Secuelas picks up in the tense aftermath of Angela’s revenge, and the fallout is intense. Now bound by a contract and trapped in Antonio’s world, Angela feels more like a prisoner than an employee. Every time Antonio tries to get close, she shuts him out—but that doesn’t stop him from fighting for her. And despite all her attempts to deny it, the chemistry between them refuses to stay buried.
Their dynamic is addictive: push and pull, fear and desire, resentment and longing. Angela keeps insisting she doesn’t want anything with her powerful, impossible boss… but Antonio is so hard to resist.
And that ending?! I’m desperate for more. I need more Angela. More Antonio. More everything. I’m not ready for this story to be over.
Make sure to read Venganza first so you fully understand Angela’s past and why she’s so guarded. Secuelas is gripping, emotional, and impossible to put down. A must-read if you love dark, tension-filled romance that leaves you begging for the next book.
If you like spicy dark mafia romance then this book will not disappoint you. This book has a strong leading character named Angela. She was hired by one of the biggest crime bosses (Antonio) to take care of any medical situations that arises. Angela signs a contract to live in the house and be on call 24/7. Over time the feelings Antonio has for Angela grows but there is a problem she will not date her boss. The contract gets torn up so he will not lose Angela and then the love between them flourish into being an actual couple. I can’t wait to see if there is a book 3 as I want to see what happens between Angela and Antonio. Will they be the next power house couple in the crime business.
the only reason I'm giving this four stars instead of 5 is a kind of what it was a little longer not massively larger but it just feels like others should be a little more, however if you are looking for a short dark romance I'm talking less than 70 pages so quick read this would be a good one to go to, there is a prequel to this book so if you're going to read this one you'll get a little bit more background information by reading the other one first.
I’ve had this one pre-ordered since I finished book 1 and as soon as I saw it load into my kindle library I immediately stopped what I was doing and started reading it. I DEVOURED IT! Book 2 starts where book 1 left off and we are in the aftermath of Angela’s revenge story. Antonio is finding out that he has way more feelings for Angela than what he can bare and he decides to tear up the contract that she signed. The contract has become theoretical handcuffs for Angela, making her feel like a prisoner. She will not allow herself to fully fall for Antonio with this contract hanging over her head since it makes him her boss. Antonio tells her he will do away with the contract and wants to be with her. What will she do? Will she stay and be with him or will she leave the confines and move on with her life? You guys have got to read this series. It’s soooo good.
I was so happy that B. Ortiz wrote a second book following Venganza. The first book left me wanting more of Angela and Antonio’s story, and Secuelas did not disappoint. From the beginning, the story kept me fully engaged as I couldn’t wait to see how their relationship would ultimately unfold.
I especially enjoyed Antonio’s protective nature and how he never allowed anyone to disrespect Angela. His willingness to change part of his world just to be with her showed the depth of his feelings and growth as a character. Angela’s internal struggle felt real, and I was glad to see her finally give in and give Antonio the chance he so clearly deserved.
Overall, Secuelas was a compelling continuation that delivered emotion, passion, and closure to Angela and Antonio’s story. A satisfying read for anyone who enjoyed Venganza.

I was lucky enough to beta and ARC read Secuelas, and I'm still reeling from how good it is. Ortiz picks up right where Venganza left off and delivers a dark, spicy, beautifully written sequel that had me hooked from page one. Antonio and Angela's tension? Unmatched. The spice? Perfect. The writing? Sharp and addictive. Ortiz does not disappoint.
”I grab her and sit her back down on the desk right in front of me like she’s a feast I’m about to devour.“
Angela has gone back to work–only to be picked up by Nico and taken straight back to Antonio. Not working at the hospital anymore was part of the deal, the contract. She workes for Antonio now.
The tension between Angela and Antonio is electric. She’s holding back, because he is after all, her boss.
Ortiz delivers a tale of dark romance, love, lust, violence, and solid character development. It’s a short and fast-paced story–in my opinion, just right.
I highly recommend reading Venganza, before diving into this sequel. Do it. They’re both five-star reads for me. Enjoy.
I loved this one too. So much excitement. I hope the journey with Angela and Antonio continue... They are perfect for each other!I love their banter together. You did it again. I love every word you write. I can't wait to read more. It was deliciously wonderful. Favorite quote "I'm scared too. Never in my life have I felt about anyone the way I feel about you. I'm not scared of loving you, I'm scared of losing you. I can't lose you."
This book definitely provides the information and closure needed, picking up right where book one left off. If you enjoy spicy dark mafia romance, it won’t disappoint. The story follows Angela, a strong female lead hired by powerful crime boss Antonio as his live-in, on-call medic. As their connection deepens, Antonio wants more—but Angela refuses to date her boss. To keep her, he tears up the contract, allowing their relationship to grow into something real. Angela and Antonio are the next crime-world power couple. The only reason this isn’t a five-star read is that the story could have easily been combined into one book instead of two shorter ones.
Secuelas is a great part 2! I love this story and it only gets better the more we read. Bambi Ortiz is a great writer. We definitely needed longer stories from this writer.
