I loved that she is not polished or eager to impress. She is strong, guarded, and completely herself in baggy clothes and a baseball cap. Beneath that exterior is a beautiful, curvy, fiercely independent woman with a complicated past.
Their chemistry builds slowly but intensely. What starts as an agreement for practical reasons turns into something deeper as Rhett begins to see Eveline for who she truly is. The story pulls you in straight away with that classic “forced proximity meets undeniable attraction” vibe, but it doesn’t feel stale. The dynamic between the leads is what really makes it. He’s controlled, powerful, and a little emotionally locked down (as all good billionaires are), while she brings the spark, challenging him in ways he definitely didn’t expect. Their banter? Sharp. Their chemistry? Off the charts.
What I enjoyed most was how the relationship actually developed. It wasn’t just instant lust—there’s a slow unraveling of walls, hidden vulnerabilities, and those moments where you realise it’s no longer just an arrangement. The tension builds really nicely before tipping into something deeper.
That said, some parts felt a bit predictable, especially if you’re a big fan of the trope. But honestly, the execution makes up for it—it’s easy to binge and hard to put down.

Arranged for a Billionaire is exactly how it sounds...an arranged marriage romance, which is a trope I am normally very fond of. Unfortunately the execution of this story fell flat for me. There were so many inconsistencies in the beginning of the book that it really took away from the story for me. That coupled with the insta lust/ insta love aspect of the book, without feeling like the main couple had any kind of real connection, just made this book unfortunately not very enjoyable. This story has a ton of spice, but again I felt no connection and foundation from the main characters. This was my first book by this author so I didn't really know what to expect. Unfortuantely, I just don't think this is my kind of writing style.

This was my first read from this author, and I loved it. Evie is terrified of her half-brother, who won’t stop stalking her. Rhett, now out of the forces, is pressured by his father to marry his friend’s daughter to secure some land. When Rhett sees a photo of her in baggy clothes and a hat, he mistakes her for a boy. Evie agrees to attend the ball with her father, but when her half-brother shows up, she hides. A man comes to her aid—Rhett—and he finds her stunning. The next day, Rhett’s father introduces him to the woman he’s supposed to marry, and it turns out to be Evie. Their story is so touching, and I can’t wait for the next installment.

Overall I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the second book in the series.
The characters are well-developed and interesting although not very relatable (unless you’re fortunate enough to have grown up rich). However, that wasn’t a detractor for me since I like for my books to be purely for enjoyment. The main characters are animal lovers, which is always a plus in my opinion!
The reason I took off a star is because I felt like there was way too much focus in a few scenes on synthetic fabrics. It just seemed out of place and almost felt like I was being preached at.

Arranged for a Billionaire was an interesting story about Rhett and Evie and the machinations of their fathers. Evie had been traumatized and her father wanted her married off. Rhett's father wanted to close a business deal. The two happened to meet and just happened to like each other despite their manipulative parents. Both had their own traumas to overcome and were able to find love with one another.

I enjoyed this book, however it did have a few too many political references. Kind of yanks you out of the story and back to “the real world.”
I did laugh out loud at one part and I know my dog looked at me like I was crazy :). I would be interested in reading the next book in the series as the characters are developed pretty well and they are relatable. Thank you for writing this story.

Rhett needs a wife and a child to be able to receive his inheritance because he wants to open a center that will help veterans. Eveline agrees to help him but has skeletons in her closet that gives her nightmares. Can they both work things out or will circumstances tear them apart? J.J. is a new author to myself and I was hooked looking at the cover and reading the prologues so of course I wanted and needed to read this romance book and boy am I sure glad I did. Rhett and Evie are exceptionally well written, and I absolutely LOVED this book.

J.J. Sorel was a new-to-me author, but the cover and the prologue immediately caught my attention and convinced me to pick up this romance—and I’m so glad I did. The story completely pulled me in, and Rhett and Evie are wonderfully written characters. I truly loved this book.

Nice easy going story short and lots of family drama. Nice not to have anyone trying to kill someone or the jealous woman getting involved well only a little bit but she was dealt with. Going to read the book about Colt now.

Rhett needed early access to his trust fund and his father had placed a condition of marriage. Evie had a creepy stalker of a stepbrother and her stepmother was abusive.
The couple had a strong connection from the beginning and pretty soon they were in a relationship. How they overcome the family obstacles and a clingy OW makes for a great storyline.
The supporting characters of Evie's friend and Rhett's brothers are great and am looking forward to reading their stories.

This book was Great! Loved it, the characters and back stories are absolutely relatable and believable. The author did a wonderful job laying out the scenes in pictures with such emotion I laughed, I cried, I even cussed a few characters.
