New series starter of standalone books: sweet, spiritual, angsty and steamy
Dr. Rhiannon Crowe is starting over after an incident that ruined Amarillo for her and the vet practice she had worked at since graduating from veterinarian college. She had inherited an old farmstead in Glazier, Texas from her great grandma Lilah; Glazier was mostly a ghost town but that suited Rhiannon perfectly. Rhiannon outfitted a big truck with everything she could use in a mobile veterinary practice and was making a name for herself among five counties. One night she decides to go to a bar to relax after a very taxing day; there she sees the most strikingly handsome cowboy she had ever seen. Unfortunately, his personality did not match his physical good looks.
Gage Taggart is that goodlooking cowboy, but he is dealing with the death of his wife three years before. He did not like the fact that he found the new vet doctor so attractive. He had to be loyal to Mara his dead wife. Right? What happens when circumstances beyond his control take over? What happens though when he senses what he was doing and thinks it is wrong? Things will get worse before they get better. Now I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.

A wonderfully written story as Rhiannon moves away from her family to where her great-grandmother used to live to start her mobile veterinary clinic. She was at the local bar one evening about a half hour from her home, where she saw the most handsome man, Gage Taggart. He bailed the bartender and Rhiannon out of some trouble that came up in the bar that night. But he was grumpy about it. He called Rhiannon out to his ranch as a veterinary a few days later, but he did not know it was her, until she got there. He was attracted to her, but he did not want to be, since it felt wrong because of his deceased wife of three years. There was a multi-county extension meeting of ranchers, where Rhiannon was asked to speak, and Gage asked her out afterwards. They continued to see each other, but there was trouble ahead with Rhiannon being very faith based, and Gage had hated God ever, since He had let his wife die. Gage had a lot of emotional problems he needed to work through before he would ever be able to truly have a relationship with anyone. This was a very sweet romance with some sass.

Janalyn Knight has created a heart-wrenching story about rancher Gage Taggart, who lost his wife a few years ago, and he has not gotten over his feelings of guilt and grief. When he meets the new mobile vet, Dr. Rhiannon Crowe, he starts to have emotions that he thought he had buried with his late wife. Rhiannon wasn't looking to fall for anyone since she was concentrating on her new vet practice. Just when things start to heat up between the two of them, Gage suddenly seems to put the brakes on their new relationship without telling Rhiannon why. Will Gage be able to get his head on straight and learn what is truly in his heart? Can he forgive God for taking his wife from his life? If he comes to terms with his past, will Rhiannon still be there for them to have a future? Ms. Knight has written an amazing book capturing what a person can or does do, emotionally, after losing a loved one.

Thanks to the author for giving me this advance copy. I am leaving an honest, voluntary review.

A great heartfelt story about two people who find themselves over hardship. Him over a a loss of a love, her over a loss of her ideal job. Both trying not to let life get them down, yet for her having to rebuild her life in a new place and not knowing anyone. He hasn't wanted anyone around till he sees her, and there is a draw, yet he comes across rather harsh! beautiful story about two people who meet, developing a friendship and find feelings. Beautifully written story ❤️.

This was an excellent book about a couple who meet three years after the death of his wife. Gage had not yet worked through his grief, guilt, or anger at God when he met Rhianna. He was attracted to her instantly, but needed to heal himself before he could be the man she deserved. His struggle was dealt with as a journey of discovery and a resumption of his faith in a God he felt had abandoned him. The book was sensitive and thought-provoking.

This was a heartwarming read. Gage meets the new vet Rhiannon who travels with her vet business. There is attraction between them but Gage lost his wife Mara and he feels guilty thinking about another woman when he loved his late wife. Gage has to go thru alot of self healing before he can move on.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy.

Ms. Knight is one of my all time favorite authors. Her stories are ones that just draw me into the fictional world. It's like a bookcation.

I adored this story. I loved the dual POV. This is a story I would recommend to someone who loves a little spicy romance.

A heartwarming story of two people who have some traumas in their lives they are trying to overcome. She is a struggling vet and he is rancher who she meets and believes to be grumpy. A little bit of spice and a lot of sass.

In God We Trust

This was a great read. This was an emotional rollercoaster from loss, to healing and being able to love again. I enjoyed this book about Gage who gets a second chance at love and family with the new vet in town.
