Tyler Blake is making quite a name for himself in the racing circuit and has everything he’s ever wanted—fame, the support of his family, and hot women clamoring for his attention. But he can’t get a certain bookseller out of his head. The passionate night he spent with Michelle Bradley on the eve of his brother’s wedding still haunts him. He’s too busy living the dream to want commitment, but when he hears Michelle is seeing someone, it bothers him more than he’s willing to admit.
Michelle Bradley is making some major changes in her life. Fed up with months of pursuing the elusive Tyler Blake, she’s ready to throw in the towel. The night she spent with Tyler might as well never have happened, because he doesn’t seem to know she’s alive. But when a cooking class inspires Michelle to funnel her passion into the fine art of cuisine, she finds a new outlet: writing a food blog. Until a glimpse of Tyler on television kissing a woman after a big win sends her into a tizzy. With the help of the Blake women, Michelle kidnaps Tyler and takes him to a secluded cabin so they can have it out once and for all. She hopes the fabulous meal she’s prepared will entice him to stay, at least long enough for dessert…
Michelle and company was bold as all get out to conspire to kidnap Tyler. It was so funny to read his reactions when he realized what was going on. Equally funny to read his he called everyone but his mother to come rescue him and everyone of them just blew him off. He had no choice but to face the elephant in the room and admit his feelings for Michelle. He'd come to realize it was time for him to grow up and accept the fact that he loved Michelle. He too can have what his brothers found with their women.
Not sure why but this was a struggle to read. I don't think I enjoyed the characters. The story is the love story of Michelle and Tyler. Not bad just not that interesting for me. I have enjoyed the other Blake's series. May others find enjoyment in this one.
So unimpressed. I skimmed so much I don't even think this can be counted as a book I've read. So bored female lead pretty much kidnaps the man she likes into spending time with her, so dumb didn't like her and he wasn't much better. This was a surprise as I usually love everything this author writes but yikes!!! I paid money for this short nightmare,oh well u live and u learn.
Tyler I thought was going to be my favorite Bradford, kinda petered out for me. I love his and Michelle's dynamic but IDK it just didn't quite go there for me. I guess coming from J.J. and Sam's action packed romance to this more sweet and mellow mood just didn't do it for me. Still had allll the Blake charisma and arrogance as well as charm and I love the rest of the family. Teri-Lyn is a whoot! and its nice seeing the kids grow! They start those Blake boys young!
I love this series. The Black Boys are beyond gorgeous. It's about time Tyler and Michelle finally get together. Darn shame she had to kidnap him to get him to finally stop running from his feelings for her. Too funny when he was trying to get help from his family members.
