But when Abraham falls, the resulting chaos forces Negan to make a tactical Instead of killing Glenn, he settles for breaking his arm and stealing Daryl Dixon as punishment for their defiance.
Glenn survives, but his soul is not intact. Haunted by the terror of that night and the guilt of his brother's capture, he watches as Rick shatters into a shell of a man, submitting to Negan's tyranny.
But Maggie refuses to surrender.
Together, Glenn and Maggie realize that obedience is a slow death. They abandon Alexandria, taking the first steps into the wilderness to find and fortify a new, secret home-a place they name Lori's Fort, a bastion of defiance built for the future they refuse to let Negan claim.
Driven by an engineer who prefers bolts to bullets, and fueled by a love tested by trauma, they will build an impenetrable fortress. But escaping Negan's clutches means only one the war begins sooner, and it will be deadlier.
Glenn had to embrace the darkness to live. Now, that darkness will be his weapon.
