Loving Dangerous

Rate this book
Imagine learning as a child how cruel love could be.
And from that lesson, as well as being raised in a hood that teaches you; ‘love will get you killed’, it hardens you. Turning you into something sharp.
Something guarded.
Something…Dangerous.
But what if fate has a sense of humor? Allowing you a chance to relearn the lesson of love in it’s true form? And despite your attempts to fight it at every turn…it won’t let you go. Circling back to the very thing you swore you’d never feel again.
You can try and fight love. Push it away. Bury it. Hell, suffocate if you want…
But love doesn’t listen to logic.
It chooses who it wants. How it wants. When it wants.
Even between people who shouldn’t fit…but do.
The crazy thing about a love like that? You don’t just fall into it.
You surrender to it.
And love...the kind that changes everything—
Yeah, that kinda love…makes Loving Dangerous.

4.5 ⭐️

Loving Dangerous was my first KOLD book, and let me just say, I will be getting into his catalog! I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and truly couldn’t get enough of it.

The stories and characters interconnected beautifully, the plot and build up kept you engaged, and the overall pacing was just right. The emotional weight behind the characters and their choices made the story feel real, almost like you could connect pieces of it to real life. Danger and Lyric finding their way back to each other as adults, watching them navigate their own lives, their growth, their mistakes, and still gravitate back toward each other just hit different. The rawness and vulnerability of Larissa’s grief added another layer that you could actually feel. I loved that this book evoked emotions that stayed with me, instead of just passing by and going on to the next chapter like nothing happened.

Big shoutout to KOLD for his representation in the male book community, especially for highlighting male authors and the real experiences they go through. You can feel that as Danger wrestles between Brandon and Danger, the feelings he’s bottled up from his past and how those experiences shaped who he became before his reconnection with Lyric. Now I’m ready to be SAT for Erica and Spook’s story 🤭👀

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Long review incoming lol!
Urban, layered, messy, and dangerously good.

This was my first urban romance and my first Kold book, and let’s just say I’m officially in my urban era. I was hooked early, but hearing Kold speak on Tay’s Book Club Live afterward deepened everything. I already loved the book, but getting his perspective reinforced it. And reading while hearing the playlist for the book 🔥🔥🔥

At its core, this is Brandon “Danger” and Lyric’s story, but it’s also not. Yes, their second chance tension carried the book. Yes, watching Brandon harden his heart after elementary school heartbreak and grow into Danger was compelling. But what really did it for me was the ensemble energy. Every chapter rotates perspectives. The friend group is not background noise. Larissa. Erica. Lyric. Their banter felt real. Like sitting at brunch with my girls. Like “get to the point” interruptions and messy storytelling with love underneath it.

And then there’s Spook and Erica.
From the first club scene, the banter, the street confidence, the “what’s mine is mine” energy, I ate it up. Yes, I see the red flags. Yes, I’m in therapy. But their chemistry felt magnetic in a way that made me sit up every time they shared a scene. When I found out there’s another book focused on them, I immediately spiraled. I’m ready.

Now let’s talk about the layers.
The title is more than just Danger’s name. Loving Dangerous becomes thematic. Loving someone with a past. Loving while healing. Loving when it could cost you something. Loving when it’s risky emotionally, legally, even physically. That expansion of what “dangerous” meant really worked for me.

The thriller elements also delivered. Murder. Legal tension. A crime pinned on the wrong person. An MMC trying to move legit while his past lingers. An FMC navigating law and loyalty. If you love layered storytelling with street politics mixed into romance, it’s there.

I also appreciated how identity was handled. When Danger talks about putting Brandon to rest, I understood that. There’s something powerful about outgrowing a former version of yourself, even down to a name. Whether we agree with who someone becomes or not, transformation is real.

Now the messy.
Star is not a girl’s girl.
Lamont screams narcissist behavior wrapped in excuses.
Darnell gave full fantasy-building, stage five clinger energy that made my skin crawl.
Everyone else loved!

And honestly, that’s what made it feel grounded. People create narratives in their heads off the smallest gestures. Give someone an inch and they’ll write a whole creepy story you never signed up for. Watching that unfold was uncomfortable in the best storytelling way.

The wedding had me judging at first. Hard. But that’s my lens. Some people really do just know. Urban romance does not try to make everything tidy and therapy-approved. It lets characters make emotional, imperfect, sometimes impulsive decisions. That rawness is part of its charm. This wasn’t polished. It wasn’t squeaky clean. It was layered, flawed, emotional, and real. For my first urban romance, this was a strong entry point.

Kold, I’m officially in your catalog now.

This was my first read by Kold and I did NOT know what to expect… but let me tell you.. I finished this book SAT. The way the events were unfolding?? I was here for the TEA but also heavy on the side-eye. Danger asking that girl to marry him after she had been in town for two seconds??? Sir. And Lyric saying YES fresh off a divorce??? I was clutching my pearls right along with Kold’s friends like “it’s too soon!” 😭 But listen… when those vows dropped??? I folded. Just like the friends did. I fell in love right along with them and had to shut my mouth. I LOVED the vulnerability of Larissa’s character. As well as the topic of grief being written so well. I am SO sat for Spooked by Love because I was team Spook & Erica!! Reason why the way this book ENDED had me SHOOK. Absolutely not. I need the next one immediately because I am SAT and ready to see how everything unfolds for Erica and Larissa.
Kold, you got me. 👏🏾

I ate this book up in no time ! I love how this book had me interested from the beginning to the end ! I love how we had multiple POVs because I was loving Erica and Spook story too.

The fact that Brandon/Danger knew in 5th grade that he loved this girl without even really know what love was and her coming back into his life after being heartbroken for so long 😮‍💨

I enjoyed the friendships and relationships throughout and loved the drama sprinkled in there !!

Now I need to read about Erica and Spook and definitely Duece cause I got questions 😜🥰

Ohhh and Darnell and Lamont are definitely some entitled POS because niggas yall thought !

Edited : Okay the author explaining the title to me gives it a 5 stars

A 5 star nothing less!!
I enjoyed every single moment of Danger and Lyric and I also eventually was interested in Erika and Spooks story.
This book gave me all the feels and made me cry a little. I enjoyed the fact that lyric and danger talked through their hurt and pain, they put it all out on table like adults when the time came. I hope to read more about them in another book or even a part two of them

*** Spoiler… Kinda ***

I cannot lie, if I had to change one thing it would be the spice. I was waitingggg for danger and lyric to do the business b/c it was so much build up but their love was amazing to read about definitely forever two of my favorite characters.

Let me just say this… I was not expecting this book to grab me the way it did. Kold really lived up to that name because the way this story froze me in place? Whew. I was locked in. I found myself invested in every character, like everyone had their own lane, their own mess, and all of it kept me turning the pages wanting more.

And Lyric? She was the star of the show without even trying. The way she carried the spotlight so effortlessly had me rooting for her the whole time.

And Danger… listen. He is the definition of knowing what you want and going after it with full force. The energy he brought? Unmatched.

That’s all I’m gonna give without spoiling anything, but just know this one had me in a chokehold.

I LOVED how this wasn’t just a romance. It gave drama, suspense and action wrapped up in a romance and I’m a sucker for a story with multiple POVs!
I really enjoyed Brandon and Lyric’s love story overall, but let me be honest, Danger/Brandon definitely pissed me off! If he was so in love with Lyric, why did he let her get away so easily? My ONLY real gripe is the fact that Lyric chose someone else back in fifth grade and Danger never spoke to her again after that?! Fifth grade! He really allowed another boy to get in the way and just… disappeared? That aside, the emotional connection after reuniting between Danger and Lyric was still engaging, and their story had moments that pulled me in and made me root for them. I’m really hard on second chance romances but watching Brandon and Lyric rekindle their flame was worth it I’d admit. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

KOLD showed out for this to be his first ever romance! I cant wait to dive into the rest of the series! Even though it wasnt as spicy as I like my books he still had me hooked on every. Single. Page! And I dont like slow burns but this one kept me intrigued and he paired it with second chance which im a suckered for. I love how at the end he gave us a backstory into his real life and how it played a part in Lyrics and Dangers story! I hope for the next books he wont address the readers it kept reminding me that oh this ISNT real life 😭😭
I also love how he paid homage to other writers and even plugged his other works in (I didnt like it at the time of reading it but now I get it and I will definitely be picking up Ducati Mob sooner to see what Deuce talm bout)

10/10 Amazing job

Fro this to be your first romance this was beautifully written, I still felt the grit that your books usually has as well. It didn’t feel like you had to switch up your normal style for this book and I loved that! Danger and Lyrics story was so deep and heartfelt and it really felt like I was talking to my homeboy about his first crush. Erica & Spook Story was a just as heartfelt and even had a little drama in it that took it up a notch. I hope you not gonna run off and leave us without giving my other homegirl a lil love of her own. lol ! But overall amazing read !!

Loved it 🥰

I’ve been meaning to read a book by Kold for a minute, and I’m glad I finally did! I was in a reading slump and on the verge of giving up on the genre but this book changed my mind. This book was heartfelt but there was still grit and Kold wrote it in a way that made it feel real. He made me care about the characters and I was heavily invested in their lives. I can’t wait to see if some of the other characters get stories too. I loved the way that Danger loved Lyric and I feel every girl [that wants that] deserves to have that, someday. 🥰 10/10 would highly recommend and would read again 😁

Let me tell you! I’m not sure what I was expecting when I heard that a man was writing an urban romance but I wasn’t expecting this! I love that we get to see multiple relationships form in different povs. I thought it was cool how there were shout outs of other authors throughout the book (the character are also readers!) as well as the author mentioning himself through the characters, as if the characters was talking to him in real time. Ugh I need it to be a series!

Cute Love Story

I love a good love story with some drama. What I liked the most was the romantic development between the main characters Lyric and Danger. I like to see a romance place out from start to finish and this book did just that. Recommend highly for an urban romance that still has that drama and action but focused more on the bonding and love. So cute!

*Loving Dangerous* was a surprisingly solid romance, especially considering it was Kold’s first time writing in the genre. You can tell he stepped outside his usual comfort zone, and for a debut romance, he did a pretty good job capturing the emotional tension and chemistry between the characters.

The story has a nice balance of danger, passion, and drama that keeps things interesting without feeling overly predictable. While there are moments where the pacing or dialogue could be a little smoother, it’s easy to appreciate the effort and creativity behind the story. The characters feel genuine enough to root for, and their dynamic carries the book through its slower parts.

Overall, it’s an enjoyable read and a strong first attempt at romance from Kold. If this is the direction he continues exploring, there’s definitely potential for even better stories in the future. The book discussion definitely help change my point of view as well 💯

Kold truly snapped on this story. I was privileged to ARC read Loving Dangerous where Brandon and Lyric were chikdhood friends and neighbors. What started as cute crush was a planned future in Brandon's eyes but when a unplanned interception gets in the way he shuts down and just removes himself from the friendship with Lyric. Fast forward a chance encounter leads to a love story that was years in the making. This was a beautiful second chance love that just warmed my soul. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great love story with urban elements..

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this new release from KOLD. Loving Dangerous is a second chance romance that did not disappoint! Dangerous & Lyric’s love story will have you reminiscing about your 1st Love. The one that makes you sing “Next Lifetime” when they cross your mind. This story also brings the drama as well! Murder, cheating, the Feds AND a brewing love triangle - or should I say quadrant, are all in play amongst the trauma Danger & Lyric are trying to navigate on their way back to each other. I highly recommend you grab a copy when it becomes available 12/21/25

I’m not even going to lie… this one surprised me in the best way.

Danger carrying around feelings for Lyric since elementary school? That kind of long term, deep rooted love will ALWAYS get me. But the heartbreak he experienced? Whew. You could really feel how it hardened him and changed his whole outlook. He wasn’t cold just to be cold he was hurt. And that hit.

Then Lyric coming back into his life after everything she’s been through? The timing, the growth, the way their history just lingered between them… it was giving second chance in the most real way. Watching his heart slowly thaw instead of an instant switch made it even better. When he knew, he knew and I loved that there was no games once he got there.

And can we talk about the side characters?? Spook being lowkey but solid, the loyalty, the crew dynamics it didn’t feel like just a romance. It felt like a full world. I’m a sucker for multiple POVs and layered characters, so this worked perfectly for me.

There was love, pain, healing, and just enough mess to keep it interesting without overdoing it. This was my first read by this author and it definitely won’t be my last.

Danger is that guy!!!!

Knowing what you want at a very young age is real and possible. Your heart knows what it wants. Sometimes your past can be your future if you allow it. What is meant to be will be. Communication is always the best so there’s understanding. Let Chat!!!

First let me stated that I love Brandon aka Danger down. His vibe and energy along with his BDE was it for me. This man didn’t allow anything to get under his skin and if it did he had not issue with addressing it. Once thing he did know for jump was that his heart belonged to one person and one person only – Lyric. Now what got me was the slight grudge he held against her for so long. Like I get you love her but my guy that’s a long time to feel the way he was feeling. But who am I to say anything. One thing I will say is that ya boy knew what he wanted and who he wanted from the tender 5th grade. We all know that saying “out of site out of mind” and that’s how it’s been for so long but when that changed everything else did to. I loved how he tried his hardest to not allow her to be back in town to affect him, but the moment he seen her it became a battle. Let’s not forget how ya boy Lamont just had it out when it came to Danger. Like he really needed to let it go. This man didn’t and hasn’t thought about Lamont not one time since middle school, honestly he didn’t care and never have. Lamont actions only had Danger really wanting to get his woman back. The moment he shown vulnerability was when I was like – my man – LOL. Seeing a soft side of man is something else and women need that sometimes – LOL. Can I mention when everything was said and done, however, Danger wasted NO time. Oh, but ya boy knew what he needed to do and did just that – got his woman.

Lyric is that light that any friend or man will want to be around if that makes sense. She had an energy that didn’t allow the little things to get to her. One thing about Lyric, when she loves she loves hard. So, when the bum Lamont took her heart and decided to step on it, my girl put up them 2 fingers and was like “DEUCES”. Love my girl down for standing 10 toes on letting him go. My heart truly went out to her because not only is Lamont full of it, but she also had to deal with the loss of her mom. My girl didn’t deserve that at all. Returning to the place she never thought she would return to but it was all worth it once all said and done. The fact that she was able to reunite with her friends was something she didn’t know she needed. Though it was hard to deal with the truth of why Danger was the way he was with her, she was able to understand his actions toward her. The vulnerability that was shown when they were talking about the past was beautiful and I honestly became teary eyed – Lol. I must agree with her regarding his actions because they were kids and for him to hold that for the time he did was not healthy but she understood it and respected it. One thing I will say is TN wasn’t ready for a lawyer like Lyric. The way she shut it all down when helping Spook let me know my girl power when it comes to the law and I loved that for her. She not only made a name for herself in NY but she is doing it in TN. When all is said and done, she gets her real happily ever after.

As for Spook and Erica…. Yeah I need more on them. They are the couple I would like to know the outcome for. These two and the cat n mouse game they played were cute. Oh, but when trouble was knocking at the door both stood by each other’s side. Let’s not forget that spicy moment between the two – yeah I can’t wait to learn more about them. Then there was Darnell, ya boy was delulu and missing a lot of screws LOL. His actions were diabolical and funny at the same time. However, to be honest Erica fed into it knowing it would never by anything. So, in a sense she sent mix signals but in her defense she did start trying to shut it down – damage was already done. Now for him to try and set up Spook is what got me. Like he really thought he could get away with it. Now that was funny.

This read was full of secrets, lies, betrayal, mental illness, hurt, pain and second chance love. It was truly a good time. KOLD will give you read that you don’t wish to put down and this is one of them. Glad to be back in his catalog and I am now running over to Spook by Love.

This story was absolutely breathtaking and had me grinning like a fool, because I couldn’t help but drift back to when my husband and I first met in the 2nd grade. As I followed Danger and Lyric’s journey, I found myself replaying those sweet, simple moments from my own childhood—the way my husband used to save me a seat in the cafeteria at lunch, protect me during dodgeball like it was a full-contact sport, and sit in front of me while I tugged on his ducktail 😂. Now, twelve years into a happy marriage, this book made me remember how innocent friendship can quietly grow into lifelong love, even when life and time try their hardest to pull two people apart.

Danger truly believed he’d fumbled his one true love, while Lyric was completely clueless as to why her best friend suddenly stopped speaking to her, which pushed her into the arms of a man who was never worthy of her in the first place. Watching her chase a false sense of belonging while Danger battled guilt, fear, and the weight of his past decisions was both heartbreaking and beautiful, because Kold shows how love can be messy, flawed, and still worth fighting for when hearts are willing to do the work.

I am extremely proud of how he intertwined his characters from the Ducati Mob universe, weaving them into this story in a way that felt seamless, nostalgic, and intentional rather than forced or gimmicky. He always pays homage to the amazing Jahquel J—his GOAT, my Worldbuilding Wizard—and I’m proud he’s studying her craft and growing his own ability to build such vivid, layered worlds as well.

He swears he doesn’t “do romance,” yet this book delivered all the feels with the perfect equation: trauma + street + scandal = a beautifully gritty love story that lingers long after the last page. I am praying he blesses us with more—Erica, Spook, Larissa, Bonni, Strict, and Jah all deserve their time in the spotlight, and I am completely enamored with these characters and this world he’s built. Five stars without hesitation—job well done, Kold, and I’m extremely proud of you. 💜

It is dangerous when childhood wounds harden into emotional armor, especially when love is the first casualty.

Brandon, known later in life as Danger, has been fixated on Lyric since a childhood moment on a school bus sparked a connection that felt innocent and permanent. He did everything a boy in puppy love is supposed to do, showing up, caring deeply, and believing his feelings would be enough. They were not. When Lyric falls for Lamont instead, the heartbreak reshapes Brandon entirely, pushing him to close himself off from love altogether.

Years later, Brandon has fully become Danger, and Lyric is now a successful attorney who returns from New York to grieve. Reconnecting with friends pulls her back into familiar spaces, but it also places her in the middle of a chain of events that feel anything but accidental. As things spiral, Lyric is forced to confront why she was meant to return to where it all began. The story keeps readers questioning whether the love she and Danger once shared can withstand time, regret, and the people they have both become.

Author KOLD pulls readers in from the very first chapter. His writing is vivid, grounded, and emotionally accessible, making the characters feel familiar long before their full stories unfold. While the cast is expansive, each storyline remains clear and engaging. Notably, the Spook and Erica arc stood out even more than the central romance, adding an unexpected layer of depth to the narrative.

What makes this novel especially impressive is the context behind it. KOLD is a street storyteller at heart, and this romance was written after readers challenged him to step into a different lane. He rose to that challenge and delivered something honest, heartfelt, and effective. The story is filled with gems that feel earned, moments shaped by wisdom and lived experience rather than convention. This is a strong, confident turn into romance, and one that deserves recognition.

I absolutely loved this book. First of all, the way it ties into the Ducati Mob universe? Chef’s kiss. If you’re already familiar, you’re gonna feel right at home. If you’re not… buckle up, because KOLD knows exactly how to pull you in and keep you there.

KOLD’s pen is nasty in the best way. He has that kind of writing that’ll make you pause mid page and say, “wow… damn, that was good.” And I really love that each character gets their own perspective. Multiple POVs can get messy real quick, but he does it so seamlessly that every voice makes sense and adds to the story instead of confusing it. Everything connects exactly how it should.

This definitely gave me second-chance romance vibes. Lyric and Dangerous weren’t strangers , they go way back to elementary school crush territory. Life happened, choices were made (she chose Lamont, married him, all that), but when Lyric and Dangerous cross paths again? Whew. The tension was TENSIONING.

Honestly, reading this felt like watching an episode of Power, and I loved every second of that shit. It was spicy, there was action, the storytelling was solid, and the pacing? Smooth. The story flowed so well that I was hooked from beginning to end and genuinely didn’t want it to be over.

If you like romance with grit, passion, drama, and real storytelling, go ahead and add this to your list. Loving Dangerous did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Now listen… when I tell you this was Kold’s first time writing romance and it hit THIS HARD? Baby, give me 14 more immediately. Because WHAT?!

I had the chance to read this as an ARC, and it was so good that I went right back and reread it once it officially dropped. That’s how you know it stuck. The idea that an elementary school crush gone left could freeze Danger’s heart for years? Yeah… that pain ran deep.

And then here comes Lyric, popping back into his life fresh off a divorce and learning how to move through her new normal. Just like that, that icebox he called a heart started to thaw. Slowly, but surely. And once Danger realized what it was? His whole mindset was very much “when you know, you know.” No hesitation. No confusion. Just action.

What really impressed me was that Kold didn’t just center the story on Danger and Lyric. He took the time to build out the other relationships too, and they mattered. Every character felt intentional. There was love, loss, drama, healing, and just the right amount of messiness to keep things real.

This book honestly made me even more proud to be a Kold fan. He continues to show his range, and if we’re being real? 2025 was on fire with every single release.

Romance looks good on you, sir. 🔥📚

Amazing

This challenge was nothing but amazing. KOLD asked used to giving something write about and this beautiful book came out of it.
The life of these friends had so many turns, but love wins in the end. I love how Danger and Lyric had to go through life changes to find their love and happiness. Love and happiness will make you do wrong and make you do right "Al Green"!
In life, you may go through lessons and explore the journey. It is wonderful when you find that one person who will be there for you, choose you, and know that you are their true love. In life, you go through sad moments, but when you have your true love to stand with you. There is nothing but grace to carry you through.
I was excited how KOLD tied his other book characters to this book. It was a great link to allow others to want to check out the rest of his catalog.
I am proud that KOLD stepped out of his comfort zone and wrote this book..
I hope KOLD finds what he wrote about. I was told by late grandma that there is someone out there for everyone. You just have to find that one person.
Congratulations on another outstanding book!!!

THIS BOOK WAS LITERALLY SO GOOD!! honestly gave it 6 stars, and it’s definitely my top favorite book right now! i love the writing style and the fact that it really takes you all the way into the story and makes you want to continue turning those pages (at least, it did with me.) i love all the lovely quotes that come in this book, i have yet to read anything else by Kold, but i can for sure say that this book made me feel more excited for the rest of his catalog! i can definitely say that i would recommend this book!

The way that Kold is literally over here talking to himself in the book was one of my favorite things about this book, it made me laugh so much, just the “Forreal, Kold…c’mon now”, when i read this part i was screaminggggg 😂😂😂😂

Star’s death was really sad, she did not deserve that AT ALL. Darnell literally PMO so bad, i really did not see that coming though!! and the way that Danger had brought her up in his speech during his and Lyric’s marriage was just so beautiful.

definitely reading the rest of his books cuz THIS ONE WAS TEA!!

This was my first time reading a book by KOLD and I'm not gonna lie... it was coo. But nothing that really stuck with me. The story had potential but the execution just didn't fully hit for me. He had a lot of "he walked in and the whole room shifted" moments that I thought was a little too much. Like every time the man or female character was around each other it was this intense energy thing and after a while I was kinda over it. It just didn't feel natural to me.

The storyline itself wasn't bad though. The MMC had a crush on the FMC back when they were kids, but she chose somebody else over him. That rejection clearly stuck with him because he grew up basically not having no relationships with females just kind of going through them. Year later she comes back into town after her mom passes and she is currently going through a divorce.

I will say him still holding a grudge after all those years was a bit much for me. I get it but at the same time I was like okay... we still on this? There were a couple of moments in the book especially towards the end that added a little twist and made things more interesting

Overall it wasn't a bad read. Just not one that really stands out.

ok book

This was one of those books that kept me reading, but didn’t fully hit the way I wanted it to.

The chemistry between the characters was definitely there, and I can see why people would enjoy the intensity of their dynamic. There’s a lot of drama and emotional tension, which made it easy to stay engaged and keep turning the pages.

However, I struggled with some of the character decisions and relationship dynamics. There were multiple moments where I found myself frustrated rather than invested, and it pulled me out of the story a bit. I wanted more depth and development to really connect with everything that was happening.

It’s not a bad book at all—it was entertaining and had its moments—but it just didn’t come together in a way that made it memorable for me.

If you enjoy messy, drama-filled romance with strong tension, you might still like this, but it may not work for everyone

Loving Dangerous
Kold

Early on in Danger’s formative years, the joyfulness of his youth is stripped away from him. Aspects of his life that he never had to question, no longer carried any certainty.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have the wherewithal or the support to deal with that type of disappointment appropriately. Instead, those experiences hardened him. He created an identity that would never leave him exposed again.

Lyric couldn’t have understood the impact of a childhood decision. While laser-focused on her professional endeavors, her personal life suffered. Now that distance, amongst other deciding factors is no longer a hindrance, there is nothing left, but space and opportunity.

When a second chance presents itself, “never”becomes “maybe” very quickly.

I read this a an ARC & For this to be Kolds first Romance I must say he didn’t do bad at all! I loved the interconnection of the romance, street, & overall storyline! Danger aka Brandon was at the incline of his life, business, etc.; BUT his love life was null and void until a blast from his past came and shook the entire damn table! Lyric is fresh out a divorce & back home in her hometown with no goal besides rebuilding her life until she “runs into” Brandon and her life legit changes forever! I’m not a 2nd chance girly, however, I was all up and through this book anticipating the moment when the love spark would explode & baby it def exploded with pettiness, realness, & a whole lotta pent up anger 🤣!

Can’t wait for a part 2, yep I claimed it!

Would you rekindle with a childhood love? *kicking my feet screaming* 🥰 This story was amazing. I've been hooked for the past couple of days. I love how the author started the story by taking us way back to when the main characters were in elementary school, giving us an explanation to how everything started. The focus was on more than one couple, and there were multiple POVs so i was able to see what everybody had going on, which made it even better. It also had some suspense and action going on. The spice was light, not too much and honestly, i liked that because it let the plot shine even more. I was jamming to the music referenced in the book. It brought the settings and vibes to life. There was never a dull moment. 100% RECOMMEND!
