A deadly family secret. A storm that won’t quit. And a grandmother whose love turns lethal.
Michael thought a weekend at his family’s lake house would be the perfect getaway—peace, quiet, and a chance for his new girlfriend, Lila, to meet the family. But when Granny opens the door, that sweet smile hides something far more sinister.
Lila’s sharp attitude and slick mouth don’t sit right with Granny, especially when she jokes about nursing homes. By the time the storm rolls in, the tension inside that house reaches a breaking point. Then Lila disappears—and all eyes turn to Granny.
Now, Michael’s trapped between the woman who raised him and the one he swore to protect. But Granny’s not the fragile old lady everyone thinks she is. Her love runs deep… and deadly. And she’s not about to lose another piece of her family—no matter who has to die for it.
I’m sure Lila didn’t expect her getaway to unfold like this when she agreed to visit her boyfriend’s grandma at The Lake House! Crazy storms, secluded location, and a psycho granny on the loose — what can go wrong? 👀
This Granny was something else for real. I am intrigued to see what will happen next with this wild tale. Hopefully her grandson will snap out of his stupor!
This story proved that people often underestimate the elderly. Assumptions about what a person should be rather than accepting them for who they are could be deadly. Granny was unapologetically controlling. Her love for family caused her to do what she deemed necessary to accomplish her agenda.
Killer Granny was a short, enjoyable read that packed in just the right amount of suspense. This granny loved and protected her family at all costs—and she proved she was willing to do whatever it took to keep them safe. Fierce, loyal, and unapologetic, she definitely wasn’t your typical grandmother! I flew through this one and can’t wait to see what happens next in Book 2.
The book was enjoyable and easy to follow, but it certainly ended on a cliffhanger. We are eager for more. If there is one lesson to take from this book, it is, in the author's words, "People show their true colors when you aren’t looking. Sometimes, their actions speak louder than words ever will."
Granny was a damn piece of work the way she told Lyla and her grandson who were full grown adults ain't not a bit of hunching going on in my house lol I finished this in one sitting very good. Hopefully we get some answers in a follow up story
