories, or in love or felt the pain of break up, you’ll enjoy it.

Note: This is a standalone book and can be read in any order in the series.
PS: Gift this book to your boyfriend/ girlfriend.

You will fall in love with Anna and Declan

I've been waiting for this book to release and did a happy dance when I saw the day had finally arrived!
I'm in New York....it's COLD this week...so I was happy to snuggle up last night with a glass of wine and dive in. The story follows Anna, who you were briefly introduced to in Let Me Go. The story is original and well written. I loved Anna...and Declan, what can I say? Hot, heartbreaking, but good to the core; he's my new favorite book boyfriend.
This book made me cry (actual freaking tears!) and also had me aching...those emotions of first true love. Like with her other books, I feel kind of sad now that I've finished. So, so good.

Oh, I love a good love story and this was another one from this author who is becoming one of my faves. I don't know if I'd call this a series, as the books plots aren't dependent or related to one another, but I feel this book was related a little more closely to the one that preceeeded it.
I loved Anna when she was introduced in Let Me Go and was so glad to see this story centered on her. Declan, oh my freaking heavens....love him. The story had some much heart, so much realistic drama, and so much heat.

I was given this book to write an honest review.
What a great read!  I loved this book and how easily it flowed.
I found the book to be heartbreaking and heart warming at the same time, how Anna and Declan met, what became of them and how their lives tumbled back into each others.
Both characters were excellently written and very likeable. Aside from crying I grinned throughout the book.
I found it to be gripping and very hard to put down, I just had to know what happened.
Well written Lily and looking forward to reading more from this author.

Holy....such a good story. More coming of age than the previous books but definitely risqué enough to be new adult. I laughed, wept, and was drunk on love reading this book. Highly recommended for fans of the authors I love....Tamara Weber, jasinda Wilder, Rebecca Donovan, Colleen Hoover, etc.

***contains some spoilers***

I liked this one FAR better than the previous novel. (I haven't read the first two). The writing was more established, characters more developed, and I just liked the story better (but that is personal preference).

I am a big fan of the chase, the angst, the drama. I loved the second chance romance aspect of this and when we got the flashback, we got the sweetness of the 15 year old first love during a hard time in their lives. That added a dimension that I really enjoyed at the beginning. We got to skip all the introduction and got that in the flashback.

I really liked Anna (and disliked her, but I will get back to that). I really feel like her character was very real for an 18 year old just starting school and having that strong emotional connection to Declan. She was decisive about her relationship, about her job, about what she wanted. I appreciate decisive female leads.

I liked Declan. I felt his struggle. While I did feel like he lacked some MAJOR balls and was able to be so easily manipulated , you can empathize why. I felt like he needed to vocalize these reasons far earlier in the book, but then, we would miss some of the drama.

Some things I wasn't super fond of: I didn't like how weak Declan was. He needed to man up earlier. Granted, I understand why, but how far it went in the story got a little tiring. Also, how weak Anna was in reference to Declan. It seemed a little out of character from the previous book and in other aspects of her life. In love, we do tend to act like fools, but we all know how to play the game a little. Oh, and the female characters being TOTALLY ok with cheating is NOT ok with me. Tess, Anna...COME ON. This is the second book by this author that just excuses cheating away. I don't understand this. Again, personal preference...I don't like cheating in books, but to just say "It's ok!" Try again. At least Anna gave Declan a hard time for his ill behavior.

One final complaint, and it's actually a good one, is that I wish the happy ending was longer. We have all this build up for not a lot of happy times. It was a little bit of a let down, but maybe we'll get cameos in later books. I DO hope that Dylan (from book 3 Let Me Go) actually gets a book. I am still hung up on that one.

Overall, I would give this a solid 4-4.5, if not a bit higher. I didn't ever feel like I wanted to stop and read it in 1 day. Great read.

**Read for Review**

I loved this book. Declan and Anna meet at a camp that was suppose to help them handle grief. They both lost someone close them in a sudden way. But they didn't just lose someone to death, they both lost their parents too. Their love blossomed over a two week stay at the grief camp, but it lasted in both of their hearts.

Over the years that Declan and Anna were separated, they never forgot each other. So when they meet up again 3 years later in college, they couldn't deny the way their hearts felt.

Declan was a great guy. I didn't agree with the way he handle a lot of things, but as the reader, I never doubted how he felt about Anna. Anna was a strong and beautiful young women.

I could talk about this story all night, but I don't want to give anything away. This story is the first I have read by the author Lily Foster, but it will not be the last. I recommend this book to any reader that loves romance, tragedy and all the ups and downs in between.

Let Me Heal Your Heart is the Fourth installment in the Let Me Series by Lily Foster. Please note that I have read this series out of order and this does not detract at all from the story lines. In fact I found myself going back and reading the first and second book after the third and fourth book simply because they were so good.
I love this novel because we see more of Anna from the third book Let Me Go, please note however you do not have to have read Let Me Go to understand the storyline at all. This book delves into Anna’s history and the tragic event that resulted in her living with her Aunt, Uncle and Cousin.
It a story of second chance love and will have you hooked throughout the book whether because of the tears you shed of the laughs it gives you this is a beautifully written novel. I recommend this book to any romance lovers.

This is the second book that I have read from Lily Foster and I absolutely loved it! I'm such a sap and always want there to be a happy ending, and always want the lead characters to fall in love and live happily ever after. I couldn't put my kindle down, I loved the ups and downs that Anna and Declan went through to be together. Highly recommend her books, and hope maybe a sequel?

I really enjoyed this book! I felt like I was right back in college which is what I love about new adult college romances! I enjoyed the romance between the two of them and the many conflicts that they had to overcome to finally get together. It felt more realistic than other romance books that I have read. LET ME HEAL YOUR HEART is listed as the 4th book in the "Let Me" series, and comes before LET ME FALL (5th book). But I personally think it should come after it, and strongly recommend you read LET ME FALL first, as I did. While it's not absolutely necessary to understand what's going on, it sets the stage for a deeper understanding of the heroine's motivation in particular.

While LET ME HEAL YOUR HEART wasn't quite as luminous as LET ME FALL in my opinion, it's certainly up there in a compelling story. Loss of a loved one is never easy to accept, and both the hero and heroine are dealing with crushing losses which the reader experiences along with them. I know most people dislike flashbacks, but I loved the way the author gave us the H/h backstory, which was necessary to understand the emotional bond they shared.

Lily Foster is a gifted storyteller, and has quickly become a "must read" for me.

I did not start Let Me Heal Your Heart with high hopes. I was immediately turned off by the contempt both Declan and Anna had for their parents. I know the author was trying to convey how bad a job the parents were doing, but I didn’t care for their overly dramatic, Armageddon viewpoints. I didn't have any perspective for it. And, when Anna says her parents are immature, she went behind the eight ball and was going to have to win me back.

As soon as the storyline went backwards, to when the two meet in at grief camp, it turned around for me, and I became absorbed in Anna and Declan's story. It became a book I looked forward to reading, and finishing.

The Negatives:
My biggest pet peeve about this story was the amount of characters. Too. Many. Names! New characters were dropped into the story flippantly. There was literally no way to keep track of who was who.
Anna, Avery, Brandon, Cassie, Carolyn, Colleen, Colin, Charlotte, CeeCee Tate, Declan, Drew, Dylan, Danielle, Darcy, Jimmy, James, Jamie, Frank, Jeremy, Kate, Kasia Lauren, Laney, Paige, Rebecca, Shane, Simon, Terrence, Tess, Tori, Will, Warner, Victoria, Tom, Ben, Sarah Donnelly and Chloe Barnes. … and I’m sure I missed a few.

The worst part is, the majority of these people are not important to the story. Tom and Ben are in a scene two chapters from the end. CeeCee Tate is a name tossed in. Anna’s best friends from high school Sarah Donnelly and Chloe Barnes make a showing, once, for a New Year’s Eve party. Why were they important? What did they add to the story? I didn’t know anything about these characters, and nothing was explained. I understand this book is part of a series (which I have not read), and I’m fairly certain if I had read the other books, these characters might be familiar. But I haven’t, and I found the excessive name-dropping maddening.

Anna’s success in architecture seemed to pop out of nowhere. This hadn’t been emphasized in the earlier part of the book, so when we are suddenly introduced to Anna, the amazing architectural protégé, it felt fabricated.

Anna and Declan were constantly saying the other’s name. Best example is at the end, when Declan says, “Anna, you need to know that I love you. I’ll try to never fuck up again, Anna.” It’s so formal. The only time I call my husband by his name is when I’m angry or if I’m calling to him from across a room or the yard. Other times, it’s pretty rare.

A few typos, but nothing terrible.

The Positive:
Declan and Anna’s story was an intense one. They had an emotional connection that I felt, and I liked how they helped each other through their pain and sorrow. I’m not a hockey fan, but I did enjoy this aspect of the story. Declan’s prowess as an up-and-coming NHL hockey player was just enough a part of the story that it was interesting and rather exciting for a ‘non-fan’ without overshadowing the story.

At times I was like, ‘oh, poor rich girl’ with Anna, but I actually liked her character. Despite her earlier whining about her parents, she became an independent and driven young woman. She won me back. I felt the growth of her character when she realized she shouldn’t push her parents away when they were trying to make amends. She was fiercely loyal to her friends.

The last chapter was more like an epilogue, but I enjoyed reading about Declan’s success, and the locket.

Lily Foster is a strong writer. She puts you in the seat and you become immersed in the lives of her characters. I would definitely read more by this author.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. My very first impression was that this is not going to be a light, fluffy, easy romance novel. It contains characters that are dealing with some very heavy issues, most notably PTSD. I found it to be very realistic and powerful in its own right, and it pulled me into the story from the very first page. The message that love conquers all comes through, which is really beautiful.

I found the characters extremely likable, and the fact that it switched voices between characters was done seamlessly. Although I wanted to dislike the main male character, Declan, as I read his side of the story I admitted to myself that I probably wouldn’t have behaved much different. He was a young man in a difficult situation and was being essentially black-mailed into staying in a relationship by playing upon his worst fears.

Although I have limited knowledge about PTSD, I think the topic was handled respectfully and showed that this is a life-long issue that people have to deal with and that it takes a great deal of effort every day, every minute even to survive it.

My only complaint about this book was the number of names of people in it. At times I would come across another name and think, “Okay….who is that again?”

Overall, an excellent book and I will definitely recommend it to others!

I received a copy of Let Me Heal Your Heart in exchange for an honest review.

It's the beginning of a new year and incoming freshmen Anna and Declan both are hoping for a great year. They each are in a relationship with someone on another campus but have no reason to think that anything will come in the way of those relationships. Funny how fate has a way of surprising everyone when Anna and Declan, who met years ago at a grief summer camp, run into each other on campus and old feelings start to pour out.

Anna is a strong character who I met briefly in book 3 (Let Me Go) of the Let Me series, so it was nice to be able to get to know her better and learn about what makes her who she is. It surprised me a little bit that Anna's story was going on though, one the same timeline as Dylan and Kasia's story was playing out back home.

Declan was likeable, except that I really wanted him to grow a bit of a backbone when it came to his relationship with Tessa. He didn't always handle things well and he had to have known deep down inside that his actions were going to come back to bite him in the end.

Overall, I did enjoy the story, and everything worked out the way that I wanted it to!!
