Christmas Ghosts & Grumpy: A Sweet Small Town Holly Jolly Romance

Rate this book
When ambitious city girl Emma Lane is forced to return home to Redbud Ridge just before Christmas, she expects small-town boredom—not a mysterious letter predicting ghostly visitors.

But after three eerie, dream-like encounters—Past, Present, and Yet to Come—Emma finds herself reliving the holiday moments she left behind.

Including the one person she can’t stop seeing in every Noah Parker, her childhood best friend and the boy-next-door she never really stopped loving.

Now, with her big-city career on the line and a second chance at the Christmas she didn’t know she needed, Emma must return to the life that looks perfect on paper— or finally follow her heart home.

Christmas Ghosts & Grumpy is a funny, ghost-kissed holiday romance filled with laughter, nostalgia, and snow-covered second chances. It is part of the & Grumpy – Redbud Ridge series that offers sweet, clean & wholesome (kisses only!) romance set in a small town when even the grumpiest hearts can learn to love again.

Emma Lane comes home for Christmas for the first time in years. She is there for work, to finish a development project. Seeing Noah Parker is awkward, but soon they are back to being comfortable with each other. Her mother hands her a letter that came for her. When she opens it, she reads that she will have three visitors. The first night, she sees her childhood Christmas memories. The second night, she is shown the present Christmas. The third night, she sees herself in Austin, older, colder, and all alone. She sees her hometown in a very different way. When she wakes, her boss is saying if she's not going to Dallas by morning, the job will go to someone else and the promotion as well. She is unsure what to do. But as she participated in the town festival, dances with Noah, her decision is made. Her decision gives her peace she hasn't felt in years. This is a sweet version of the Christmas Carol that reevaluated what success really looks like. I really enjoyed this book.
