The End of Once Upon a Time

by Kristy Dixon

Izla built a shadow world to prove anyone could love—casting mortals into fairy tales they never chose. When her father decided she’d taken her experiments too far, he stripped her magic and bound her inside the world she created.

Powerless and alone, Izla struggles to keep her realm from falling apart. Then she meets Sean—the one mortal she never meant to involve—and discovers a love that feels real, not written.

But when Nassandra, a vengeful fairy who can take the form of a dragon, escapes her prison, Izla’s fragile world is pushed to the brink. With no magic to defend herself, she must fight for Sean and for the people she once controlled—not as a storyteller, but as a woman learning what love truly means.

Because even without magic, love can rewrite everything.

What an incredible ending to such an amazing series!
The writing was smooth and addictive, the characters were lovable and layered, and the plot had just the right amount of twists to keep me hooked the entire time.

I loved seeing the character growth throughout the story — it felt natural, emotional, and so rewarding. The world-building remained magical, the pacing was perfect, and the finale tied everything together in a way that felt both satisfying and heartfelt.

A beautiful conclusion that made me smile, tear up, and wish I could experience the series all over again. ✨
