There are many reasons a child would enjoy a Most Popular Birds in the USA themed book. Firstly, birds have colorful feathers that offer a wide range of beauty and intrigue. Second is the fascinating stories about the locations where the flying wonders can be found. Of course, brief descriptions of their habits, including migration patterns, nesting, and food sources, can inspire the desire to learn more about a particular species. All of these reasons together can produce a book that kids will turn to time and time again until the facts can be recited by memory in casual conversation.
I enjoyed this book. I have learned a few things about Robins, and Owls and many other birds in this book. I do my part and help feed the birds on my land as well. But owls have always intrigued me. *I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Most of the book is wrong. Picture of a Falcon with Eagle information. Robin information with no picture or it has the wrong bird. Ostrich information with a picture of a Flamingos. Yes the pictures are beautiful but with out the correct name and information its useless.
The other reviews are correct, the pictures (very nice pictures at that), do not match the text. Some simple corrections would bring this book up to a 4 or 5 star rating.
