Out of the frying pan into all-out war. If I want the throne, I’ll have to fight for it.
It took everything I had, and all my guys working for me and helping out, to defeat the false princess Saldrea and her henchwomen. But I barely have time to recover before her mother, Valnea, declares war on me.
Luckily the queen regent isn’t in a hurry to start that fight, but only because she plans to gather the entire might of the elven empire to ensure she crushes me and my little rebellion completely.
I need help now, but where can I turn?
My dashing angel Vyns, with whom I’m bound in spirit, says he’ll rouse the seraphim to aid me. Rook, the sinful incubus, who had been distant, is once again at my side. He can return to Urval, the fae realm’s version of hell, to see if the people there can help. Though first, I need an apology and an explanation for why he's been a dick lately.
Koar the stalwart dragon, is always at my side, a permanent protector and so very easy on the eyes. He’s suddenly interested in a relationship, and I can’t say I mind. I can use all the sexy distractions I can get.
And speaking of sexy distractions, Myel, my perfect Goth shifter-vampire, is everything I need, but he doesn’t seem to think so. And when he’s sent on a dangerous mission, our bond is once again pulled tight, which always makes me feel awful.
Then, along comes Bayn, the titan who helped me and my friends defeat Saldrea’s minions. And though we barely know each other, he’s demanding we get married. If we do, he’ll bring the might of the titans to fight on my side. Like I don’t already have enough to deal with.
And time is running out. If we don’t find allies soon, all of us will be crushed by the ruthless elves. All those I’d hoped to protect… will die.
4.25 stars This was a great book! Loved it! Loved all the character growth and the way her harems seemed to work together to bring about the war and themselves but there was something missing that the other book had. Maybe it's the fact that she didn't have to learn anything in this one. She would just test her magic and see if it would work. Maybe it's that everything seemed to work too well in this book. There didn't seem to be many setbacks.
This book was fire! It was so intense. Action and danger. From the first chapter, I knew I was going to devour this one. The world building was absolutely amazing. I’m the description was so well done. I felt like I was in the midst of everything. The chaos and betrayal and everything that took place. Just a great book. This was intense and the twists and turns had me turning the pages like no other. Thrilling story.
