I'm Skyla Banes. I'm a wedding photographer and social media influencer who was left at the altar last June. My best friend and wedding videographer, Cam Dawson, was the best man. For me, romance is about showcasing the hope that comes after the hurt, the bad choices we make, the healing from the heartbreak. It's about the love the couples have for one another that makes them fight to be a better person or to never give up on the one they're meant to be with.
And trust me when I say this, men ARE hopeless romantics. They just need to know what we need from them and need guidance because again, the world taught them to be something they were never supposed to be. Men are our protectors, hard workers, providers. They live to serve. Literally. Even in the smallest, simplest of ways.

Oh my goodness! This book had me all in my feels and was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I loved every minute!! The characters are so relatable and the story feels so realistic, making you want to yell at, cry with, or laugh along with them! Sara Rieth killed it with her first book. I will definitely be recommending this book to all my friends 🧡

Photographing the Best Man by Sara Rieth completely surprised me in the best way. I went in expecting a light, fun romance, but this turned into a genuinely emotional and addictive read that I flew through.
The love triangle was done really well and actually felt complicated in a realistic way. The tension between friendship, attraction, and timing kept me constantly wondering how things would play out. I especially loved the multiple POVs — seeing the same moments from different perspectives added so much depth and made every interaction feel more meaningful.
The wedding-world setting mixed with social media pressure gave the story a very modern, relatable feel, and the emotional beats landed hard. I laughed, got frustrated, and definitely had moments where I just had to keep reading to see what happened next. It was sweet, dramatic, and heartfelt without being over-the-top.
This was an easy book to devour but still left me emotionally invested by the end. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this author.

This book is very well written. Keeps you wanting more! I sincerely cannot wait for this author to release more! If you are looking for a good love triangle and some fun drama, this is the book for you.

I don’t have words to describe the emotional roller coaster I just exited. I did not expect the twists & turns, and was always wondering what was next. I love the multiple POVs which either continues the story or tells the same story from a different view. It gives such a full picture of what is happening. I can’t wait for another!

Hi everyone! I'm the author of Photographing the Best Man. Without giving any spoilers away, expect drama. Expect twists. Be ready to laugh along with the characters, cry silently and feel a sense of hope that fate always has something up its sleeves. As a wedding photographer myself, I used inspiration from my travels, the venues I worked at, and the love languages I witnessed, to give it a real life element a reader can place themselves in. It is a love triangle between a photographer, a videographer and a best man. The book is split in two halves to help set a timeline as well. This book falls in between what I would call Hallmark Christmas Goodness and Smut. The heat is kept at PG-13 movie style and the drama may cause readers to feel emotional.
