She married him to save her reputation. He married her to claim what he'd wanted all along.
When Elizabeth Bennet is compromised by the infuriatingly arrogant Fitzwilliam Darcy, marriage is her only option. But she refuses to be grateful for a union she's convinced he contrived—no matter how his touch sets her ablaze or how his eyes promise devotion his lips won't confess.
Darcy knows his duty, and it does not include falling harder for the sharp-tongued woman who now shares his bed and mistrusts his every motive. As external enemies threaten to expose the true nature of their hasty marriage, he must prove his feelings extend beyond the bedchamber. She must decide whether to trust the man who worships her body but struggles to yield his guarded heart.
Their vows demanded marriage. But love? That will require a far more dangerous surrender.
MR. DARCY'S RELUCTANT VOWS is a sensual novel of 64,000 words with tasteful but detailed open-door scenes.
I liked this variation and had more hope for it initially. The further along I went the more I questioned whether this was written at separate times and pieced together. Or maybe the author didn’t finish portions but still published? There is a time in the book when Jane is still MISS bennet. Then she is suddenly Mrs. Bingley and Darcy and Bingley are happy about their marriages. Then suddenly Georgiana is asking to play a duet with MISS bennet again. It was very confusing. A few times tense situations occur and the next part we are somewhere else in the story. And I wasn’t sure if days had passed, weeks, hours. One minute ODC is figuring out a situation with Wickham. And the next Georgiana is suddenly sick, but there was no lead up to it. Suddenly Darcy is by her bedside and she nearly died. There were holes. But other then the few times the story was disjointed or jumped around, it was enjoyable. I like a good spicy Darcy/Lizzy combo. Felt like they took a little too long getting to the point of actually telling the other they loved each other, but it was still good, enjoyable. I also felt like the few “tense” parts were conveniently fixed or due to weird jumps in time/story, didn’t have as much of an impact.
This was so perfect. It hit every mark of a great P&P variation. Realistic love, character development, light conflict, believable characters, and very few of any editing or grammatical mistakes. The sensual parts were also so loving and sweet that there wasn't a drop of raunch.
Warning: Meant for mature audiences. Contains scenes that would scandalize the ton. Readers of a delicate constitution are advised to keep their fans and vinaigrettes close at hand. Contains tasteful but detailed open-door scenes.
It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. You will see the most beloved characters in a whole new way. This is a Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice variation. She married him to save her reputation, and he married her to claim what he'd wanted all along.

So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. It’s a must read. I highly recommend to everyone.
I expected so much more. This is the most cold Darcy and Elizabeth that I have encountered. They felt robotic. I didn't understand how they were so formal with each other outside of the bedroom, when they shared intimacy so early in the bedroom.
Also there were too many grammatical errors and timing mistakes for me not to mention it. I'm not a stickler for minor editing errors, but there were just too many. Darcy dressed for dinner, then Elizabeth walks in dressed for the morning. Or he was in his robe and shirt in the music room, then greeting Caroline in the entrance upon her arrival.
The story line was good despite me finding it stretched with all of Wickham, Caroline and Lady Catherine many many attempts to cause problems. I think i prefer 1 well thought out obstacle instead of a new problem every chapter.
I like this Darcy and Elizabeth. I liked how they joined together head on with what advertisement came their way. What I didn't care for was how I was expecting something that didn't happen, like Lady D's visits. But, this is a story I will most likely read again.
