About the author

David Claiborne grew up in Colorado. He was educated at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and the University of Colorado, Denver. He worked several jobs before becoming a writer, including teaching English overseas, selling cars, lifeguarding, selling toys, waiting tables, washing dishes, and installing drywall, but for most of his career he was a bureaucrat. This gave him an intimate understanding of how bureaucracies and HR departments of all kinds function. Claiborne published his first book in 2021, which draws on his experience to create a completely factual tale set hundreds of years in the future. Claiborne lives in Colorado with his wife, son, and new baby girl.
