When Sawyer catches her boyfriend—Chicago’s golden real estate prince—cheating, she trades skyscrapers for hay bales and heads back to Weston, Tennessee. Her plan? Lay low, mend fences with her estranged father, and help out on the family ranch for the summer.
What she doesn’t plan on? Running headfirst into him.
Tristan “Trouble” Stetson. Her brother’s best friend. The town’s cocky, bar-fighting bull rider who lives up to his nickname in every way. He’s off-limits, infuriating, and holds the record for her worst first impression. But the more they clash, the hotter the fire burns—and the harder it gets to tell if she wants to shove him away or drag him closer.
The Stetson brothers rule Weston, fearless on the rodeo circuit and fierce about their family’s land. But when a long-standing feud with a rival ranch ignites, Sawyer learns falling for Trouble doesn’t just mean trouble—it means stepping into a war she never asked for.
Because in Weston, love is a dangerous game… And loving trouble might cost her everything.
With a passion for storytelling, it has been my lifelong dream to pursue it and let my imagination run wild. I aspire to dominate literature with enticing contemporary romance novels.
More 4 1/2 🌟 If you adore a small town romance with four hot cowboys who truly live up to their nicknames Trouble, Danger, Charming and Rouge than the first book in the Stetson Range ranch series, Trouble is the book for you. Trouble or Tristan is a bull rider and true country boy at heart and his attraction to city girl Sawyer is instant. Sawyer returns home to help her family. Sawyer and Trouble’s chemistry is electric as is their banter. This brother’s best friend spicy cowboy romance is so good! I can’t wait for the rest of the series!
Obviously I was immediately in for sexy cowboy, then you add grumpy and protective and forbidden because he’s your brother’s best friend!! Of course the chemistry was so off the charts there were literal thunder storms!!
Their banter had me laughing out loud! The side characters are just as lovable as the main characters! I am excited to see where this series goes!
This book has everything you need from a cowboy romance and so much more! Stubborn cowboys. Small town shenanigans. Drama between land owners. And of course the spice!!!
The banter and sass between this cowboy and city girl is next level. Trouble is a Riley Green music video come to life and I love that for our girl Sawyer.
full review to come, but I promise you won't regret your trip to Stetson Ranch🤠
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The above opinions are my own.
4.5 ⭐ I devoured this book! I was giggling in the first 10 pages. The banter is bantery. And the tension is absolute perfection. The ending- omg my heart stopped for moment or two. And the last page had my jaw dangling. What??? I need to know more.
This was such a cute small town romance with just a hint of danger.
Poor Trouble, wanting the one thing he can’t have, his best friend’s little sister. Sawyer was just back to check on her dad after leaving the city. She planned on leaving this small town in the past but instead finds herself in some trouble. 😉
🤠 Small Town 🐂 Brother’s Best Friend 🤠 Age Gap 🐂 Forced Proximity 🤠 Banter 🐂 The Dare
I've just started getting into cowboy romances... this one did NOT disappoint! Rhe cockiness from Trouble was so funny when it was aimed at Sawyer. Their banter back and forth made me giggle and swoon! Their passion and love for each other was so amazing. I could feel it through the pages. It made my heart so happy. What I didnt expect at the end was a little cliffhanger.. we'll see what happens!
ARC review .. First book by Jess Bryson and man am I hooked! From the first page I felt like I needed to know what happened next. The story line, chemistry and between had needing to read one more page.
Absolutely loved it! Loved all the Stetsons brothers and can't wait to devour the rest of the series. Can't wait to read more and to end it on the cliffhanger, devastated I have to wait for the next book.

I’m in my Cowboy Romance Era (and forever will be!). Once I saw Trouble on Luna Literary’s website I immediately signed up! I mean helllooo a cocky, bar-fighting bullrider with a nickname of “Trouble”? Abso-freaking-lutely!
This is my first read by Jess Bryson and I am completely obsessed! I knew I was in “trouble” the second I started, because suddenly I didn’t want to read or do anything else. I thought I was getting a cowboy chaos and small-town flirting… and instead I was pulled into family drama, slow burn longing, emotional moments, and more! This story has all that grit, tension, and even humor.

𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔:
𝐒𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫: Born a country girl, but moved to the City and became a realtor at one of the top real estate agencies in Chicago. After dealing with a bad breakup with her cheating loser of an ex, who she unfortunately works with, she receives a call from her older brother which then leads her to an unexpected trip back home to her small town. I truly liked Sawyer and her arc. Not only is she sassy and fiery, but she also showed her vulnerability. She doesn’t magically “bounce back” after being cheated on. She expressed how she never felt seen and had her walls built up until she met Trouble and he was tearing those walls right down, but ever so slowly as she was trying so hard not to feel anything for him. I loved how she slowly reconnects with her country roots, her complicated relationship with her dad, and the way she tried to protect her heart. She’s stronger than she realized and watching her grow into that strength and truly be loved was perfect.
𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞: Tristan “Trouble” Stetson is exactly that. Intense, cocky, reckless, and unforgettable! I immediately pictured Riley Green (which fits perfectly, considering the inspiration!).
Trouble isn’t just a “playboy cowboy” while that may be on the outside, underneath the bar fights and bull riding reputation, he has this loyalty and a deep fear of losing the people he loves. He protects Sawyer first out of obligation, then he starts to genuinely care and fall for her (possibly a he falls first, but would never admit situation). He’s stubborn, infuriating at times, but can be romantic even in his our rough around the edges way. I was even swooning after that little fair date. Sawyer please spare him for a moment and let him take me on a little fair date just so I get to experience a proper country boy date night! The tension between him and Sawyer was immediate and every glance, argument, bickering, almost moment builds until it all finally spills out!
“𝘛𝘳𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦, 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵”
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬: The brothers add so much personality and humor. I love them all and I have no idea who I would fall for. I fear I would fall for Charming and his “charm” immediately. Danger just because he has that broody oldest brother vibe going on, and Rogue has this wildness to him with him being the youngest. But could Rogue possibly have this soft side like Trouble and we just don’t know about yet? Their dynamic made me laugh, worry, and fall a little in love with the entire family. I’m already so excited for each of their books!
𝐏𝐉: Best mom award. Truly. She raised four chaotic cowboys and still loves them fiercely.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
The small-town atmosphere, rival ranch tension, and moments of danger raise the stakes without taking away from the romance.
Toward the end, the suspense ramps up. I legit held my breath. With 20 pages left, I had no idea how it would all come together, and then… that cliffhanger. I wasn’t ready, and now I need book two immediately.
Thank you Jess Bryson and Luna Literary Management for the ARC! 💜

𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒕-𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅: Wow, wow, wow, I need the rest of the brothers books ASAP!
𝑷𝒓𝒆-𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅: Grateful to be chosen for this ARC! I’m so excited to start reading and finally meet Tristan and Sawyer! 💜
A big thank you to Jess Bryson and Luna Literary for this arc. Where to begin?! This was my first cowboy romance and boy did Jess Bryson set the bar high for all others!! This was also my first book by Jess but definitely won’t be my last!! The tension and yearning in this book had me literally melting!
After Sawyer walks in on her boyfriend cheating on her with his assistant, she decides to return home to Weston, Tennessee to clear her head and help her brother and father with their failing ranch.
She doesn’t want any distractions and definitely wants to steer clear of her brother’s best friend, Tristan “Trouble” Stetson….the hot, cocky, charming bull rider that everyone has their eye on.
Too bad their banter is red hot and their chemistry is undeniable. Only problem? Tristan knows she is definitely off limits as his best friend’s sister. But as the two can’t seem to stay away from each other, they know they are headed for trouble!
I literally couldn’t put this book down! Between the witty banter, the swoony Stetson bull riding brothers, and the yearning and tension that’ll have you melting, I inhaled this book!
Tristan Stetson…good grief this man will have your heart racing and weak in the knees within the first few pages! He reminds us that there is always more than meets the eye and he will fiercely protect those closest to him. Sawyer reminds us that while it is scary to open up your heart again after pain and loss, it can lead to renewed self confidence and finding a love that sets your heart on fire.
Trouble comes out on January 16!
Tropes: - Cowboy romance - Bull rider MMC - Country boy x city girl - Brothers best friend - “Fuck it” moment - Enemies-to-lovers - Sizzling banter

“I’ll do damn near anything to keep her safe. Even if she thinks I’m the devil himself.”
|Thoughts| Took me a moment to get my head around the unique names of the Stetson brothers but was an easy read.
“Oh, we date,” I say, leaning in just enough. “We just don’t fall in love. It’s a Stetson rule.”
Always enjoy the brother’s best friend trope and the forbidden aspect of this story works well.
"You should try a cowboy…They're loyal. Might not be great at commitment, but at least they're honest."
Trouble (Tristan), is the quintessential cowboy but this story had a bit more suspense that I expected.
"So the rumors are true? You wear the hat, you ride the cowboy?"
“Keep wearing that hat, darlin’, and people are gonna start thinking you're mine.” She lifts a brow, all fire and temptation. “Even this town knows I don’t belong to anyone.” My smile is slow. “Not yet.”
The ex boyfriend was an entertaining aspect of the story. Wish he had a but more karma thrown his way.
"If you were mine," I continue, the words slipping out before I can hold ‘em back, "I'd cross more than a few state lines to find you, too."
Thank you Luna Literacy and Jess Bryson for the ARC of Trouble.
WHAT TO EXPECT
💜 Small Town 💜City girl meets country boy 💜 Forced Proximity 💜 Older brother’s best friend 💜 Enemies to lovers (ish) 💜Cowboy hat rule (iykyk)
Trouble was the stereotypical country MMC. Confident, a big ego, but a hidden sensitive side. All the things we love about a cowboy.
Sawyer was a strong FMC. I liked that she wasn’t a damsel in distress and that she stood up for herself. Her comebacks and banter, top notch.
The whole family dynamic (and the nicknames for all the brothers) took me too long to figure out. I understand the family connection, however it was a lot of information thrown at me right at the start of the book. This is the main reason why I rated the book 3 stars. I also thought the book took a lot of time developing Sawyer and Trouble’s relationship, and then ended kind of abruptly.
Overall, it was a solid first book in the series. Trouble intrigued me enough to keep reading the series, and just like most books in a series, I’m sure I’ll love the cameos of Trouble and Sawyer.
Also, please tell me that Winnie still ends up with one of the brothers? I need a comeback story asap!!!!!

I am floored. Enamoured. This was absolutely fantastic in every single way. Tristan aka Trouble is officially a top 5 book boyfriend. City girl Sawyer is the little sister of Trouble's best friend Knox, and is in town to convince her father to sell his farm since he can't handle the upkeep. He's supposed to be watching out for her, not sneaking glances and seconds with her. After an unfortunate meeting between the two, the tension just skyrockets with each and every interaction - and the banter! Oh, the banter is perfection! I love the way that this story progresses - and the way both MCs grow naturally. If you love bull riders, reformed playboys, enemies to lovers, fantastic banter, brother's best friend, and tension that will make you sweat - this is the book for you! All the stars!
Thank you to Luna Literacy for an eARC to read before publishing.
Trouble by Jess Bryson is a Cowboy Romance that struggled to find its identity. It had promise in the beginning; however, about 50% in I felt as though it couldn't decide if it wanted to be a Cowboy Romance or a Dark Romance. And I'm not saying these two genres can't coexist, it just felt as though the Dark Romance aspects were an afterthought and not integrated throughout the story.
I also found moments of the book to be over dramatic. There were multiple times where I felt as though we were getting an epic speech about the merits of being a Cowboy and their work ethic, dedication to family, and their ability to handle anything life throws at them. I would much rather see and feel these themes be developed through the characters actions instead of being preached to about them.
Overall, Trouble is an okay Cowboy Romance that incorporates the tropes that you would expect to find in this genre.
First off I'd like to say thank you to Jess Bryson for allowing me to have the opportunity to read her book as part of her BETA team!
Trouble is book one of her new Cowboy series! It follows four brothers who live up to their nicknames. Trouble, Danger, Charming and Rouge. They have a long running feud with fellow rangers, but when Knox (Trouble's best friend) little sister comes to town. Things get a little crazy. There were turns that I didn't see coming and the ending almost took me out! 5 💜 read for me! I will read anything Jess Bryson writes!
Thank you Jess Bryson for my copy of Trouble. 🤍 I received this book for review, all opinions are my own and given freely.
Jess Bryson really said hold my beer and did the damn thing with this brand new series, kicked off with Trouble. Trouble is packed with fantastic tropes such as forbidden romance, brothers best friend, small town, touch her and die, found family and Yellowstone vibes. Jess Bryson knows how to write cowboy romance. Point blank period. Her writing style is impeccable, her stories play out perfectly in my mind and I never want her books to end. They are absolute must reads!
Tristan and Sawyer’s meet cute gone wrong had me hooked from the start. I was rooting for Sawyer from the beginning. Both of these characters were so easy to love. Along with all of the side characters honestly. I truly love all of the brothers and their relationship amongst one another and their mama. The plot twist at the end had my mind blown.. Jess definitely left all of us on the edge of our seats begging for more.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read a book that I literally could NOT put down. But Jess Bryson has absolutely done it with Trouble. Every single free second I had was spent devouring this one.
Book 1 in the new Stetson Stormers series introduces us to Tristan “Trouble” Stetson. Trouble is one of 4 brothers (just wait til you meet Danger, Charming, and Rogue!) and together they run Stetson Ranch and rule the rodeo circuit. He is impeccably cowboy hot (think Riley Green but even better), and he knows it. This cocky, beautiful, bull-rider has a different woman in his bed every week, but never allows them to stay longer than necessary. He lives and breathes ranch and rodeo life, and makes it clear that there is no room in his life for love.
Enter Sawyer. She’s a city girl, a realtor at one of the top real estate agencies in Chicago, and reeling from a bad breakup with her cheating ex. After an important phone call from Knox, her older brother, she runs back to the small southern town where she grew up.
Trouble and Sawyer butt heads from the very beginning. They continuously push each other’s buttons, and as the tension grows so does their chemistry. There’s just one small problem. Knox is Trouble’s best friend, and and has warned him not to cross the line. As time goes on, can Sawyer and Trouble fight the pull they have towards each other, or will they give in and chase this attraction?
I am utterly obsessed with this story. The plot kept my attention and the characters were so well written. The banter and chemistry between Sawyer and Trouble is so much fun, and so hot and spicy. It builds throughout until it boils over and WHEW it is a hot journey. There’s a little bit of tension & suspense sprinkled in too with a rival ranch and I thought it was a really great addition to the story.
There are some really fun tropes in this book, including: 💜 Older Brother’s Best Friend 🤠 Enemies to Lovers 💜 “F*ck It” 🤠 Secret Relationship 💜 Bull Rider/Cowboy Romance 🤠 Worst Ever First Meet 💜 Small Town Drama 🤠 Constant Banter 💜 Forced Proximity
A huge thank you to Jess and Luna Literary for the opportunity to ARC read Trouble! 💜
Thank you to Luna literary and Jess Bryson for allowing me to have an ARC copy of "Trouble" available January 16th!
Jess has gone and done it again! Her writing is incredible and keeps you hooked and wanting more through out the book. Nothing is predictable. Theres spice, suspense, kicking your feet giggling and heartbreak. It takes you through all the emotions. I never wanted to put this book down and it will definitely be a read again. My fiancé can vouch that I raved about this book even to him 🤣 I wanna be apart of the Steston ranch just a bit longer! A great book to dive into for a cowboy era!
Trouble is book one of the Stetson Stormer Series. It follows the story of Sawyer Woodworth and Trouble Steston, a bull rider. Sawyer visits home after her brother Knox begs her to help their dad and farm in Tennessee, its just a break from city life as she was cheated on. She visits her brother Knox, a bull rider and has a very funny and disastrous first meet with his best friend Trouble. The Stetson brothers all have nicknames that they live up to. With a lot of twists and turns we see forced proximity and fighting feelings.

ARC Review Trouble by Jess Bryson Series: A Stetson Stormers Novel Release Date: January 16th, 2026 Rating: 4 Stars
What to Expect: Country Boy Meets City Girl Enemies to Lovers Older Brother's Best Friend Small Town Drama Forced Proximity No Third Act Breakup
Review: Trouble by Jess Bryson is book one of her new series. We meet Sawyer, a real estate agent from Chicago, who's come back home to Weston to help her family out. We also meet bad boy and bull rider, Tristan "Trouble" Stetson. This is my first book by Bryson, and she didn't disappoint! I added her other books to my TBR, and I can't wait to read them!
Let's start with Sawyer and Trouble's meet cute(if you can call it that). The whole interaction made me laugh. Without giving too much away, I will say this: a butterknife is involved.
This book had it all: comedy, suspense, and spice. I felt like it had the perfect amount of each. The banter between the Stetson brothers was great. I could listen to those brothers all day. They make the book in my opinion, and I can't wait to read more about them. The pacing of this book was great. I couldn't put this book down. I stayed up late reading, but it was totally worth it! I normally don't like reading books with a bad boy trope, but this one was definitely worth taking a chance on. If you're a fan of Elsie Silver and enjoy small town/cowboy romances you'll enjoy reading Trouble by Jess Bryson.
Add Trouble by Jess Bryson to your TBR now! As Always, check for trigger warnings before reading! Thank you Luna Literary and Jess Bryson for this ARC!
Thank you Jess Bryson and Luna Literary for this ARC of Trouble‼️
This book had me. Triston “Trouble” had the best yet worst meet cute with Sawyer, who shows up back in her small town with hardly any notice after getting a call/plea from her brother to come home to talk with their dad and help out with the ranch, only to be groped by a bull riding cowboy who thinks he is meeting up with a girl for a quick hook up.
These two fight their attraction, give and take with the top notch banter and oh the sass! Sawyer knows he’s her brother’s best friend and that she’s heading back to the city, soon?
But the kiss, and then the other kiss and the touching and then the more, but not all 😏 this was the slowest burn but with all the delicious tension that these two were fighting was perfection! But it was SO realistic! She’s fighting the pull because Trouble is known for hooking up with every girl, and he is fighting his attraction to her since she is his best friend’s sister!
The sweetest thing, she is the only one to call him by his name, Tristan, and he goes absolutely cave man when she does it!
His declaration had terrible timing, and so did hers but they got there with no drama on their part but in the midst of a feud that had been escalating into something that was building in the background of the story.

I would categorized as a slow burn. There is some kissing and a little bit of touching but after the small coat closet scene you will need to take a cold shower. Edging like no other. I have to say this was a great start to a new series. Enough character building without being too much. I’m hooked and can’t wait for the other brother’s books. You won’t guess who done it!!!
Sawyer: a woman pushing her older brother‘s best friend to the point he is going to snap. In the best way 🫣. She’s coming from the big city after her boyfriend cheated on her.
Trouble: a man just trying to stay away from his best friends‘s little sister someone that will do anything for a family and friends. Also likes to give mustache rides. Never going to settle down.
I finished this book within 12hrs. It had me hooked.
Thank you Jess Bryson and Luna Literary Management for an early copy. Above are my thoughts.
I seriously could not put this book down. This story follows Sawyer, a girl who went to the big city to make her dreams come true of being a real estate agent only to be cheated on by her boyfriend with his assistant. BARF. After a phone call from Knox, Sawyer's older brother, Sawyer finds herself back in her hometown and starts out with a bang! Sawyer's whole mission is to help her dad sell his ranch that is falling apart. We meet the Stetson brothers. A bunch of rowdy, flirty bull riders who happen to be friends with Knox. The moment Sawyer meets "Trouble" is dynamic. Their chemistry is electric and their banter is top notch. With their relationship in secret, a storm is brewing between the Stetsons and the Kennedys. With one close call involving Mama Stetson, the brothers are on high alert. These brothers are all such characters and their nicknames are very fitting. They definitely add such much humor to the story and me giggling in my seat. There is a lot of silent screaming and giggling when the heat turns up! Towards the end, we get a lot of action and drama and so many emotions. It had me at the edge of my seat reading every word! I am so glad by the end, Sawyer and Trouble had their happy ending even though it was so emotional. AND CAN WE TAKE ABOUT THAT CLIFFHANGER? I was going to read whatever came next, but after that ending...let's just say I will be stalking Jess's socials for any updates!!
I absolutely devoured this book. Cowboys + small town romance + a genuinely solid FMC That combination alone had me sold, but together they created an absolute masterpiece. The writing was so immersive and addictive that I got hooked almost instantly I couldn’t put it down once I started. The nicknames? So freaking cool. I’ll admit it took me a little time to sort out who was who, but once everything clicked, it was pure perfection. And Trouble. oh my god. I loved him. His witty responses, his charm, his entire vibe just worked so well, and every scene with him had me smiling. Sawyer, though? She completely stole my heart. She’s such a badass FMC, strong, sharp, and unapologetically herself and the way she held her own was just chef’s kiss. Their dynamic felt natural, fun, and emotionally satisfying, and the small town cowboy setting only made it better. Every interaction added depth, and the romance built in a way that felt earned rather than rushed. And that ending??? Absolutely criminal. I need the next book right now because there is no way I’m surviving the wait after that. This story had everything I wanted and more, and I’m already counting down until I can jump back into this world again.
I like my cowboys mixed with a dark edge, what can I say? Add in a dash of forbidden with brother's best friend? I. Am. Salivating.
I've been intrigued by Trouble since Jess started promoting it. I frequently read cowboy romances, but rarely get the chance to read one that has dark aspects. However, this one scratched an itch in my brain that I did not know I had. The spice is spicin'. But their banter? That is what made me fall in love with them. While everyone is either in love with or scared of Trouble, Sawyer makes sure to push all of his buttons before she ends up tripping over herself and falling for him. I love an FMC that is feisty!
Another aspect I really loved about this book was the dialect switching between the two POVs. You very much got the Southern dialect when you were inside Trouble's head. And it was much cleaner and "city" when it was Sawyers turn. This definitely helped suck me into the story as I could hear both of the characters.
Overall this was a super fast read for me and absolutely cannot wait to get the rest of the brother's stories. Highly recommend if you want a cowboy romance with a dark edge, like brother's best friend, and if the whole touch her and perish appeals to you....because baaaaaaybeeeeeee.
I absolutely love this book! I could not put it down. Had me hooked right from the beginning.
Sawyer decides after some coaxing from her brother Knox to come back home to Tennessee and try to convince their dad to do something with the property he has. Sawyer goes but she says only temporary. After being cheated on, she needed a break. While she is there, she goes to see her brother who is a bull rider and encounters Trouble.
The Stetson brothers all have nicknames and Trouble sure does live up to his. He is a bull rider and has no intention on settling down. When he encounters Sawyer, he is definitely intrigued but when he finds out she's his best friend's sister, he knows he can't go there with her.
There is thi pull between the two of them that neither can deny. There is also some kind of war going on between the Stetson brothers and another group of brothers. So much happens in this book and I swear it is going to have you hooked too. Read this. Can't wait for more books in this series!
This book has it all! 📚 spicy motorcycle scene 📚 cowboy hat (iykyk) 📚 brothers best friend 📚 “good girl”
And so much more 😍 Trouble & Sawyer are absolutely perfect together. She made him want to settle down and change his playboy ways. He’s just an overprotective cowboy and she’s a country at heart city girl. Having grown up in Weston, Sawyer is more country than she thinks and it only takes a few days back home to make her remember where she’s from. Trouble would burn the world down to protect Sawyer. It starts out as him protecting her as his best friend’s little sister, but it turns into so much more than that. He knows she’s off limits and tries to stay good and not cross that boundary, but when Sawyer cashes in a dare, all bets are off. Towards the end of the book there’s a really suspenseful part that was actually making me hold my breath. A couple tears may have (definitely) been shed 🥺
This book does end on a cliffhanger where we meet the FMC for the next book that I cannot wait for!
Arc Review 4.5⭐ First off I would like to thank Luna Literary & Jess for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Sawyer & Trouble OMG. I absolutely adore this book. I loved everything about her and my favorite was that Sawyer was sassy and witty & had this take no crap attitude! I love a good women with a strong backbone and ain't afraid to be herself and just accept it all. I love Trouble so much. That man can't do anything wrong. I absolutely love that he knew who he was and didn't hide it & wasn't afraid to do the hard work and to do what it takes to keep his family safe at all cost. I love how he pushed Sawyer buttons to get a reaction out of her while she pushed right back at him. Watching these two grow close and vulnerable with each other was so good. Also they banter and chemistry is top notch.
5/5 recommend this book. This is my first book by Jess and I absolutely loved her. I can't wait for the next book in this series and the fact they are all brothers with a rough edge is so my cup of coffee (I don't drink tea 😂)
What an absolute gem of a book! Trouble had me hooked from the very first page. Jess Bryson delivers a romance that’s equal parts fun, flirty, and heartfelt. The banter between the main characters is everything—sharp, clever, and full of chemistry that practically crackles. It’s the kind of dialogue that makes you laugh out loud and keeps you eagerly flipping pages just to see what they’ll say next. I loved reading the barbs they were flinging at each other!
The characters themselves are wonderfully layered. Both leads feel real and relatable, with strengths and flaws that make their journey compelling. The tension between them is perfectly paced—never rushed, never dragged—and when those emotional moments hit, they hit hard. Bryson strikes a great balance between humor and vulnerability, making this story not just entertaining but deeply satisfying.
If you love romance with witty exchanges, sizzling chemistry, and a storyline that keeps you smiling while tugging at your heartstrings, Trouble is a must-read. Jess Bryson has definitely earned a spot on my favorites list!
