This one was okay. It didn’t have the usual zing I expect from Estelle H’s books. It might be one I come back to later for a reread, but on the first go, it didn’t hit as strongly for me.
I know this author loves exploring alternative relationship dynamics and pushing the “why not?” angle, and I appreciate that. But I expected the start of the relationship between the main characters to unfold a little differently. Her books often open with a similar kind of conflict, and I was hoping for a change of pace this time.
Still, I’m excited to read the rest of the series and spend more time in this world.

Opens you eyes
I didn't read the synopsis before downloading this book. I saw one of my favorite writers who I trust for great stories. And I wasn't disappointed. But I was surprised at some of the discomfort I felt. A discomfort the author addressed through the father. You are going to love Desiree and Stetson. Despite how their relationship started, this is a friends to lovers story. Just with a hint of taboo.

These two got a second chance to be with the one who held their heart! They met when one was just a friend of the family and the other too young to know the difference between puppy love and soul mated for life. After heart break and distance, they finally got it right!

Great start to a new series
I adore Estelle H's books. As always, this was sweet and refreshing with the right amount of spice. Low drama, but a good story. Just what I needed.

It was just ok. Very hallmark cookie cutter. It just was ok. Nothing memorable really. They characters all pretty much blended in with each other.
