If a book has this author’s name on it, you know it’s going to be good! I particularly like this series, as it allows her imagination to soar. This time Reg’s dragon is growing up and needs to be around other dragons. But, are there any others, or is Ember the only one remaining? As expected, this tale is finely crafted and full of adventure. The characters are interesting and the storytelling is exceptional. Very highly recommended! I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a voluntary, unbiased review.

Quite the exciting adventure Reg, Starlight, and Ember have…not to mention Davy’s, Corvin, and Bailey. I do wonder what it is going to take to deal with Bob. He seems to be a menace still, albeit a lesser one. I enjoyed this book! I loved reading about Drakuntsee! What a delightful place! I look forward to Reg’s next adventure!

Quests and adolescent dragons…


Reg Rawlins once again finds herself in an adventure that held my full attention until the very last page. Her dragon, Ember, is becoming depressed at the possibility of being the last of his kind. He has searched and searched for other dragons but is starting to suspect he may be the only one. Facing that possibility is filling the poor young dragon with emotions he is ill-equipped to handle. The result could prove catastrophic to Black Sands (think teenage temper tantrum in a fire-breathing dragon). Reg sees his depression and anxiety and vows to help. Enlisting the aid of a few others for her quest, Reg will need all her skills and special gifts to locate dragons that, if they still exist, have purposely remained hidden for many decades. Nothing is ever simple or straight-forward for Reg. There are always twists and unforeseen complications, but Reg is resolute. She is determined to find other dragons, even if it means she may lose her beloved Ember to them as he goes on to pursue his path in life. I am never disappointed in the limitless imagination, the boundless empathy, or the absolute brilliance of the story-telling in each new addition to this series. I would definitely recommend this page-turner to anyone who enjoys well-crafted escapist reading.

This is the 26th book in a series. I really enjoy this series, so I highly recommend starting from the top. We are back again with Reg Rawlins and her dragon, Ember. Ember is having trouble, and Reg has to travel to a dragon colony to help Ember. There are so many other ins and outs here, but I do not want to spoil anything.

I received a copy of this book, and these opinions are my own.

I adore PD Workman, and this was another stellar example of her writing style and characters. Highly recommend this if you like a lighter mystery with fantasy elements.

Once again Reg is busy trying to save someone. This time it’s her dragon, who’s in grave danger. Impossible to not enjoy this story. I was totally lost in the dragon kingdom, wishing I could have been there. Love any story this author writes.
