THE TRUTH
A midnight kiss with a stranger at a New Year’s Eve party started the whirlwind romance.
Five years later, Alyssa and Grant Kennedy have the perfect marriage. Alyssa is a doctor while Grant is an accountant for his family’s business. They live in a gorgeous mini-mansion with a white picket fence and are about to start a family.
Things couldn’t be better, could they?

Unfortunately, things aren’t always what they seem.
We live in a world filled with lies.
Some lies are to make people feel good.
Some lies are to make ourselves look better.
Some lies are unforgivable and some lies get people killed.
What is the biggest lie you’ve ever told?

This book... wow. Katrina Alba KILLED it! In a good way ;) I loved Seasons, and I thought the style was going to be similar, but it wasn't. This book was suspenseful, and completely unpredictable. I was positive that I had predicted the right ending about 20% through. Nope - not even close!

The emotions were written so well, you felt everything the characters felt. You're mind and heart torn in two completely different directions. The development of the story line, the details, the characters, it was superb. I feel like the style of writing should be what you expect from an author who's releasing their 7th or even 8th book - not their second. Katrina Alba is extremely talented, and gifted when it comes to telling a story completely and she proves it with The Truth.

I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone!

I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review. That, and I'm a badass blogger, HA! This is the second book I've read by Katrina and can I just say, WOW! I liked her first book, BUT, I loved this book. The Truth shall set you free baby.

What girl doesn't dream of meeting a hot, charismatic, charming, rich, bad boy type? Well, Alyssa gets that wish... It was fireworks right from the start at a New Years Eve Party. Perfect, romantical start for a relationship... Or is it?

Alyssa didn't have the privileges in life, like most of us, as the filthy rich do. She did however make something of herself and her life and has a group of friends she loves dearly and who love her back. Alyssa seemingly has it all. Yet, she's finding herself more and more unhappy as time goes by. Her job is stressing her out, her husband ignores her and her friends are also busy with their own lives.

One day, something unexpected happens which sets in motion a chain of events that is unstoppable. Does Alyssa believe her husband? Who can she trust? Who does she turn to? Well, it wouldn't be much fun if I told you would it!!!

I don't understand the other reviews on this one. I need my stories to be accurate. It's not much to ask for. If you are going to have trials etc. please do some research. Evidence being the key here. And who becomes a practicing doctor right out of med. school? Maybe I'm picky who knows. I was ready to bag this one at 44%..but all the things she skipped over started to be explained. It didn't really help my opinion.... and the end? Really?

I'm known by my friends as someone who likes twisted, angsty, frustrating books. Katrina told me that her new book is being described as twisted, she said that she knew I would like it.

Holy hell, was she right. The very first chapter may be one of the most twisted things I have read in a long time or maybe ever. I'm shocked that she takes the story to this very dark and awful place. That being said, it was right up my alley.

Alyssa meets Grant at a New Year's Eve party and they share a midnight kiss. I know what you're thinking. Insta-love...gross. I'm not a fan of insta-love, but there is so much more to the story than two people falling in love instantly and living happily ever after.

For a while, they do have their happily ever after. They are the perfect couple to everyone else. As always, things start to go sour for the perfect couple and their perfect relationship. I, for one, couldn't be happier, because this is when things start to get interesting. I don't want to read about a perfect couple. I want to read about the grit and the dirt people have to go through. I want to see them climb out of the shit they are in.

Just when you think you have things figured out, Katrina lets out her evil laugh and smacks you in the face. I thought I knew things were going and then BAM! I think I let out a few swear words and then sent Katrina some angry messages.

All in all, this is the perfect book for me. If you're like me and like dark and twisted stories, I highly highly recommend picking this one up. If you like hearts and rainbows and sunshine, you should read this book and see what things are like on the dark side. Trust me, it's more fun over here.

The book releases on March 9 and I can't wait for the world to read this story!

Fireworks and Fairytales... Do either really last? This is the second book I've read by this author and I loved it! She's come a long way since Seasons!

Alyssa is struck by the handsome, rich, charming, bad boy, player. There is no denying their instant chemistry. And so begins their life of what was supposed to be bliss. Can we ever really have true bliss?

Alyssa is dedicated to her career and is damn good at it. However, this puts a strain on all her relationships, including her marriage.

An event takes place where a chain of events soon follow that cannot be stopped. Can Alyssa forgive her husband? Will she get her redemption? Does she get her revenge?

Read it to find out!!!

Once again, Katrina Alba takes us on one hell of a ride. The Truth will keep you guessing til the very end. It is about the lies that people tell in order to find happiness and/or everything the thought would make them happy. Only once they obtain these things do they realize they are not what they truly wanted after all. This is a suspenseful roller coaster ride that will no doubt make you say WTF!
<3 it Katrina and can't wait for more.

Wow! It took me a little bit to get into this book and I don't particularly care for how it kind of jumps around a lot from future to past. It was kind of confusing. BUT! This book had one of the best plots I read this year!! This book is full of lies, deciet, love, and twists that keeps your mind reeling!

This book was amazing! When I first starting reading this book I thought I would know the ending. But I was not close.
It is about thinking you have the best life then come realized everything around her has been a lie. Then decide to change your own out come.
There are lies from everyone then the truth finally come out from more then one person. Then deciding what you are going to do about it.
Such a great story, as always from Katrina! Thank you!

Alba did an amazing job wit this book. I was pretty sure I knew what was going to happen from the beginning but the more pages I read the more I was unsure. I personally didn't care how it flipped from future to past. But I very much enjoyed the plot. You really felt Alyssa's emotion whether it be pain or happiness.
