Good to the Last Death #15

Got To Get You Into My Midlife

The great news is that I found my sanity. It was laying next to my midlife crisis. The bad news… To be old and wise, one must first be young and stupid. I’m batting five hundred in stupid department at the moment.

A wedding, a death and a kidnapping. That’s what I’m dealing with.

The future of the Immortal world is in peril and we’re going to fix it come hell or high water. Not a of a choice since it involves our daughter.

With a foul mouthed, toothpick chewing nutbag as my co-pilot, and the love of my life riding shot gun, we mean business and we’re not taking no for an answer.

This time I’m passing on the extra slice of crazy to go with my midlife crisis. I’m in for the whole dang pie.

This series is getting painfully repetitive

I've been here for every book, but I think I'm done. This and the 2 previous were very little plot advancement and very much repetition.

The peanut butter cookies. AD NAUSEUM. We get it, that's June's entire personality in a nutshell.
The toothpicks and the cursing, and GMA trying to make Candy Vargo less CV.
The new characters don't escape this lack of character building either.
Shitty Ritchie's obsession with his donger size...

We GET IT ALREADY. Give us a plot. We're getting less than a third of the book on any plot advancement at all. You could have really fleshed out the old Higher Powers over the last 2 books and started building them up for the denouement we get here in Book 15, but nope, boring boring boring repetitive crap .

I always hated soap operas for this and this series feels exactly like one now. I'm out.

Jumped the shark

I have been following this series for quite a long time now, Anxiously awaiting each new installment. For the most part, I have enjoyed the storylines and getting to know and care about many of the characters. I know there were places in some of the past books that started to veer off into some odd places, but I overlooked them and waited for the author to pull it back in. With
this book though, the characters and the story itself are totally lost in nonsense that isn't even fun anymore. She has gone so far into shock for the sake of shock, that we lose any reason for the story itself. The author has completely jumped the shark. I don't know if I will read the next one or not. I'm leaning towards not.

This book is definitely interesting. I've complained before in reviews that I don't like that the main characters never get more than a few hours of peace (always moving from one crisis to the next) and I still feel that way even though I get that that's supposed to be part of the story. The book does start out with everyone happy and having fun, so that's nice. Naturally, the rest of the book is all life or death scenarios that have to be dealt with. Despite my complaint, I still give this book four stars. It was good. I especially liked the way that some things were wrapped up in the end. I liked Shitty Richie better in this book, too. I didn't despise him before or anything, but I love much progress he has made when it comes to learning to be a good friend. I listened to this book on audible. It was enjoyable that way, and is also my excuse if I spelled Shitty Richie's name wrong, lol.

whew

I am truly in awe of Robyn Peterman’s brain!!!! How she does the twists and turns and makes sense out of it all is amazing and mind boggling. She jumps from one world to another without a blink. From one immortal being being nasty, to its replacement who is good. I love reading it all, but can’t believe it all comes out of someone’s mind in a way that all circles around to a decent conclusion. I giggled. A lot. I just love these characters and all the life catastrophes they solve. And I have to say the ending surprised me

S*itty Ritchie is THE MAN!

This entry into the wonderful world of Robyn Peterman's hilarious, sexy, bat crap cray cray, and sometimes horrifying world of Immortals hits every note, occasionally out of the park!

I laughed. I was pissed. I laughed. I cried. I cringed. I cried. I laughed. I snorted. I was concerned.

I read this in one sitting. Who needs sleep when you've got the newest adventure of Daisy, Gideon, Candy Vargo and the rest of the gang to enjoy? Oh, and S*itty Ritchie IS the MAN.

RIP, Dave.

Daisy and Gideon and their crew are fighting the trinity of the Higher Powers again but this time the new Higher Powers have already been chosen. It is time for the new Higher Powers to take over but they will have to fight for it and fight they do. This story is hilarious in some aspects but there is also danger, non stop action and lots of love to go around, even for the little supernatural Ritchie.

Daisy, Gideon and the gang are off to save the future Higher Powers

What started out as a sweet wedding for Grams and Mr. Johnson ends with the taking of Alana Catherine, Jennifer and Shitty Ritchie by a Tom Banks look alike. Lots of action, gross factoids and toilet humour. Daisy gets her powers tested and is rewarded with a new gift. Our new Higher Powers trio will be plunged into action once again but they have lots of aid and new ghost side kicks to help.

Excellent

This series is wildly entertaining. Some of the characters are mind boggling, i.e. "Shitty Ritchies". I was laughing hysterically while reading this book. This story had two great examples, forgiveness and compassion, for those who do you wrong. Loved Happy Days. Enjoyed reading this book. Another fun read by Ms Peterman!

Powers…

Got to Get You into My Midlife was a BLAST! As usual, Peterman had Mr laughing out loud with the antics of Gideon, Daisy and crew. Things are heating up as the new Heavenly Power is trying to take their rightful place. Hang on for another emotional and hysterical ride! Can’t wait for Book 16!

deliciously deranged but in a good way

The latest installment of this roller coaster series is like a fever dream. Extremely well written, and the cast of characters is completely unhinged. I loved every minute of it.

2.5 stars. This series is silly, original and a quick read, but this book seemed geared towards a 12 year old boy. SO much Poop, farting, “dongs” and “weenies”, and about 1000 F-bombs. Not sure I even want to finish the series.

The best one yet!

The stakes have never been higher as Daisy, Gideon, and their friends take on the Higher Power. Again, yes, but there are details we didn’t know before.

There’s the expected hilarity and unhinged-ness and lots of action. And a hint for future books!

I just love this entire series and glad keep same narrator throughout, she just makes you feel the characters and I'm not usually into single narrations for male/female
I do want to see Daisy hey her rested HEA! Someday!

I totally thought this was the last book in the series. It isn't! Yes, 15 books is insane. But truly, they're all so short it only takes a couple hours to get through them. They're fun, the narration is perfection, and they overlap with other series. Ready for the next one!

Funny, witty and just wild fun to read. The author has such humor in her stories that it's difficult to stop or pause reading.

Peterman needs to wrap this series up. It's repetitive and she's dragging it out.

What a ride (again)!

What a good read this was (as always)! I laughed my silly head off more times than I can count, especially with Sh…. Ritchie's darn d…! But the whole drama of it was, indeed, compassion inducing!

Another slam dunk by Robyn Peterman, and with that hook, I’m just so excited for the next book!
