Honestly if the book wasn’t short I would’ve dnf’d it. The plot was good definitely recommend and cliffhanger did its job. But the punctuation and the different size fonts was driving crazy. But the book was good a little corny but im definitely reading the next one. I just hope that she edits the next one a little better.

This was a great fast pay story it’s gonna send you through some ups and downs. Almost give you like a movie vibe. Bonnie has a great pen and she’s gonna have you on the edge of your seat with this story. Totally recommend everyone go check it out.

the FMC was so annoying. ok she was sheltered and didn't grow up in that life but she lacked common sense and comprehension skills. Like she was just dumb. Couldn't put 2 and 2 together at all

I wish there was a note that this is the start of a series
The plot was good for a short book, but it really needed a better editor. There were several grammatical errors and names misspelled, then a part that says “she she she” and you have to guess the missing words like a madlib.
I wasn’t expecting a cliffhanger, but it was done well enough. I don’t get how Deuce is supposed to be taking over a kingdom but he does everything alone. No real backup or anything. He was able to hold his own, for the most part, it just wasn’t giving heir to the throne boss.
I appreciated that Lani tried to stand up for herself and not accept just any kind of treatment. She just should have caught on to Dom a bit earlier, and Reign seemed out for self. I think the guy at the warehouse is Drez, the other “right hand”. Why the Dad was calling everyone his “right hand” was another mess. Overall, I’m interested to see where the story is going. I hope the author takes time to edit it and give the men names with a bit more variety. All the D names get confusing (Deuce, Dank, Drez, Dom).

One and Done
This book showed up in my recommendations based on a Shari B. book I'd read so I decided to give this author a chance. While I didn't hate the storyline, the cadence was off to me. This arranged marriage/enemies to lovers trope went from "I don't want to" to "I'm so in love" in such a weird way and short timeframe that it didn't feel true or authentic. The characters were just OK, no real breakout stars or main character energy. Then this element of "who done it" had the opposite effect of what I think the author was intending because it actually just revealed how unconnected and unpowerful that all the key players were. Not to mention, to have been a trained killer since a child, Duece never seemed to land a shot that hit anyone, and another gunman was able to get too close to him too many times for my liking. This book also ends in a cliffhanger which seems to be a trend with the author as a way to drag her storylines- I unfortunately found that out after I was done with this book and reviewed the authors book catalog. While I am mildly nosey, these characters didn't intrigue me enough to stay on this roller-coaster so this book will likely be a one-and-done for me and the author.

Marcellus Jr aka Deuce energy was that of fear. Ya boy was frustrated on the arrangement his father Marcellus Sr had him in. He did have any issue with what he father wanted him to do expect this arrangement. Now after the tragedy, he was like yeah no I’m not doing it🤭 or so he thought 🫣! The way his father is had me wanting to jump in on Deuce defensive cause your priority was not where he needed to be😒! Let me say I’m team Deuce with no question asked. This man can protect me at anytime🤭! See regardless of what he was feeling he had to honor the arrangement. I get his hesitation as I wouldn’t want to be with anyone I don’t know better yet ever met. Oh but what ya boy wasn’t expecting was Malani🤭. She left him speechless. They were water & oil and didn’t mix well🤣! They were at each other like an old married couple🤣. Loving the life he lived, he didn’t trust easy, but regardless of that he demanded respect! So having to check the premade team was nothing to him and the way he did it had me crying laughing🤣! With knowing who he had to watch - Dom, he basically mad a promise to self to watch him. The way he stepped up to plate when learning the empire that would be his, he let it be known that he was not the one to play with and within hours of being he switched it up leaving eyebrows raised😒. With not wanting to fall for Malani, he fell for hard and after she did what she, he was determined to protect her at all cost! Oh but did he get a surprise of his life🫣!
Malani, is that typical spoiled brat, who wanted for nothing type girl. I get it, I would be the same way if I was in her shoes🤭. Not feeling the life that was planned for her has my girl gullible and moving reckless with the wrong person as well as like she loved him. Ya girl was d***matized in the worst way🤣. First off once I figured who her sneaky link was, I knew off top she was moving wrong. She was playing with fire! Oh but when she met Deuce, she wasn’t expect him to be that 🥷🏽, she assumed he was green. Let’s just say she was sadly mistaken. She realized that not only did he not fall to her feet catered to her, he would match her energy🤭. After deciding to move forward with the arrangement, she started to realize her sneaky link Dom wasn’t she thought🫣 and actually was using her to his benefits. She was acting slow lol. Now her best friend Reign, I don’t like her😔. Not saying what happened to her was right, but at the same time if you’re man hopping and giving goods out like the free clinic gives condoms, what did you expect 😒! From jump she should’ve just told Malani what happened. But the way she got Malani attention was so disrespectful and hope she gets her karma. Not thinking she wouldn’t fall for Deuce was all wrong cause ya girl is not only d***matized, she done fell in love and hard 🥰.
There are so many pieces to this read that’s left me stuck like who is it that’s after Deuce🫣, can these two make with the sarcastic mouth they both have?, can he accept what he’s heart is telling him?🤭. One thing for sure, it’s someone close and knows his moves. Can’t place my finger on it right now, but honestly think it’s Malani father or his Uncle, Dank father🫣. Unsure on why that is except trying to get pay back for his son. You know that son for a son type thing. Then I need to know more about Reign as there’s more to her as well. Her moves left me speechless. Like girl is you cool? Cause him don’t know you nor does he remember you🤭?
Once again, Bonnie coming with mess and drama. Though it didn’t start with mess, it sure did end with it and left me completely speechless with my jaw on the ground! Like I know she didn’t do me/us life this🤭🤣! IYKYK part 2 will be messy and I’m here and ready for it.

i wanna say this was a good read. because ultimately it was. but i don’t like cliffhangers. i had seen others say it was a crazy cliffhanger, but proceeded to read the book.
there was also TONS of typos/grammatical errors. lol like huh? there’s whole words missing from the sentence. how the editors miss that? and words/names that should’ve been plural but wasn’t. weird.
while i enjoyed the storyline, i just feel like the book fell kinda flat. idk. it didn’t pull me in the way i thought it would based off the way others were reacting to it. idk. ill just wait for the next book to really determine how i feel about this.

It’s too early for this!
Bonnie, I stayed up late in the midnight hours to finish this book! It’s 12:04 am est and the lights flick off! Really?!?! Now, from outside the nightclub, I thought it was Dom. Of course then, I only thought of someone from the bride’s side cause we knew no names. Once she revealed she’d been dating Dom, I said Bingo! Especially with him trying to get her to give him that key. She had me scared for a moment too, thinking on it. I knew Reign would be a problem once she knew who Deuce was and mad that he didn't recognize her. Is she now messing with Dom? I can see her being weak and under his spell because she’s hurt behind Deuce. But, erybody mouth open in this warehouse when this figure comes into view and now my mouth is open because I know Pop Deveraux ain’t playing his life like this. It’s too dramatic. It’s got to be from the Deveraux side…ooooh Milani’s mom. No. Omg I need book two. Cause this is eating me up! And who turned out the lights?

I picked this book to read on a whim. I almost did not finish reading the book because there are so many grammatical errors and misspelled words that it was offputting however, I am really glad that I stuck it out. Underneath all of the grammatical errors and misspelled words was an amazing story and I am gasping at the cliffhanger! I am so glad that I discovered this book after part two had been released because if not, I do not know what I would do with myself. I am actually kind of surprised that there isn’t more to this book because it actually is faster paced than I am used to. There are parts that kind of feel rushed and unrealistic. Actually, I take that back. Unfortunately the only saving grace for this book was the ending’s cliff hanger. Other than that:
- the grammatical errors in this book was astronomical, it read like there was no editor to go over it which leads to my second point.
- the author kept using different tenses throughout the book. It was ridiculous
- I felt like I was reading someone’s steady flow of consciousness, the story felt rushed.
- there was no uniqueness to any of the characters, everyone spoke and acted exactly the same
- also why was everyone shouting in this book???? Every other sentence had an exclamation mark
This is the last time I’m going to take any recommendations from IG based off of a catchy song and the influencer hyping the books up with no other details. I’m tempted to read part 2 JUST to see the identity reveal but idk if that’s even worth it.
Unfortunately it was remedial writing at best, I felt like I was reading an underdeveloped Wattpad story
- the grammatical errors in this book was astronomical, it read like there was no editor to go over it which leads to my second point.
- the author kept using different tenses throughout the book. It was ridiculous

Missionary With A Menace: An Unhinged Arranged Marriage
Are you for real right now! These cliffhangers are gone to kill me. Just when the book gets to the climax, then boom everything goes limp.... I'm just saying.
I love a good arranged marriage. The two people know nothing about each other, but soon as they do it is up from there. They ride for each other and fall in love fast.
Deuce did everything in his power to remain unattached. But there was something about Malani he couldn't shake. Then when she caught a body for him, he knew she was it.
Now they are caught in the crosshairs between Dom, Reign, and an unknown player who wants Deuce dead. I can't wait to find out who it could possibly be.
