“If I’m ever murdered, know that it’s my final wish for you guys to solve the crime, deal?”Sasha Goodwin has it a handsome boyfriend, her dream job as a travel journalist, and a vibrant life in New York City. Until she doesn’t. Overnight, everything changes when her lifelong best friend, Elly Gonzalez, is found murdered in her home and the killer vanishes without a trace.
Putting her life on hold, Sasha returns to Cherry Springs for the first time in fifteen years, only to find the small town transformed. Its sudden prosperity is thanks to Phantom Tech, a billion-dollar company headquartered nearby and led by none other than Sasha’s high school ex-boyfriend, Oliver Andrews.
As she reconnects with old friends, including the town’s police chief, John Elliott, Sasha can’t help but be drawn into the investigation. Fueled by her obsession with true-crime shows, she becomes determined to help John uncover the truth behind Elly’s murder, no matter where it leads.
Oh my gosh!!!! This book is so good. Keeps you guessing throughout the whole book and never a dull moment. I am a slow reader and I read this book extremely fast for me. I literally couldn’t put it down. I recommend this book 112% and you should get it for all your friends too! Soooooooo good!!!💜💜💜💜
Such a wonderfully dark (while still being somehow cosy?) and twisty debut novel. The town of Cherry Springs and its iconic locations like the Swan Diner and Nook and Cranny make me wish I could visit it in the snowy winter. A must-read for cosy-mystery lovers with a thirst for some thrill!
This book was really good, engaging, and a smooth read! It definitely threw me for a loop and I was left feeling surprised - which I love! This author definitely knows how to tell a good story!
