A friends-to-lovers, unplanned pregnancy, small-town romance about a broken heart, a forbidden night, and a love that changes everything.
Vet nurse Beth Lawson knows her relationship with Jude is on life support, but she never expects him to choose Valentine’s Day to confess he doesn’t want kids. Devastated, she walks out—on Jude, on their home, and on the dreams she’d built around him.
Archer Cole, Jude’s friend and a psychologist at Sunrise Bay’s new therapy center, PAWS, has been quietly in love with Beth for years. When he hears what’s happened, he finds her at a local bar, intending only to make sure she’s okay. But one glass of wine becomes three, one touch becomes a kiss, and before the night is over, years of suppressed desire explode into a night neither of them can forget.
The next day, Jude says he wants her back. Confused and ashamed, Beth keeps her distance… until she discovers her night with Archer has left her unexpectedly pregnant.
Now Archer is torn between guilt and longing, and Beth between heartbreak and hope. But when they both start working at PAWS together, the walls between them begin to crumble.
Because sometimes the love you weren’t supposed to have is the one that finally sets you free.
USA Today bestselling author Serenity Woods writes about powerful men with big hearts and the women who bring them to their knees. Most of her stories are set in Aotearoa New Zealand, where she lives.
I was very kindly sent an ARC of this book; my opinions are my own.
And I must say, Serenity Woods has done it again.
She usually does, let's be real.
Beth and Archer are partly "the one that got away" and partly "second chances" in terms of tropes, which I love as a mix is always fun to read. The writing, as usual, remains top notch and I loved every single page.
I enjoyed the journey and questions raised in this one. What's a good relationship? What does compromise mean? When do you draw the line?
And of course, the set up of PAWS is in the background, already proving to be a great success. I can't wait to read more stories based in this center!
Plus, seeing the Kings in any way, shape or form (particularly Noah of this gen, my favourite) is always a treat.
10/10 recommend! Ms Woods writes everyday issues in heartwarming ways, bringing hope to a sometimes grey world. Her books never disappoint.
Another brilliant start to a new series from one of my favourite authors, this story oozes romance and intrigue from every page. Vet nurse, Beth Lawson, had been in a relationship with devastatingly handsome boyfriend, Jude, for two years, it started off as romantic, but lately it had been mostly all give and no take for Beth, the magic had gone, Beth had a sinking feeling that Jude still harboured feelings for an ex that he had once proposed to and had been turned down, After a huge argument, an argument from where there was no turning back, Jude and Beth parted ways, the stumbling block was one that neither of them could get past. Distraught Beth decided to drown her sorrows by getting blind drunk at the driftwood and it was there that Archer Cole found her. Therapist, Archer was Jude's best friend but he had secretly been in love with gentle but feisty Beth since he first met her, but he would never break the bro code. When kind, caring Archer found out about the break up, he had to find out if Beth was OK, Beth had always liked Archer, he was so different from Jude, she didn't have to walk on egg shells when he was around. When Archer found teary Beth, drunk ,and staring into the bottom of a glass, having no where to sleep, he took her to his house, he didn't want her drinking alone. The inevitable happened, Beth and Archer ended having a night of torrid romance, Beth was made to feel loved as she had never been loved before.........but there were consequences, Beth became pregnant, the very thing that she and Jude had argued about. This is a beautifully written story of two people who want to be together without hurting anyone, Serenity Woods has, as usual, written about wonderful, likeable people. all set in stunning Sunrise Bay. I love the fact that Noah North King, his Ark and his team are working in conjunction with Archer Cole's brand new therapy centre. I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.
Stay Until Sunrise by Serenity Woods Sunrise Bay #1
~ He definitely falls first, the bro-code that keeps him from making a move, and a night that changes everything – Great introduction o a wonderful new series ~
What I liked: * Beth Lawson: Veterinarian Nurse, kind, caring, loves her family, unsure of her relationship with Jude, admires Archer, communicates her needs, open, honest, good friend, has some issues to work through * Archer Cole: psychologist, younger brother, opening his own business – PAWS, bright, caring, open, feels haunted by his father and his father’s expectations, has loved Beth for years, Jude’s best friend, strong moral code, conflicted at times and has things to work through * The discussion of endometriosis and how it impacts the women in Beth’s family – fertility issues aren’t easy to deal with * Catching up with some of the other characters from Noah’s Ark and the introduction to characters that will be in future books of this spinoff series * The animals and the part they play in the books * Watching the development of the relationship between Beth and Archer and the way that the rest of the characters are there for both of them * Being able to eventually understand Jude though I haven’t warmed up to him – I wonder if he and Cassie might get together in a future book * Knowing that there will be another book with Natalie and Tyr as the main characters
What I didn’t like: * Jude’s selfishness, poor communication, lack of empathy, and feeling that I needed to know more about what made him tick – perhaps later in the series? * Thinking about infertility and the impact it can have on couples
Did I like this book? Yes Would I read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to the author for the ARC – this is my honest review. 5 Stars
l loved this new book from Serenity Woods with her usual gorgeous descriptions of characters & place that are so evocative. I so enjoyed being back in the world she has created in New Zealand with The Ark & the new project to build the PAWS Therapy centre. This story focuses on Beth, Jude & Archer. Jude & Archer have been best friends since schooldays. After 2 1/2 years together, Jude & Beth break up on Valentine’s Day, where Jude tells her that he doesn’t want children. After the breakup, Archer provides a welcome shoulder for Beth to cry on, & they give in to their strong mutual attraction which they had resisted for so long. Fertility problems are an issue for the women in Beth’s family; at the age of 29, conscious of her body clock ticking, she is anxious that she may experience similar problems to those experienced by her mother & sister Kim in conceiving. These are sensitive issues that affect many people, & Serenity writes with a light touch about these & the effects these can have on relationships for those affected.
We read how Beth, Archer & Jude navigate through all of these emotions & more after the breakup. While this is happening we also witness all the planning & work going into the setup of the PAWS Therapy centre. It’s an emotional story, with both Beth & Archer working through some deep family issues as they work out their relationship & whether they have a future together. I was reminded of the quote from the poet Philip Larkin about families, “they f**k you up, don’t they?”, both Beth & Archer suffered in this respect. It’s a really good story, which I loved & strongly recommend.
With thanks to the author for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
A new series but well remembered characters from the previous series provides continuity. As expected Serenity writes about a real life issue. In this case Beth, a very family orientated girl, spends a lot of time with her family.she has two sisters, the three of them have endometriosis to some extent, Donna has fairly easily become pregnant and had a baby, Kim has been forced to have five rounds of IVF treatment which has had a huge negative affect on her marriage, and Beth is almost thirty and her biological clock is ticking, she doesn’t know if she too might need IVF. Things had been difficult between her and Jude, her partner of two and a half years, he was jealous of her time spent with family or talking about Kim’s problems. During their latest row he tells her that he doesn’t want children, and she is devestated.
Archer comes to her rescue when she rushes away from the party they are both attending. He is Jude’s best friend, but has been attracted to Beth since the moment he first saw her. He phones her, and when he finds she is in a bar he follows, to look after her and ensure she does not drink alone. One thing leads to another, and she spends the night with him. She has always been attracted to him, but neither of them has acted on their feelings because she was with Jude.
The issues around babies and IVF treatment are sensitively dealt with, and both Kim and Beth manage to work things out with their relationships. The narrative provides a look at the problems from different viewpoints.
This book was filled with emotions from so many different perspectives. Current relationships ending or being in jeopardy. Past histories that often felt stifling or overwhelming in regards to how life was current being lived. Individual guilt and hurdles to overcome. Positive looks into the future and uplifting projects for the future. I loved the whole idea of PAWS.
Archer and Beth had to deal with all of those issues at some point during their journey. The great thing about this book was the love they had for one another. The comfort they felt in each other's presence along with the romance and sensuality they experienced.
I liked the way that Beth and Archer worked through their initial issues. I appreciated Beth needed to be alone to clear her head and come to terms with how her previous relationship ended. I wish there had been a scene between Beth and her sister about when Beth shared her news. That had to have been devastating for Kim.
Another entertaining addition to this series. Although it is book 1 and can be read as a stand-alone, reading Cullen and Isla's book will provide some additional background. I'm looking forward to Tyr and Natalie's book.
One thing I can say about this author's books is there is always a strong romantic vibe with a level of heat that focuses on the sensuality, not just the heat.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Welcome to Sunrise Bay! This new series promises to be another winner. This inaugural novel can be summed up in one word … complicated. We start off with a love triangle of sorts. Beth and Jude have been together over two years. Archer is Jude's best friend who has secretly been in love with Beth the whole time. Beth sees Archer as a dear friend. When Jude and Beth break up over a fundamental disconnect in their views on children, that dynamic changes.
As the story unfolds, Ms. Woods takes us through a maze of relationships. Does it violate the “bro code” when Aricher steps in with Beth? Can the friendship of Jude and Archer survive what surely feels like betrayal. Is what Beth and Archer have real? How will the professional relationship among the three of them work out as Archer gets his new PAWS therapy center up and running? Add to this, Beth has family problems to deal with as her sister's unrelenting quest to become pregnant has pushed her marriage into trouble.
As usual, the story is well laid out, characters intricately detailed, and the theme pervasive. We revel in all the feels and just enough heat to keep the spice meter running. The connection to the earlier Noah's Ark stories and characters makes us feel right at home. If you missed the prequel, do yourself a favor and pick that one up too. I received a complimentary copy from the author and chose to share my thoughts in this review.
Stay Until Sunrise Sunrise Bay #1 Serenity Woods ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a beautiful story of new love in a messed-up world. Beth and Archer make a beautiful couple, but it doesn’t come with its challenges. I see this story potentially being a deal breaker for some, depending on your thoughts and feelings about cheating. Is sleeping with someone hours after you break up cheating? While it didn’t upset me it has left a little question. Archer has always had a soft spot for Beth, but she was dating his best mate, so she’s always been admired from afar, but when he finds her in a bar drinking away her sorrows on Valentine’s Day, he knows he can’t leave her there, offering her his couch to sleep off the alcohol, she g ids her self in a night she’ll never forget. This is Archer's opportunity to win over the girl he’s loved from afar. Not without drama, fistfights and loss of friendship Archer knows he’s made the right decision pursuing Beth. She’s everything he ever wanted and never knew he needed. But as Archer continues to set up the PAWS centre, the pair find happiness in small touches, smiles and the future ready for them. But we all know things don’t ever go to plans, leaving Beth and Archer questioning whether their future is actually a reality they can move towards. I’m definitely loving this new series, the characters and the location has my dreams wishing for a trip across the Pond
The new Sunrise Bay series kicks off with the beautifully heartfelt story of Archer and Beth.
Archer is busy setting up his own therapy clinic called PAWS. He has also been secretly been in love with Beth - his best friend's girlfriend - for years.
"I feel completely torn. Jude is my best friend. But I’ve been in love with his girl since the moment I met her."
Beth, a veterinary nurse, is in the last throes of her two-and-a-half year relationship with Jude. Their differences now outweigh their similarities.
"“He’s so… prickly. I feel as if I’m walking on eggshells all the time.”"
Beth can't help comparing Jude to his best friend.
"Archer is like a warm March afternoon in the Northland. The kind of day that’s a comfortable temperature, while still carrying the beauty of summer in the air. He’s the background music of a waterfall, the scent of a forest, the glimpse of an animal in the undergrowth. Not a fox, like Jude, careful, cunning, and defensive."
This highly visual prose is why I love Serenity's books. Enriched with a strong, realistic story often set in the beautiful tropical Northland of New Zealand. Always with a sensitive topic that is beautifully handled. This is a great start to a new series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and am leaving a completely honest review.
What a beautiful story of new love in a complicated world. Beth and Archer make a lovely couple, but their relationship comes with its challenges. This story may be a deal breaker for some, depending on their views on cheating. Is sleeping with someone just hours after a breakup considered cheating? While it didn't upset me, it did leave me with a lingering question.
Archer has always had a soft spot for Beth, but she was dating his best friend, so he admired her from a distance. However, when he finds her in a bar, drinking away her sorrows on Valentine's Day, he knows he can't leave her there. He offers her his couch to sleep off the alcohol, leading to a night she'll never forget. This is Archer's chance to win over the girl he's loved from afar.
Not without drama, fistfights, and the loss of friendships, Archer knows he's made the right choice in pursuing Beth. She's everything he ever wanted and never realised he needed. As Archer continues to set up the PAWS centre, the pair find happiness in small touches, smiles, and the promise of a future together. But we all know that things don't always go to plan, leaving Beth and Archer questioning whether their future is a reality they can truly move towards.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this new series; the characters and the setting have me dreaming of a trip across the pond.
Archer has loved Beth from afar since he was first introduced to her by his BF, Jude who now has dated her for 2 ½ years. The three all work together at Noah’s Ark Animal Refuge. After a disastrous Valentine’s Day evening, Jude and Beth call it quits. Archer is the friend who is there for Beth, all while wondering if Jude and her will get back together. At the same time Archer’s vision comes together for a program that combines counseling for humans and dogs together and an outreach program for the community (PAWS). This new endeavor is separate but associated with the Ark. Beth comes from a family with severe fertility issues, her sisters and their mother alike. Her sister Kim and her husband are battling fertility problems right now which adds another layer of pain for Beth as she wonders about her own fertility. As Beth evaluates all the problems Jude and she have had for a while now, she wonders what a relationship with Archer would be like. Such a lovely story of friendships, love, caring of humans and animals alike and the strength to persevere. The weaving of such beautiful descriptions of the scenery, to emotions and more this book draws you in as do all Ms. Woods books. Enjoy! I received an Advanced Reader Copy for an honest review.
Being together for two and a half years, Beth and Jude break up. Jude won’t make a commitment to her and now tells her he doesn’t want children. As Archer and Jude are best friends, Archer has kept the secret of being in love with Beth from the beginning. He does try to get them to work it out but neither Beth nor Jude seems inclined to take his advice. Beth and Jude both work at the Ark and Archer is starting his own therapy clinic called PAWS using therapy dogs to help clients. The Ark is helping with the startup. Beth’s family has had fertility issues due to endometriosis so that is one thing that is on her mind. Also, she feels she is always walking on eggshells with Jude so the tension is always there. With the break-up, she knows it is time and that they won’t be getting back together. When Archer makes sure, she is okay, she gets a glimpse of how special he is and wants to see where it goes but also needs time to work through everything. When Jude finds out they are seeing each other, will the friendship be over permanently or will they be able to get back the friendship between the three of them?
Archer is a therapist who will be opening a new treatment center that will use dogs to assist in treatment. The facility will be called PAWS (People and Animals Wellbeing Society), and will be located next to Noah's Ark, an animal rescue and treatment center (featured in The Billionaire Kings series). Archer has been in love with Beth since he met her. Unfortunately, Beth and Jude are a couple, and have been living together for 2 years. And to make it even more complicated, Jude is Archer's best friend since high school. Serenity Woods has written yet another compelling love story that will keep the reader interested from the first page. This is a great start to a new series, and I look forward to the next book. Although this book can stand alone, it connects to two previous series: Three Wise Men, and The Billionaire Kings. Many of those characters appear in this book. But even if you're new to this author, don't miss this book! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Stay until Sunrise is angsty, but true love conquers all!
A main theme in the book is fertility--or lack thereof. Beth knows she wants children, and fairly soon, but Jude , her live-in boyfriend of 2.5 years, shows no sign of committing. She suffers from endometriosis and her sister Kim has already undergone FIVE unsuccessful rounds of IVF treatments. She is devastated when, on Valentine's Day, Jude informs her he absolutely does not want children, and he knows she does, so he breaks up with her. When both Jude and Beth tell Archer (Jude's best friend who has loved Beth from afar since he met her) it is a permanent breakup, Archer decides Beth is more important to him. Thus begins the angst and indecision amongst the three friends as they work their way through the break up/new hookup/timeouts/workplace dilemmas and final resolution of true love.
All the while, Serenity Woods describes the locations and views so vividly, I want to be there, in Sunrise Bay, NOW!!! I was given an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
This is such an emotional journey filled with characters you will fall in love with (including a few dogs). As her relationship with Jude falls apart, Beth is rudderless and cannot help but move towards Archer who is so supportive and sensitive. The book does such a good job or traversing the slippery slope of questioning your relationship and breaking up. Serenity is so good at creating wonderful images and atmospheres for the reader that you feel like you are there in the story. And she also shares her love of New Zealand. This spin-off series from the Noah's Ark animal rescue center is so clever; using rescue dogs to help people in therapy find their way. And the book also explores the trauma of couples trying to get pregnant and the stress of using IVF again and again. The chemistry between Beth and Archer is sizzling and sweet. There is so much to love about this story! I volunteered to read and review an early copy and I am so glad I did.
Absolutely loved being back in Sunrise Bay! We first met Archer and Beth in the prequel, and I was rooting for them to end up together from the start. Beth becomes a pivotal figure when Jude realizes the future she imagined isn’t the one he wants, and Archer—Jude’s best friend—has his own deep connection with Beth, having fallen for her the moment they met. Serenity did such a beautiful job navigating all the tangled emotions between these characters. We also get plenty of Noah in this book, and I adored how he used his own experiences to support Beth when she needed it most. Honestly, these stories make me want to work at PAWS myself. Beth’s strength shines through even when she can’t see it, and Archer is the perfect balance—supportive, patient, and willing to give her the space she needs. They’re both thrown a major curveball in this story, but the ending was so satisfying. I can’t wait to see where their journey goes in future books!
This is the first book in Serenity Woods' new series, Sunrise Bay. Archer and Beth have been friends for a few years, mostly because Archer is Jude's best friend and Jude is Beth's boyfriend. However, she has become increasingly disenchanted with her relationship with Jude and the final nail in the coffin of that relationship is her learning that he does not want children. Archer, who has secretly been in love with Beth, swoops in to rescue her from a night of too much drink and one thing leads to another. As Beth and Archer get to know one another and, as Archer and Jude duke it out about Beth, a stronger, more meaningful relationship blooms between Archer and Beth. There is definitely an HEA and more happy news about some of the other characters from prior novels. Definitely a 5-star review! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the second book in the Sunset Bay series and is an offshoot of Noah's Ark series. I love revisiting Noah who the first series began with.
Serenity's books are always filled with warmth and a strong sense of family and community. Everyone who works at the Ark pulls together and champions one another.
In this book Beth and Archer are faced with their feelings for one another after Beth has just broken up with Jude. It is not an ideal situation.
Jude and Archer are childhood friends but things get sour when Jude and Archer are both interested in Beth.
This is not one of the authors happier books because of the infertility issues and the sadness of a breakup. That is not to say this wasn't an enjoyable read because it was. There was a sweet love story and an adorable Spoodle puppy that brought joy and lightness. I'm looking forward to the next book.

The talented Serenity Woods has written another fabulous book. It's a friends-to-lovers trope. I love that trope. It's a bit unusual in how fast they jump into being together after Beth's breakup with Jude, but that didn't detract from the story. It added another layer. Archer is setting up an animal-assisted therapy program right down the road from Noah's Ark, so there are a lot of old friends that we meet again. Archer and Beth are good together. They have a spark. I loved Queenie. She's such a doll. I hope that maybe therapy cats could be added to the therapy practice. Several new characters were introduced who will be working at PAWS. I'm looking forward to reading their stories. I highly recommend reading this book. Also, read the prequel Stay Until Christmas. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Stay Until Sunrise is a contemporary romance about Asher and Beth. The story focuses on love, trust, and learning to move forward after difficult experiences.
The main characters are well developed and easy to relate to. Both have emotional baggage, which makes their relationship feel realistic. As they spend time together, their connection grows naturally. The chemistry between them is strong, but the emotional bond is what really stands out.
The writing style is clear and easy to read. The story moves at a steady pace, with a good balance between romantic moments and deeper conversations. The setting adds a warm and cozy feeling to the book.
Overall, Stay Until Sunrise is a sweet and emotional love story. It’s a good choice for readers who enjoy character-focused romances with heartfelt moments and a satisfying ending.
Loved this first book in Serenity's new series. I had just finished the books I hadn’t read in her Kings of the Bay series. This felt like home, continuing on with characters I already knew and introducing new ones. Noah's Ark is such a fabulous concept and now we see the therapy spin off, PAWS, which will be run by Archer. Archer has loved veterinary nurse Beth from the moment he met her, but she is his best friend Jude's girl. But not all has been well the Beth and Jude's relationship. Tensions flare and cracks are insurmountable. How will they all move forward? We see tenderness and true love. Beautifully set once again in the Bay of Islands area of New Zealand.
Beth and Jude have been together two and a half years but when on Valentine’s Day Jude says he doesn’t want children, their relationship (which has been on shaky ground for sometime) falls apart. Upset Beth drowns her sorrows at the local bar which is where Archer, Jude’s best friend, finds her. Not wanting to return to the house she shares with Jude, she goes back to Archer’s where one thing leads to another… Their tryst becomes public in an explosive outburst, rupturing friendships. Can Beth have a relationship with Archer, who has loved her in silence for years, or will this be too difficult? No cheating. HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the first book in Serenity's new series Sunrise Bay. This series is linked to the Billionaire Kings series, so we do get to read about previous characters and I enjoyed that. This is the story of Archer and Beth who we meet in the prequel. It’s complicated as Beth is with Jude, Archers best friend, to begin with. Archer has always liked Beth though and things heat up when Beth and Jude break up.
I wasn’t sure what to expect as the tropes in this are not my favourites, but as usual with Serenity's writing, they were done so well. I loved revisiting the Ark characters and am enjoying meeting the new staff at PAWS, who I believe are the other books in the series. Would recommend this series.
Stay Until Sunrise is the 1st full-length story in the Sunrise Bay series set in New Zealand's beautiful Bay of Islands - a setting familiar from previous stories. And yes, we get to catch up with familiar characters! I'm a bit torn about Archer and Beth's story. I found myself really loving Archer and his steadfast love and devotion. He's a perfectly imperfect MMC. In contrast, I did not like Beth, she's just so unsure of what she wants. I enjoyed how Archer's new venture - PAWS - is taking shape and applaud the way the characters of future books in the series are introduced and am looking forward to the next one! I received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
I loved this book! I could at times identify with Beth as I had been in a similar relationship to her and Jude's a long time ago. Beth and Archer's story will at times resonate with anyone who has gone through a breakup, no matter if you were on a break, whether there was cheating (physical or emotionally) or if you just grew apart. It is beautifully written and the characters are everyday people. There isn't a high level of angst, which I appreciate as it usually drags a book out unnecessarily. I had such a lovely time reading this book, it was a shock when the story ended. FYI: they WERE on a break, there was no cheating and the ex is a selfish baby. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book.
New series, new obsession! As with all of the Serenity Woods books I've read, this new series is filled with an amazing background and difficult subject matters to learn from. I truly adore her writing style.
Loved Archer and Beth, and was obsessed with Queenie! Those of us who have pets in our lives understand the special place they have in our hearts and lives. I think that's what I love the most about this new series, its written around the PAWS environment, which makes it very enjoyable along with the characters we learn to love. I'm very much looking forward to the next installment in this series, and hoping to hear more on Archer and Beth in the background.
This book wasn't really what it was marketed to be. I was expecting a friends to lovers surprise pregnancy romance. Instead, it's about Beth going through a breakup, having a one night stand with her ex's best friend, and deciding how to move on. The pregnancy aspect is a relatively minor part of the plot and only near the very end.
I'm giving this four stars because I liked the angst and forbidden aspect of their relationship. I also really enjoyed the Billionaire Kings series so it's fun to be back in this world.
However I think if you haven't already got a connection to this setting and the characters and are picking this up because you want a surprise pregnancy romance, you might be disappointed.
I love the expanded world that Serenity is building up around Noah’s Ark. PAWS is going to be such a cool place. Someone should build these sorts of places for real! Serenity has dropped teasing hints about a romance between Archer and Beth for a while. And I really like Archer! Beth frustrated me a bit, but just in a ‘why can’t you do what we all know is clearly best for you?!’ kind of way. But she is very sweet and kind. I like that these folks are just regular people with jobs and rent to pay. Very relatable. And the chemistry between these two is great! I enjoyed reading this ARC and am happy to offer this honest review.
What a great series starter, which can be a standalone book if you don't want to read the rest. The romance is sweet, two people who were always meant to be together, eventually working it out, but with a few ups and downs along the way, not least Beth's only very recently ex Jude, is Archer's best friend, and they all work together. I really like the surrounding story to the developing relationship, a new business starting, animals, and therapy, close to my heart. Revisiting characters from other fabulous series written by Serenity was like catching up with old friends, and I can't wait to read more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
What a tangle of relationships Serenity takes us through. Beth is not happy. Her boyfriend is not happy. Her sister is not happy. Her brother-in-law is not happy. Her friend is trying to open a therapy centre while trying to deal with romantic feelings. We meet the prospective employees and I’m looking forward to their character development and individual stories. A heartfelt storytelling, untangling everyone’s heartstrings without losing valued relationships and taking the reader along for the ride. Can’t wait for the next story.
