One subway ride. That’s all it took to derail my life.
I was supposed to be heading to my dream job interview. Instead, I stepped off the train and into another version of New York — one where my apartment doesn’t exist, my phone’s a useless brick, and men in suits with blank eyes want to drag me into the shadows.
Now I’m hiding out in a detective’s apartment, eating takeout, and pretending not to notice how his voice sounds when he says my name. Reyes thinks he can keep me safe, but every time he looks at me, I see the ghost of someone he’s already lost.
They say love can cross timelines. I just hope I can survive long enough to prove it.
💠 Reyes 💠
I used to chase ghosts — people who appeared out of nowhere and vanished without a trace. My captain called it obsession. I called it truth.
Then she showed up. Cassidy Ward. Wrong place, wrong timeline. Same face as the woman I lost.
Now she’s in my apartment, wearing my shirt, upending my world one heartbeat at a time. The more I dig into OrisCorp, the company I’m sure is behind the disappearances, the clearer it gets. She’s the key to everything.
But if I get too close, I could lose her the same way I lost Mara.
And this time, I don’t think I’ll survive it.

Reality isn’t broken. It’s being redesigned.
Cass was on her way to a dream job when her world vanished.
Detective Reyes is chasing anomalies through New York’s subway system—disappearances no one can explain and stories no one believes. But when Cass, a perfect replica of his lost love, suddenly appears, everything changes. She’s not just a missing person—she’s from a parallel timeline.
Now, she's hiding in Reyes’s apartment, and her impossible presence forces him to confront long buried grief. She wants to get home. He wants to keep her safe. But OrisCorp, a shadowy tech empire with the power to rewrite reality, is pulling DNA identicals, Cass included, across multiverses for a purpose neither Cass nor Reyes can fully grasp.
As timelines blur and their connection deepens, Cass and Reyes join forces with a brilliant but reckless hacker to stop OrisCorp from controlling every version of reality. If they fail, Cass could disappear from Reyes's world, and his life, forever.

A great mix of sci-fi romance and mystery. I can't wait to find out how Cass ended up in a new New York and more importantly why. Great cozy read that will hook you in minutes and keep you till the very last page.
I love the unfolding of Cass and Reyes. By the end of the book I was scrambling to hear more. I cant wait for the next installment. The story is original and unique-- an exciting adventure. It's a breath of fresh air. An easy read and a perfect escape.
Loved this! Shadow Transit hooked me right away and the pacing was perfect. I want more of Cass and Reyes! This book did such an amazing job of setting up the world for the rest of the series. The ending? Has me counting the days until Book Two. If you want a fun, addictive read, grab this one!
This book is so good! I love the scenes between Cass and Reyes. They are funny together but also have a lot of heartwarming scenes where they slowly grow to care about one another. I loved the parts where they practiced self-defense moves (so much sexual tension and flirting!) and all the spy-stuff. This is one of the most exciting romance books I've read in a very long time. There's also lots of plot twists. I can't wait for the next book!
I couldn't put this fast-paced book down. It hit all my buttons: Thriller, sci-fi and just enough romance. I can't wait for book 2 for the continuing story of Cass and Reyes.
