The sun has fallen. Night cloaks the land, and demons crawl from the darkest pits of the underworld.
But this time, I’m not alone.

Hadeon is strong. Fearless. Together, we can survive, we can fight.

His shirt is soaked in blood and dirt, his body battered. With one final burst of power, I strike down the beast. It’s over. We’ve won.

I turn to Hadeon, but something’s wrong. His eyes, piercing, cold.
I am scared, but I can’t look away.

“Don’t look at me! Go away! Leave!” he roars.

And in that instant, I understand.
Everything about him was a lie. I fell for someone who never existed.
And now… I am the prey.

There is darkness in this world.
Creatures of the underworld roam freely, hungering for blood,
and, most terrifying of all, for souls.

To survive here, my magic must be stronger.
And I must become cold-hearted. Ruthless.

Witchbond is a darkly enchanting read that balances romance, magic, and suspense in a way that kept me hooked from start to finish. Lina Ravenhill has crafted a world where danger and desire are always intertwined, and the tension is deliciously addictive.

The characters are compelling and flawed in all the right ways, with personal struggles and hidden depths that make their growth feel earned. The romance is slow-burning, full of sparks and emotional stakes, and the magical elements add a rich, layered texture to the story. I particularly loved how the magical bonds weren’t just decorative — they carried real consequences and kept the stakes high.

The pacing is strong, blending action, intrigue, and emotional beats effectively. There were moments where I wished for a bit more world-building or exploration of the magic system, but overall, the story feels immersive and engaging. The blend of dark fantasy and romance works beautifully, creating a compelling tension that pulls you through the pages.

Overall, Witchbond is a thrilling, atmospheric read that will appeal to fans of dark romance and magical intrigue.

Witchbond is dark, tense, and utterly compelling. Lina Ravenhill pulls you into a world where magic and danger are inseparable, and the stakes feel real from the very first page. The story focuses on Anna and Hadeon, with glimpses of Alina’s past that enrich the Dragonborn Queen series and leave you wanting more.

The characters are flawed in all the right ways. Anna is resilient and smart, Hadeon is magnetic and unpredictable, and their slow-burn romance is full of sparks and emotional weight. The magical bonds aren’t just window dressing—they carry real consequences that keep you on edge.

The world is immersive, full of demons, darkness, and relentless tension, and the twists and betrayals hit hard. Action, intrigue, and emotion are balanced perfectly, pulling you through every page. Witchbond is a fast-paced, atmospheric dark fantasy that left me desperate for the next installment.

Welcome to Gora. This is the first book of Anna's life. From her abusive aunt and uncle to meeting Yaga, to being abducted and brought to Gora.

I loved the twists, blossoming of a romance, betrayal and of course a heartbreaking cliffhanger.

I loved Anna . Her determination to help others even though it may end in her death or injury. Loved her intuitive questions and grit.

Hadeon was also a force to recon . He wants to protect his people and will do most anything to make that happen. I also loved his sister Alina. She is invested in keeping her people safe.

I loved the well organized , with surprises splashed in , storyline. Excellent worldbuilding. You can feel the frustration and sorrow of the characters, along with the joy .

I will be looking for the next book to see what happens to Anna.

This is such a fun and immersive read. It pulls you in right away with its magical vibe and keeps you hooked with a great mix of mystery, emotion, and witchy lore. The story feels really well thought out, and the world is easy to get lost in without being confusing or overwhelming.

The main character is super relatable, with real flaws and growth that make you want to keep turning pages. The relationships feel natural and add a lot of heart to the story. There’s also a great balance between action and quieter moments, so it never feels rushed or slow.

What I loved most was the atmosphere! it’s moody, magical, and just the right amount of dark. The writing flows smoothly and makes everything easy to picture. If you enjoy stories about witches, magic, and personal journeys, thisis definitely worth picking up.

Witchbond is the prequel to the Dragonborn Queen series. Alina appears in the prequel, but the story mainly focuses on Anna and Hadeon, Alina's brother. I read the book quickly because it drew me in and kept me engaged throughout. I enjoyed learning about some of Alina's backstory, even though the book wasn't primarily about her. It's fast-paced with a lot going on, but there was also romance between Anna and Hadeon. I believe the prequel has really added context to the entire series, but also created more questions, and I give it 5 stars!

While this book is the 1st in it's series, I found the story to be more of a slow burn. There are a few very interesting character developments like Alina & Hadeon. Who are they really? Anna is stubborn and quick with the quips but seemed easy to manipulate. I feel like Anna has an even bigger bombshell of a backstory and of course will not be revealed so soon. At times you can't tell friend from enemy. Good paced reading but, until the final chapter, just felt mediocre.

This book hooked me immediately. The world is terrifying, demons, darkness, and constant danger, but the emotional twist hit just as hard. I loved the early bond between the characters, which made Hadeon’s sudden shift absolutely chilling. The betrayal, the fear, and the fight to survive kept the tension high the whole way through. A gripping, fast-paced dark fantasy that leaves you hungry for the next page.

I loved this book, I don't usually get so invested with characters (only happened with one other book) but Anna and Hadeon had me hooked. This is a dark, tense story with dangerous desire between Anna & Hadeon (you'll know what I mean after a few chapters) and makes for a fantastic read. The twist is unexpected but really adds to the story.

I loved how Lina draws you into her stories. I have loved every book, and this one was no exception. Anna and Hadeon are wonderful characters, with plenty of tension between the two. I also loved the view into Alina's (the MFC in the Dragonbond Series) past. This was a wonderful story that I loved every minute of, and I can't wait for the next book.

This story follows Anna, a forest witch and the siblings Hadeon and Alina. Alina is the FMC in the Dragonborn queen series and she appears as well and through Anna’s eyes we get glimpses of Alina’s life before she meets Tynan in “Firebond”.

SO, this book has a witch, a vampire and a human shapeshifter dragon. This is a story with magic, demons and different realms. There is a subtle slow burn romance and some lovely female friendships.

I really enjoy the way Lina writes, it’s easy and engaging from the start. She is also really good at writing cliffhangers and this story definitely keeps you on your toes and leaves you craving the next story right away.
