Sultry green eyes.
Smooth olive skin.
Luscious, plump lips.

Alicia Garcia is a dream, and when I set my sights on her for the first time, I can't seem to tear my gaze away.
That is, until she opens her sassy little mouth, hurling venomous words my way, which causes a severe disdain for the little viper, and has me questioning the marriage agreement between our families.
She's disobedient and does everything in her power to make me lose what little patience I have left. Although I enjoy the little games we seem to play, I hate that everything is out of my control.

My life is already complicated, and I fear our marriage will only cause more chaos and destruction.

This is book three in a series of interconnected standalones, each of which features a member of the King family and can be read individually. It is, however, recommended to read them in the order they're released to have a better understanding of the story and each of the characters.

I loved this book so much and it was the perfect ending to the series. I loved the banter and tension between Dom and Alicia and all the hate to love vibes. Naturally one of my favorite characters had to be Jellybean aka Alicia's furry best friend. Jellybean was the cutest and if she can make a grumpy mafia man like Dom love her she can make anyone love her. Even if I wished that the King series didn't have to end it was a really good ending and I'm gonna miss these characters especially Kaleb and Sophia that have been my favorites since Obsessive Love

Miss Mia Sian, I need more.

Alicia is the queen of sass, and I’m here for every second of it. Dom being so standoffish is exactly what I expected him to be as well, and he had his good moments too.

We need to acknowledge Kaleb being in all his protective glory because that man is something else.

Well done on another fab book! 🥰

ARC Read

Destructive Love by Mia Sian is a dark mafia romance that thrives on tension, power, and an enemies-to-lovers dynamic so sharp it practically crackles off the page. Set against the ruthless backdrop of England’s mafia underworld, this story delivers forced proximity, an arranged marriage, and a hero who falls first, hard, even as chaos and violence circle everything he touches.

From the very first encounter, the chemistry between Alicia Garcia and her future husband is volatile. Alicia is fiery, defiant, and unapologetically sharp-tongued, refusing to bow quietly to a life decided for her. Her resistance is exactly what throws the MMC off balance. What begins as irritation and disdain quickly morphs into obsession, desire, and an all-consuming need to protect what he claims, even when claiming her feels like the most dangerous thing he could do.

Mia Sian excels at writing power struggles that feel equal, even within an arranged marriage framework. Forced proximity only intensifies the push and pull between these two, turning every interaction into a battle of wills laced with heat. The he falls first energy is strong, and watching that shift from frustration to devotion is deeply satisfying. The will kill if necessary theme isn’t just posturing here; it’s woven into the MMC’s actions, making his protectiveness feel both terrifying and intoxicating.

The tone of Destructive Love is dark, intense, and addictive, but it never loses its emotional core. Beneath the violence and control is a love story about surrender, trust, and choosing each other in a world built on blood and obligation. The spice level sits at a solid 3.5/5, striking a balance where the heat enhances the emotional stakes rather than overpowering them.

Honestly, what I loved most is the entire damn book. This story played out so vividly in my mind that it genuinely felt cinematic, like the kind of book that should be a movie so you could rewatch your favourite scenes over and over again. By the time I reached the epilogue, I don’t even know if I was already emotionally fragile or if the book just hit that hard, but the happy tears absolutely made an appearance.

If I had to offer a critique… I can’t. There isn’t one. This book delivered exactly what it promised and then some.

I would recommend Destructive Love on my soul, until the end of time, to readers who love dark mafia romance, enemies-to-lovers tension, arranged marriages, forced proximity, and MMCs who fall first and love with lethal devotion. It’s intense, emotional, violent, and deeply satisfying; a standout read and a powerful entry in this interconnected standalone series.

Destructive Love ~ The King Series Book 3

Have you ever picked up the 3rd book in an interconnected standalone series and thought 'f*ck it, let's start at the end'? Because I did!

I fell in love with every single character and now it's influenced me to read the whole series from the start and fall in love with them and their stories all over again.
Here's a note I wrote once I started reading; 'I'm on chapter 3 and I'm loving this already! The snarkiness of both MCs is pure feiry entertainment!'

It took me 3 days to read this, it should technically be 4, but I don't think my gossipy pool day can really be counted since the radio was on. But, when I turned my kindle on to read, my "one more chapter" coin knew I needed more. Plus, when is one more chapter ever quite enough?

I'm a huge sucker for pretty covers, especially black/ grey, pink, green, blue and red. If it's eye catching, I'm picking it up right away.
It also had a bunch of my favourite tropes rolled into one, including:
🎀 Mafia
🎀 Dual POV
🎀 Forced Proximity
🎀 Arranged Marriage
🎀 Hate to Love
🎀 Grumpy x Sassy
🎀 Pierced MMC 😉

Honestly, what is there to dislike about this book, besides one vengeful bastard, a hard good bye, and a certain action that shouldn't have happened? Besides these 3 things, which I can't spoil obviously, I didn't find a thing I disliked without it being obvious that you should!

Something I loved though, and couldn't read through without highlighting the entire thing, happened towards the end of the book! The way it was written made it feel like the MMC was speaking to me and making my heart melt. Ahhh, the hopes of a single, unmarried woman. 😂😭

You're an incredible writer Mia, never stop. 🩶

I cannot wait to read this again! But in order so I can connect the dots to things I wish I already knew and to see my favourite character's stories through their own eyes. I think this book will always hold a small piece of my soul with it because I was pulled in from the word "Storming", (which is the very first word in the Prologue)!

If you love dark books with bright pink spots throughout, or if you just love an arranged marriage mafia romance where the MCs hate each other until they realise they're in love, then this one is easily for you. 🩶

Devoured it!! But noooooo… this can’t be the end of the King series?!? There’s still sooo much to discover, soo many characters. Did Leo find Avery? Will Jericho return and what’s he been up to?! And Rory, how does she move on from her trauma? So many questions!

But back to the book… I just loved it! It’s hands down one of my favourite series. I love how Mia includes the characters from previous books, they feature heavily and not just a name drop. Keeps story connected and flows so well, reminding us why we love them all!

Oh Dom 😍 I think he may well just be my favourite MMC from this series. He’s dark and brooding and loves the fight… then we learn how emotional and how hard he loves. Alicia (little viper) was a super firey, no BS, FMC and the perfect match for Dom! Again, she loves hard. I liked how they worked through their communication difficulties together.

One of my favourite things about this book is Kaleb coming out of ‘retirement’ hahaha! He will always be soo unhinged but so lovable at the same time, I’m happy he still has this side to him. I enjoyed his feature in this final book, after all, he’s the day 1!

My one wish would be that the story was longer! I could have read it for days, I didn’t want it to end! I just wanted more.

Such an easy read but still with all the plot, tension and spice! Thank you Mia Sian but please don’t keep us waiting for the Novellas, I can’t take it!

When the sassy American mafia Princess marries the grumpy arsed British crime King: Alicia & Dominic. Neither particularly wants it & they let the other know, repeatedly. But… when her very territorial pup falls for him, it’s only a matter of time before their feelings begin to thaw.

𝚃𝚛𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚜:
Arranged marriage
Mafia families
Sassy FMC
Alphahole MMC
Hate to love
Found family
Who did this to you?
Pierced 🍆
A possessive Pomeranian

𝚃𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜:
I love an arranged marriage. If they’re determined to despise each other, even better!! Dom is just delicious, if a little questionable in his actions at times but the way he & Alicia work through things is… interesting 😉. And who doesn’t love a big, burly Mafia man, walking a pink bow wearing Pomeranian?!?

Plus, we get to see some fun banter from loved characters of the previous books (as for Kaleb, I don’t think that man will ever truly retire 🤭).

A amazing end to this fabulous series!! I’ve loved each of the 3 books so I’m sad to see it end but so grateful to have had the opportunity to read them because Mia is definitely one of my fave authors!! Here’s hoping she has some plans for enforcer, Leo because those teasers about his past!! 👀

Highly recommended read!!!

ARC REVIEW

Alicia and Dom. Oh man. Where should I start?
First, I loved that Alicia, that she doesn't allow others to think she a cute innocent girl. Because she's not. She is not a brat but she's feisty, always needs to have the last word and knows how to not gave in. But I wouldn't call it stubbornness. I like to call it self-esteem. And that makes a huge difference from Mias other FMC's from her books.
Dom is..uhh okay. Don't get me wrong, I really thought of him as an arrogant prick. At least in the beginning, but somehow I wasn't annoyed by his attitude. He wasn't this slimy kind of guy. It was this kind of attractive arrogance that pulled me to him.
So I think when Alicia and Dom crashed together like to powerfull comets, both didn't expected the slow growing flame.

This book had a much different vibe. It was...more darker, more intense. The MCs were nothing like Mias other characters, thats for sure. And I really enjoyed it.

It’s finally here, the review we’ve all been waiting for. I don't even know where to start when it comes to thanking you Mia for, well for Kaleb first of all. But we're talking about Dom's book, so thank you for trusting me, but fuck you for making me cry 😭🩷

Review:

Wow, I don't even know where the fuck i'm supposed to start with this review, I also have to be careful not to spoil anything. From the second I started this book I wanted more, Alicia and Dom are just perfect. Alicia is an absolute icon, I love everything about her, I wanna be her when I grow up. She's funny, she's smart, strong, she doesn't take shit from no one and I LOVE that about her. I love how she never hesitates to speak her mind, it makes for some funny comments honestly. She's someone everyone should aspire to be more like honestly. She's literally perfect in every way, she's the best sister and of course, the greatest dog mum ever to the cutest little Pomeranian. Jellybean is perfect, I love her and her cute little bow. Honestly I could sit here forever talking about her and Jellybean tbh.

You know, let's finally talk about Dominic, we already know how much I love this man. Like honestly, everything about him is perfect, sure I wanted to hit him once or twice, and best believe I made that VERY well known, I of course forgave him a couple seconds later, I could never be mad at him for long. I'm so fucking glad we got to his book, because he really does deserve it. He's such an easy to love character, sure he's grumpy and a bit of an asshole, but that's part of what makes him so lovable. And, like with all of Mia's characters, he's so fucking funny. It's literally impossible not to love him.

Okay, enough of our MC's, let's get to the good stuff, the story, the writing, author. I've fucking loved this series, from page one til the very end, and while Kaleb is for SURE my favourite man, between you and me? This may be my favourite book... MAY be, idk yet, I'm still thinking. But either way, it's real fucking close for me, it was such an incredible story, and I mean, what's not to love about a tall, intimidating man walking a cute little Pomeranian wearing a pink bow? Like, how can you not love that. From page one til the end the story just flows so naturally, it didn't feel rushed, or like anything was forced, it just works perfectly. And that's one of my favourite things about Mia's writing honestly. If I listed them all we'd be here forever.

Now, I can't finish this review without talking about the little appearances we had, first of all Leo!! Oh my god, I need his book immediately!!! That man is absolutely perfect in every way and I will hear no objections, none. He's perfect and I love him. I love everything about him. I miss him already. One of my personal favourite moments? Any time Kaleb appeared honestly, I missed him so much, and i don't know how I'm supposed to live a life without him in it, like what the fuck?! I don't wanna do that, nuh uh, give him back. I just know he’s going to be the greatest dad ever and I REALLY hope we get to see him again, and very soon because I’m having withdrawals. Plus Jaylen appears, and he’s just as funny in Dom’s book as he is in his own. So is his love of food. It’s impossible not to love Jaylen and his ways, him and Kaleb are hands down the funniest duo ever, I love everything about them.

Mia, you wonderful, and mean human being, thank you for giving us such incredible characters. And for giving them the happy ending they deserve. I have, as you know, fucking loved this series, and all of it’s characters (excluding Alessandro, Lenny, and Danny, them fuckers can die, and SLOWLY.) But the rest of them? Oh I loved them all so fucking much it’s insane, you kindly gave them your sense of humour and I love it. They are some of my favourite characters, not just because you wrote them. Everything I’ve said, I haven’t just said it all because we’re friends, even if I hated you (I could NEVER) I would still talk about your books and characters with as much love as I do now. But, before I shut up, I want 1053 more books in this series please and thank you, oh, and can 800 of them be Kaleb? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

This book had me hooked from the very first chapter, and honestly, I don’t think I was ever ready for how hard it would hit. An enforced marriage between two powerful families throws Dominic and Alicia into each other’s orbit, and neither of them is even remotely pleased about it. What follows is pure chaos in the best way—constant friction, razor-sharp dialogue, and two people who would rather burn the world down than admit they feel something real. The tension between them is electric, and watching that resistance slowly crumble while they’re forced to share a home was beyond addictive.

The dynamic between Dom and Alicia is absolute gold. Their back-and-forth is fast, biting, and laugh-out-loud funny, with that unmistakable edge of attraction simmering just beneath the surface. They hide desire behind irritation so well that it makes every interaction feel charged. And then there’s Jellybean—truly the unexpected star. Seeing this intimidating mafia man completely unravel into a devoted dog dad was both hilarious and ridiculously sweet. Dom plus Jellybean was a pairing I never knew I needed, but now I’ll never shut up about it.

Alicia herself is unforgettable. She’s bold, sharp-tongued, fiercely loyal, and refuses to shrink herself for anyone. Despite being born into this world, she doesn’t fit the traditional mold at all—and that’s exactly what makes her so compelling. Tattoos, piercings, attitude, and all, she knows who she is and never apologizes for it. She steps into dangerous situations with confidence and proves time and time again that she’s more than capable of handling herself. I especially loved how Dominic’s mother immediately saw her strength and knew she was the only woman strong enough to match her son. That recognition felt powerful and well-earned.

And Dominic… wow. This man felt everything. Watching him slowly fall, fight it, and then completely unravel was such a rewarding journey. He’s gruff, stubborn, and frustrating at times, but underneath all of that is someone deeply emotional, loyal, and unafraid to show vulnerability. Seeing a male main character who cries, loves fiercely, and puts his family above everything else was refreshing and made him impossible not to adore. When he finally allows himself to be soft, it’s genuinely heart-melting—even if I wished he’d reached that point a little sooner.

The family dynamics were another standout. The way the King family surrounded Alicia with protection and acceptance made the story feel rich and grounded. Jaylen and Rory’s presence especially reinforced that sense of belonging, and it was beautiful to watch Alicia find her place among them. The appearances from familiar faces throughout the series were such a treat too—every scene with Kaleb, Jaylen, or Leo reminded me why I fell in love with this world in the first place. And Leo? I desperately need his story. Immediately.

As a finale, this book delivers everything: passion, humor, emotion, and heart. The pacing is smooth, the balance between plot and spice is spot-on, and the story never feels forced or rushed. If anything, I wanted more time with Dom and Alicia once they finally came together—I would’ve loved an epilogue just to bask in their happiness a little longer. Saying goodbye to this family is genuinely hard, because no amount of books would ever feel like enough.

Mia has an incredible talent for creating characters that feel real, flawed, and deeply lovable. Her writing pulls you in so completely that time disappears, and before you know it, you’re at the last page wishing it wasn’t over. This series has been such a joy to read, and while I’m heartbroken that it’s ended, I’m beyond excited to see what she gives us next. Until then, I’ll just be over here missing the Kings—and hoping we haven’t truly seen the last of them. 💔📚

When an arranged marriage between the Kings and Garcias forces Dominic and Alicia together, neither of them is happy about it. They clash immediately, avoid their feelings, and seem far more comfortable hating each other than admitting there might be something real between them. But once they are living under the same roof, the attraction they have both been fighting starts demanding to be acknowledged.

OH MY GOD, these two were instant fire on fire. Their banter and verbal sparring were ridiculously entertaining and had me laughing so hard. And not to mention the true highlight as Jellybean and Dom together were hilarious. Watching this tough mafia man turn into a full on dog dad to the floofball was honestly so comical and endearing. I also loved how protective the King family was over Alicia, especially Jaylen and Rory. It really strengthened that sense of family and made Alicia feel like she truly belonged.

“No matter what she says, or does, I still find her enchanting. All her strengths, all her flaws, they’re a part of her.”

Alicia was the full package. She was fierce and unapologetically herself, and I loved that Dom’s mom recognized her fire long before anyone else did. She knew immediately that Alicia was the perfect woman to stand her ground against her hard-headed son. With her tattoos, piercings, and strong personality, Alicia is no typical mafia princess despite being the youngest daughter. The way she handled herself and got out of tough situations just proved what a true baddie she is.

And Dom…this man was YEARNING. Watching him fall head over heels was everything. I do wish he had come to terms with his feelings a little earlier because when Dom is soft, he is SO sweet. That said, I loved him deeply. He is emotional, unafraid to cry, and loves his family fiercely (even Kaleb). His vulnerability made him such a lovable guy.

“You are one of the most remarkable women I have ever met. You’re a sight to behold, and you’re a force to be reckoned with.”

The third and final book in the King series left me wishing for more in the best way. I cannot believe we are done with this family because no amount of books would ever feel like enough. I am really hoping we get to explore Leo’s tragic love story next and maybe even see Jericho get his own happily ever after. And what about Jess? I would have absolutely loved an epilogue for Dom and Alicia because they deserved to bask in their happiness after everything. Once they finally got together, it felt far too short. Mia has a way of writing where time completely flies while reading, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.

~ARC REVIEW~

I’m 100% going to start with saying how utterly amazing Mia is, not only as a person but also as an author. Each time I have arc read for her she has made the whole experience 1000x better by being so open and happy to talk about the book, and hear my endless rambling about amazing characters. Because once again she’s made me fall in love with a die character and I really want his book 😉 so mia I’m keeping my eye out for Leo 😍

This book flows so beautifully, not just with the story but from continuing on from the other books and I so enjoyed seeing some of my favourite characters again! Also I so LOVED the enemies to lovers trope in this book it was honestly hot as hell!! I loved the sassing back, the quick fire wit and the lust disguised as hate because we all know the both had the hits for eachother from day 1!!
I also love an arranged marriage book so of course this one as for me!! When Alicia took her sisters place to ensure her sisters happiness I don’t think this girl realised the rollercoaster she was signing her self up to!
But it always breaks my heart when the mmc feels he has to push the love interest away to protect her because my heart was breaking for them both 😢

This is an amazing mafia read, with perfect balance between story and spice! You really get a feel for everything that is happening through out and Mia has once again SMASHED this book! But also I love an mmc who can show his emotion because this man had me shedding tears along side him!!

Mia thank you, thank you soo much for having this amazing opportunity to arc read for you again! I am beyond excited for what’s to come! 💕

I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review

All that I can say is wow, this is the last book of this series and I loved it. The way the two main characters hate turns into love and the way it’s written is perfect for them. Alicia is so fiery and sassy, whereas Dom is very controlled and passive. They complement each other perfectly. The spice was perfect, a little slow burn to start but it works for them and fit the flow.

I also loved the little snippets of side characters in the book that will hopefully lead to their own stories as well as the previous main characters and their partners. Kalebs overprotective psycho tendencies were hilarious and perfect and Jaylens calm steady presence showed how different personalities can all come together to make a family.

I loved how Mia did not shy away from toxic behaviours and showed emotional honesty. The way she exposes how deeply ingrained patterns, unresolved pain, and fear of loneliness can trap people in harmful cycles. The characters feel flawed and human, making their choices frustrating at times but ultimately believable.

Would 100% recommend this whole series

Destructive Love by Mia Sian, 3rd and final book of The King Series. This is an Enemies to Lovers Dark Mafia Romance following Dominic King and Alicia Garcia. 🚩This is for readers 18 years and/or older as it has mature content and not suitable for underage readers. There are dark themes that can be triggering so please check out the content warning before you dive in 🚩

My thoughts 💭
Gahhh. I loooooved this book. Dominic, at times was so infuriating! He deserved all the horrible things she told him hahaha. With that being said, she was also infuriating at times too. Alas I digress, I am new to Mia Sian so I unfortunately did not have the pleasure of reading the first 2 books in the series but bet your booty I have already added them to my ever growing tbr. I most definitely look forward to her future work! This book has banter for days, OTT obsession, mafia vibes, betrayal, secrets, spice, beautiful romance and let’s not forget the bff fur baby. If this is your jam, I 100% recommend you checking out this book!!

✨I would like to thank author Mia Sian for the opportunity to read and review Destructive Love.

WHEN I TELL YOU THIS BOOK WAS PERFECTION! I mean it was PERFECTION!. Dom and Alicia will stay in my mind for the rest of my life, Infact all of these characters will.
Spoilers from here!

The way these two despise eachother at the start of the book, and Alicia even says she’d shoot dom 😂, the hate to love is 10/10. This book is 10 stars, not 4, not 5, 10, 10 whole stars.

Although I won’t forgive dom for calling jellybean a rat, did he warm up to her and call her jelly, yes he did, did that redeem himself? Kinda, but not fully. Especially since he kept handcuffing Alicia to the bed

And then you had cuntface aka lenny, glad he’s gone. He was a right terror, but it wouldn’t be a king book without someone trying to kill somebody.

I have a soft spot for Leo, and I need his book rn! Right now, no waiting, I don’t wanna wait, I need scarface back on my kindle right now!, the way he makes a bond with both Alicia and Rory, AHH MY HEART. I may or may not have cried at the epilogue when Leo left.

This book was a perfect ending to the serious, and I can’t wait to see what Mia comes up with next, cause I will be SPRINTING to that book.

10/10 as usual 💗

A brilliant book from start to finish. Dom and Lissa are complicated and messy but very much perfect for each other. Both of them have character development and growth. Dom’s a little unhinged but that’s what I love about him. Lissa is feisty and sweet and definitely gives as good as she gets! I’m sad to see the end of this series but I can’t wait to read more from Mia in the future 🩷

Sinfully seductive mafia romance left me speechless and envious of the FMC. Craving such passion and desire I couldn’t put the book down. I kept telling myself just one more chapter but that turned into me finishing the book in one sitting! I fell in love with all the characters. This book was a sinful addiction that kept me itching for more!
