Wild Blood: The Hybrid Series, Book 3

Rate this book
Some bonds are written in blood.

Cassía has spent months hunting the one being who could change everything: a werewolf hybrid said to be the key to ending a brutal war. Finding him is supposed to save lives. It is not supposed to ruin hers.

Ronan never asked for the darkness growing inside him. As strange powers awaken and a savage new hunger claws its way to the surface, he is caught between loyalty, instinct, and a fate he doesn’t understand. Then he meets Cassía, the sharp-tongued vampire hybrid sent to find him, and their connection is immediate, electric, and impossible to ignore.

But prophecy comes with a price.

With a sadistic enemy weaving spells from the shadows, old bloodlines closing in, and a deadly infection threatening to turn love into catastrophe, Cassía and Ronan are forced into a fight bigger than either of them imagined. Trust is fragile. Desire is dangerous. And if they cannot outrun the forces hunting them, their bond may be the very thing that destroys them both.

In a world of wolves, vampires, magic, and war, fate has chosen its pair. Now they must decide whether love is worth the blood it will cost.

One final hunt. One forbidden love. One last hope for survival. Wild Blood is the electrifying finale of the Hybrid Series—a shifter romance where the power of blood determines the fate of the world.

Wild Blood hooked me pretty quickly.
It’s intense and fast-paced, with a lot happening right from the start. Cassia is determined and strong, while Ronan’s inner conflict adds a darker, more unpredictable layer to the story. They both are mates and connection builds fast and intense. No one could keep them apart.
The mix of vampires, wolves, hybrids, and prophecy keeps the tension high throughout. I was still invested throughout the book wanting to see how it all plays out.

ARC review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wild Blood is the kind of paranormal romance that grabs you by the throat and drags you straight into a world where love and violence are tangled so tightly, you can’t tell where one ends and the other begins.

From the start, there’s this relentless sense of urgency Cassia isn’t just on a mission, she’s chasing the one thing that could end a war. But of course, fate has a twisted sense of humor because the moment she finds Ronan, everything shifts from strategy to something far more dangerous.

Their connection? Instant. Intense. And absolutely doomed-feeling in the best way.

Ronan’s struggle is one of the strongest parts of the story. That internal battle: the hunger, the darkness, the fear of losing himself it’s raw and unpredictable. You can feel that something inside him is changing, evolving into something powerful and possibly uncontrollable.

And Cassia? She’s sharp, relentless, and not easily shaken but even she isn’t immune to what’s building between them. Watching her try to stay focused on the mission while everything inside her pulls her toward him creates this constant tension that keeps the pages turning.

The world itself is rich with danger: wolves, vampires, bloodlines, prophecy and it all feels like it’s closing in on them from every direction. There’s no safe space, no pause to breathe. Just a steady climb toward something explosive.

And the stakes? Brutal.

Because this isn’t just about love it’s about what that love might cost. The prophecy hanging over them adds this looming sense of inevitability, like no matter what they choose, something is going to break.

I received this book as an ARC.

DNF at 33%

Right away I could tell that this book was not for me based on the writing style. The writing feels YA and is a bit unpolished. My understanding is that this can be read as a standalone, even though it’s the third book in the series, and this is the first book by this author that I’ve read. With that said, I felt readily confused in the very beginning with minimal introductions of characters, multiple characters being thrown in, and minimal background or world development brought forth. There’s also choppy scene transitions, chapter transitions, and time skips that are not clearly developed, delineated, or described, so I found myself confused on what was going on and where the characters were all of a sudden. Trying to understand and figure out what was happening kept taking me out of the plot. I felt like there was a lot of back-and-forth dialogue between the characters that resulted in portraying them as very young adult, and again, the dialogue distracted from what was actually happening. There’s definitely an instant lust and fated mates presence between the two main characters, and there is a lot of spice that seems to occur. I didn’t like the way that the spicy scenes were described or the word choices used, so I found myself skipping through them.

Ultimately, I was not enjoying this or the characters and DNF’ed.

Cassia, a vampire-human hybrid is on a mission to search for the werewolf hybrid that could finally bring an end to this deadly war. That's when her eyes meet Ronan's , who is yet to wrap his head around the growing power inside him. What they have is a connection like no other. But the prophecy asks you for sacrifices, it makes you go through the hardships to save the world.
With a deadly enemy on the rise and an infection taking over their world, Ronan and Cassia are put through numerous tests and fights bigger than what they would have ever imagined. Either their bond could help win this war or destroy them completely. The book was fast paced since the very beginning and didn't waste any time getting to the main plot at all. The world building and setting was also easy to understand as a beginner to such genres.
Cassia and Ronan's bond wasn't just unique, it was very steamy! In the initial chapters, I felt that some of these scenes were not fitting in and I wasn't able to actually get hold of the connection between characters, maybe it be with Cassia and Ronan or even her brother. But the story does get better gradually and the characters are even provided with proper depth to back their nature.

The book had an interesting premise, but the execution felt somewhat disconnected at times. The plot progression lacked clarity, which made it difficult to fully understand what was happening or stay emotionally invested in the story. Certain transitions between events and character decisions felt abrupt, leaving parts of the narrative underdeveloped.

The chemistry between the main characters also felt stagnant in several sections. While there were moments that beautifully showcased their vulnerability and emotional depth, the relationship development did not always feel consistent or naturally paced. As a result, some emotional scenes lacked the impact they could have had with stronger buildup.

That said, the book does have its strengths. The vulnerable moments between the characters added emotional weight, and there were glimpses of strong potential within the storyline. If the author had taken more time to gradually build the plot, strengthen the connections between events, and deepen the character dynamics, the overall reading experience could have been far more immersive and impactful.

Overall, the story had promise, but the pacing and storytelling structure made it difficult to fully connect with the characters and the narrative.

Wild Blood by Medallio Green is a fierce, emotionally charged finale that delivers everything a paranormal romance lover craves—danger, destiny, and a love that feels as powerful as it is destructive.

Cassia is relentless, sharp, and driven by purpose—but beneath that strength is someone who risks losing everything for a mission she thought she could control.
Ronan, on the other hand, is pure chaos wrapped in vulnerability—battling a darkness inside him that feels both terrifying and inevitable.

Together? Explosive.

Their connection is instant, intense, and laced with tension—the kind that feels like fate but comes with consequences. What makes this story stand out is how love isn’t portrayed as safe—it’s risky, consuming, and possibly catastrophic.

The stakes are high: war, prophecy, bloodlines, and a deadly infection that threatens to twist everything into something unrecognizable.

This book doesn’t hold back—it’s fast-paced, emotional, and filled with that addictive “one last chance before everything falls apart” energy.

If you love forbidden love, fated mates, and dark paranormal worlds, this one will pull you in and not let go.

This one has such a strong pull to it.

The connection between Cassía and Ronan feels immediate in a way that kind of catches you off guard. It’s intense straight away, like there’s no slow easing into it, just straight into that charged energy between them.

And I really liked how the story treats everything around them. Nothing feels easy or safe, even the relationship itself. It all comes with weight, like every choice matters and could tip everything over.

It’s very high tension, very emotional, and it just keeps building as it goes.

Thank you to Naughty Nook for the ARC!

This was a great enemies to lovers, Wolf shifter romance with spice, suspense and intrigue. The chemistry between Ronan and Cass was intense and it was incredible to read as they turned into more than just enemies.

The writing was great, I enjoyed the characters and I did enjoy the plot. I think at times it was a little confusing, but overall the world building was good and everything was fluid and well done!
