LOVE COULD RIGHT THE WRONGS

The story "The Solid Rock" is a contemporary mystery that will keep readers turning the pages as the tale unfolds. Dana Fairfield loses her mother, Mattie, and with the assistance of her pastor and his wife, and an attorney, arrangements are made. A quick shopping trip, a private funeral, and then Dana is whisked away to the airport and later to board a ship for a two-week cruise. She is shocked, confused, but complies with her mother’s wishes, which include never returning to Toronto.
“There is no inheritance, only a stack of bills you cannot pay. I’ve made provisions for you. Go and find your path.”
Dana Fairfield was raised by Mattie, a strong Christian mother, who did the best for her daughter that she could. She lost her father, Joel, many years ago to drinking and gambling with unpaid debts. The cruise is luxurious and beyond the lifestyle to which Dana is accustomed. Meeting a group of socialites from New York, and being drawn into their group, she is challenged to a new lifestyle, but her Christian principles are stronger than the temptations.
“Mattie Fairfield had accepted her destiny and rarely complained. She’d been a woman of strong faith and character, whom Dana aspired to be more like in moving forward. Well, Mom, are you ready? Here we go.”
The story has the good, the bad, and the evil in people. Dana is protected by Justin Summers, also a Christian, who is a bodyguard for Cody Clarkston and his groupies, working for Reginald Clarkston. During the cruise, they include Dana in all their private excursions and dining, even though she is an outsider. When Justin discovers someone is stalking Dana, he makes it his mission to protect her.
The tale has mystery, suspense, discovery, and a sweet budding romance. I liked the characters, the amazing descriptions of the attractions—things the author herself experienced on her cruise, and shares with us. Best of all is the soul that accepts Christ as their savior, which adds to the story. Because this story contains a mystery, I will just say it was an excellent read, and I loved getting a glimpse of the area through the eyes of the author. There will be some revelations and surprises revealed by the end. Ms. Marlene Bierworth also shares more about the song, The Solid Rock.

Dana grew up with a strong faith, something her mom had taught her.
Dana, with the surprise gift, takes a cruise that change

Her faith is tested when she learns the truth of her benefactor.
Will she accept what he's saying and forgive her mother for this secret? Will she accept what she's being told, and move forward with it?
I gave this book 5 stars, I truly enjoyed every page turner.

This book is truly a delight. There were sad circumstances leading up to Dana’s cruise of a lifetime. I really enjoyed all the descriptions of her adventures in the ports. It really makes me want to schedule this cruise! Dana finds out a lot more about her unknown past. Great sti, wonderful characters and a beautiful setting. Highly recommend!

I love how the author weaved this hymn “The Solid Rock” into her storyline. It was very inspirational and helped Dana on her adventure of beginning a new life with lots of unknowns. Her faith stayed strong through it all even when she didn’t have all the answers surrounding the mystery that landed her on a luxurious 2 week cruise. Great book! Definitely recommend.

Seeing as how this isn’t the author’s usual writing style, it just goes to show the reader the depth of her gifting. Entertaining? Yes. But the redemption from pain of the past and the healing from the roots of bitterness flows freely, encouraging everyone who opens the pages to look up where grace is abundant and is given without condition.

As a retired pastor's wife, who enjoys the history and singing old fashion hymns I wanted to enjoy this series and especially this hymn's story. My aunt lived in Toronto, so I was hoping for a connection on several levels. That did not happen and I am moving on. I have enjoyed other books by Marlene Bierworth.

A story of a woman going from rags to riches—yet holding on to her faith. If you like to travel or go on cruises, this story is for you. This story is the second book in the series “Hymns to Stir the Heartstrings”. Enjoy!

Great book
I enjoyed this book. The trip to Tahiti and Hawaii was awesome. And of course throwing in a perfect love story was awesome too. I recommend this book.
