Hmmm, idk how to feel about this book tbh. Things moved too quickly for my liking, and I feel like it shouldn't be like that.
I didn't end up warming up to Victor, although I could see why some readers might find him appealing. It's probably a me issue, but I've never been a fan of cold MMCs, especially when they act like that even with the FMC. He only changed his ways when he lost her, and she came back.
As for Melody, for someone who says she doesn't trust anyone since she can't remember anything, she sure as heck trusted Victor right away. Idk, I guess I was hoping to see some hesitation from her, but nope, he just charged right in, and she gave in so quickly.
Well, the plot mainly revolved around finding out who took her, and usually I like this kind of plot, but for some reason it just didn't click with me. Or maybe I'm not in the right mood when I read this? Dunno.
Anyway, it was okay, but I wasn't invested in it as much as I'd hoped. Also, like I said, the MMD didn't do it for me, and the FMC came off as a bit of a pushover. While this didn't work for me, I'm sure it'll be someone else's cup of tea.

Cynthia Eden has done it again!
A fast paced romantic suspense with Amnesia, second chance, some action, mystery, all the holiday cheers and an utterly obsessed hero.
One moment Melody Mage was everything that’s good in Victor’s life and in the next, she vanishes without any trace. For one year, he searches and yearns for her but to no avail. Just when he’s loosing hope, Melody’s suddenly back but she isn’t the same girl as she was 1 year ago.
Victor is the epitome of morally grey and obsessed hero. He is aloof, cold and so gone for Melody. They are kinda opposite attract. She is the sunshine to his grumpy self. Melody is an heiress and Victor comes from nothing and made a name for himself. I enjoyed how Victor’s past was revealed slowly, throughout the book.
I did miss the classic dry humour and found family vibes that this author effortlessly weaves in her books a little but Victor and Melody’s love was more than enough.
Loved the holiday vibes in this book.
-Romantic suspense.
-Amnesia.
-Second Chance.
-He is obsessed and he yearns hard.
-Safe, no ow drama, TW.

It was entertaining and as expected from this author. You have a h who’s soft, but also fighting for herself (in this case because something terrible happened to her) and a possessive H who’s kinda cold but burning with passion for her only. Red herrings galore on the mystery and some twists occasionally tossed in. But it all comes together so the characters can live their HEA. This inclusion in the series has amnesia as a trope however, which adds an interesting layer. Some holiday theming, but the focus is on who’s out to kill the h.
Written in third person, multi-POV (including possible villains). No ow/om drama and both are experienced. The h disappeared a year prior and did go on a couple dates while not remembering who she was, only exchanging a kiss. The H was celibate and had no interest in anyone else.
Some tropes/themes:
☆ Both mains are wealthy
☆ MMC came from nothing though
☆ Secret relationship (you know in the prologue)
☆ FMC is attacked and suffers amnesia
☆ Family secrets
☆ Unknown attackers
☆ Drama llamas
☆ Growly MMC who’s in hyper-protective mode
☆ FMC who doesn’t know who to trust cause she can’t remember
☆ Slow reveals
I tried really hard not to poke holes in places. I do think that it’s important to note how the H comes across about their relationship in the prologue isn’t how he is in the rest of the book. He’s very clear on how he feels about her. Also, as the H is describing some of the things they did together or the h was looking at a photo of them, it also felt like he was more blatantly caring towards her than the prologue scene too. It was a lil confusing for me.
On the h’s end, I don’t know why she thought researching how wealthy people present themselves online would give her as valuable insight as she did. The surface barely touches these dynamics and the h’s initial plan came across as absurd to me. I did like how she didn’t fight the H and she did feel like she could trust him almost right away.
I wish the steam had started a little later and perhaps built up some more tension, maybe allowed more memories to come back. But it’s good steam. The h questioned their relationship somewhat, but only had a couple big moments of doubting the H. Who wasn’t letting her get away again anyway, if you don’t like that vibe in your MMCs, you won’t like this. He also makes sure she's protected without him too.
The side characters are primarily suspects, with a couple exceptions who were likable. The rep from the Ice Breaker team was great and a couple of the bodyguards were fun. The h's defacto dad was one I actually wanted more of because of how much emotion he conveyed in his scenes. I also wish Memphis from one of the prior books had actually been on page because his book was a favorite of mine.
The climax is wild, all the action flying everywhere. Then the H and h are safe and can go forth into the sunset of their HEA. More people to come on to the cold case team as well, for potential cameos in future books. Probably not going to be one of this author’s books that I reread, still a fun ride.

Holy jingle bells, this book knocked the tinsel right off my tree!
Ms. Eden always delivers the perfect blend of suspense and steam, but this one hit on a whole new level for me. I’m always excited when her Christmas book drops, it’s honestly a highlight of my season, but this one gave me even more than I was expecting. Melody and Victor had so much heart, and their story completely broke mine. I needed them to uncover the truth and earn that Christmas tree moment I was craving, but in true Eden fashion, they had to fight through danger, heartbreak, and the full intensity of their desire to get there.
The tension was addictive, the mystery surrounding Melody had me hooked, and the introduction of new characters had me crossing my fingers that we’d see them again. By the time I reached the end, I was an absolute tangle of holiday lights, emotionally wrecked but grinning, because that hard-won happily ever after was everything I wanted. This book is thrilling, tender, and pure Cynthia Eden magic.

This is such a fantastic book and I was hooked from page one. Victor searched hard for a year, searching for Melody. She disappeared a year ago and she just shows back up. Loved his possessiveness and how he’ll do anything to keep her safe. Who hurt and kidnapped her? Loved being shocked by the plot. Had some happy tears in their happy ever after and loved how they decide to join the Ice Breakers. This book is worth re reading. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

Last year at Christmas time, Melody Mage disappeared. She was rich and everyone thought she was dead except for Victor Alexander. Melody was kidnapped and then left for dead. She wakes up in a hospital and doesn’t remember anything. But little by little her memories start to return and she heads back to her family. One year since she disappeared Melody reappears and throws everyone into a tizzy. She still doesn’t remember who hurt her but she knows it’s not Victor. Melody and Victor were having a secret affair and he had just asked her to marry him when she disappeared. Victor got the Ice Breakers to help locate her because he would never stop looking for her. Victor had a rough childhood and worked his way to the top of Mage Industries. When Melody knocks on the door, he does not plan to let her out of his sight. But someone out there is determined to finish the job they started. Can they figure out who it is before it’s too late?
This is my favorite holiday book I have read. Action. Secrets. Twists and turns. Steamy. This will keep you on the edge of your seat. Be prepared to be shocked.

Ceci est ma première romance de Noël de l’année et un énorme coup de coeur × Normalement, je m’étais promis de ne pas commencer les romances de Noël avant fin novembre mais quand j’ai reçu l’ARC, je n’ai TELLEMENT pas pu résister ×
La série Ice Breaker Cold Case fait partie de mes favoris et ce tome ne fait pas exception ! J’ai beaucoup aimé ce mélange d’ambiance Noël magique et tension flippante × J’ai adoré le fait que Melody soit si courageuse face à toutes les menaces qui l’entourent et ses doutes et j’ai ABSOLUMENT adoré Victor qui est un personnage si complexe bien loin du cliché du milliardaire et surtout j’ai particulièrement adoré le fait qu’il soit complètement et irrémédiablement fou de Melody <3 (le fait qu’il veuille lui offrir un Noël magique tout comme elle l’avait fait dans le passé … J’adore <3)
L’intrigue était très tordue et pleine de tensions et de rebondissements et j’avoue que, même si j’ai eu quelques doutes sur l’identité du coupable, je ne m’attendais pas à toutes les révélations et j’ai adoré tous les rebondissements liés à l’amnésie !
Mention spéciale pour Hunter, il me faut tellement un tome avec lui ><

A Christmas romance I DEVOURED !!
This is my first Christmas romance of the year and a huge favorite ! I normally promised myself I wouldn't start any Christmas romances until the end of November, but when I received the ARC, I just couldn't resist !
The Ice Breaker Cold Case series is one of my favorites, and this book is no exception ! I really enjoyed this mixture of magical Christmas atmosphere and chilling tension >< I loved how brave Melody was in the face of all the threats surrounding her and her doubts, and I absolutely adored Victor, who is such a complex character, far from the billionaire cliché. Above all, I particularly loved that he was completely and irrevocably crazy about Melody <3 (the fact that he wanted to give her a magical Christmas just like she had in the past … I love it <3)
The plot was very twisted and full of tension and twists, and I admit that, even though I had some doubts about the culprit's identity, I wasn't expecting all the revelations, and I loved all the twists related to the amnesia !
Special mention for Hunter, I absolutely need a book with him ><
In short, a sexy and suspenseful Christmas romance full of twists and turns that I thoroughly enjoyed reading ! For fans of Christmas romance with a touch of thriller, I highly recommend it !

Ceci est ma première romance de Noël de l’année et un énorme coup de coeur × Normalement, je m’étais promis de ne pas commencer les romances de Noël avant fin novembre mais quand j’ai reçu l’ARC, je n’ai TELLEMENT pas pu résister ×
La série Ice Breaker Cold Case fait partie de mes favoris et ce tome ne fait pas exception ! J’ai beaucoup aimé ce mélange d’ambiance Noël magique et tension flippante × J’ai adoré le fait que Melody soit si courageuse face à toutes les menaces qui l’entourent et ses doutes et j’ai ABSOLUMENT adoré Victor qui est un personnage si complexe bien loin du cliché du milliardaire et surtout j’ai particulièrement adoré le fait qu’il soit complètement et irrémédiablement fou de Melody <3 (le fait qu’il veuille lui offrir un Noël magique tout comme elle l’avait fait dans le passé … J’adore <3)
L’intrigue était très tordue et pleine de tensions et de rebondissements et j’avoue que, même si j’ai eu quelques doutes sur l’identité du coupable, je ne m’attendais pas à toutes les révélations et j’ai adoré tous les rebondissements liés à l’amnésie !
Mention spéciale pour Hunter, il me faut tellement un tome avec lui ><

Ice Cold Christmas isn't your usual Christmas story. It's better. As a romance reader I love holiday stories and even though this one's not a small-town romance it's still has enough holiday in it to be a holiday story.
I will say that this hero and heroine have both gone through it. This is a fantastic story that makes me mad at times. I so badly wanted to hurt her family and the person who hurt her. She is so much more than what people see, and I love that about Cynthia Eden's characters. Often, you'll find that they have layers to them.
Ice Cold Christmas is nonstop suspense. You spend so much of the book wondering who to trust including the hero of the story. At times you're pushed to wonder if he really does love her but then you learn.
Both Victor and Melody must figure out what is going on before Melody finds herself dead. I liked how much Melody trusted Victor even when she had no guarantee that he was on her side. Melody is a very story woman who comes back from something terrible.
These two a meant to be together and you see that as the story progress. You want nothing more than to be on their side and fight with them. I also love Hunter in this story. He cracks me up more than once. He needs his story now. I'm sure you'll enjoy this great holiday story.

Another fascinating and thrilling mystery for the Ice Breakers! Melody Mage and Victor Alexander have a love/lust relationship. They can’t deny the blazing chemistry between them, but when he proposes, is the hot sex between them enough for marriage? Victor will not get a chance to find out as Melody is now missing! He has immense wealth and power, but has been unable to find her, even after hiring several private investigators. The family is shocked when Melody walks into the family home as if she hadn’t been gone for a year. He had no idea that she had been taken, injured and has no complete knowledge of who she is or was. Her father is ill and suffering from dementia as other family members don’t believe that she is Melody. Victor knows that she is and has her fingerprints verified. As she adjusts to being home, sifting through memories that surface, is she finally safe? Victor has a favorite word and uses that word often to express his displeasure when others try to prove that she is a fraud. When attempts are made to finish the job that someone started a year ago, Victor hires security and gets assistance from Ice Breakers Hunter McQueen and Memphis Camden. With her father’s business and his perceived wealth, Victor knows that the battle is not over, a battle he has no intention of losing! I LOVE Christmas—like, unapologetically love it—so when you combine my favourite holiday with one of my favourite Cynthia Eden series (Ice Breakers!), it’s an instant win. Ice Cold Christmas did not disappoint. 🎄✨
Victor and Melody were such a fantastic pairing. I adored their dynamic—her sunshine warmth meets his cold, controlled intensity. Victor being absolutely gone for her? Delicious. Melody fighting to piece together her past and her strength through all the confusion? Loved her.
I’ll be honest: her ending up in Canada made zero sense to me 😂 but I just rolled with it because the story was so fun and fast-paced that I didn’t even care.
And listen… I currently live in Richmond, VA, so seeing my city as the setting absolutely tickled me. I was grinning every time a familiar spot or reference popped up. More romantic suspense set in Richmond, please! ❣️

a wild ride that I loved!
What a wild ride this book was! Action packed, thrilling plot and angsty second chance romance? Yes please!
I really enjoyed the set up here. The plot was intriguing and kept me guessing. There was so much action happening that kept me on my toes too. I thought the red herrings were good and the big reveal had my jaw on the floor. This was very fast paced which made this a great experience.
Melody and Victor’s romance was filled with so much angst and yearning. The way Victor was so happy and protective over Melody made my heart melt. He would do anything for her which is what makes him a great hero. Melody is suffering from amnesia after being attacked and abducted a year ago. I thought the amnesia storyline was well handled. She feels drawn to Victor but doesn’t understand why because she can’t remember their relationship. I liked that they had to build trust and bond again. The romance is very romantic, especially if you like small gestures and protective heroes. Plus the steamy scenes were a fun addition! The whipped cream and the wall scene were 🥵!
A great holiday themed romantic suspense holiday that readers will easily devour!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "ICE COLD CHRISTMAS" Cynthia Eden my first Christmas story so not what I expected it was far & away 100% better keeping you on edge with all the intense suspense filled drama, memory loss, mysterious disapperance you can't put down.
Melody Mage is from a wealthy family who disappeared without a trace approx. a year ago presumed dead.
Victor Alexander was devastated he's CEO of her fathers company he searched to no avail then Melody just shows up at her families estate full of confusion, memories lost except she new she'd been attacked & left for dead, she wants to know who & why it was done & make them pay.
Victor worked with Ice Breakers they do cold cases, he thinks its someone close to Melody maybe even in the immediate family, he was heart broken their relationship was a secret,he'll make sure who did this will pay dearly.
Will Melody remember Victor gave her a ring promising forever, will they find out who hurt her & get their HEA you outdid yourself Cynthia Eden I love it.

I read exactly one Christmas book in 2025 and this guy here was it. I normally don’t go seeking Christmas books because working in retail for over a decade ruined whatever warm fuzzies I had for Christmas growing up. Cynthia Eden however served up yet another fantastic romantic suspense and was able to make it a Christmas read to boot!
Our heroine went missing a year ago. This year days away from Christmas she shows up on her family’s door step with absolutely no memory of who she was and definitely no memory of the man she was in a secret relationship with. Her goal is to recover her life and find out exactly what happened to her a year ago. Now that our hero has her back he is never letting her go and will do anything to make sure she is safe.
Cynthia Eden is a must read author for me, her alpha heroes who are always at least a little obsessed and the feisty heroines sucker me in every time. Once again she delivers a fantastic romantic suspense that had me not wanting to put the book down.

Ice Cold Christmas is the fifteenth book in this suspenseful Ice Breaker Cold Case Series. This time Cynthia Eden has changed things up because the victim has decided that she will solve her own cold case. Having been attacked and left for dead one year ago, Melody Mage’s memories are confused but she is now going to get to the bottom of what happened and catch who is guilty. Good for this gutsy woman, because she doesn’t know when this started if this was an intentional personal attack or random and now more women could also have this happen to them.
Victor Alexander, CEO of her father’s company, is not going to stand by while Melody does this alone. Two determined, powerful and risk-taking individuals work together on this mission, though Victor hopes Melody will remember that they were engaged before the attack. This was a great addition to the Ice Breaker series. This one was a little different because it is a Christmas themed romantic suspense, with an amnesia twist.
Melody Mage was everything to Victor, in one moment she vanishes without a trace. He searches for one year and is not able to find her. Just when he gives up hope, she suddenly reappears, only she isn’t the same person, and she doesn’t remember him.
Victor is the new CEO of his family’s company, and before Melody disappeared they shared a forbidden love. Now that she is back, her reappearance sparks passion and suspicion. Victor is very protective of her, but he also has secrets that he keeps hidden and at times can be morally gray.
This story was the perfect blend of suspense, romance, and tension. This book can be an addictive page turner, and I loved every minute in their story. I highly recommend this book.

Great holiday second change love story
Wow, what a great story. Cynthia Eden has done it again, this story has everything you could possibly want: danger, mystery, and let’s not forget an alpha man who would burn down the world for the woman he loves. And that man is Victor Alexander. This man has truly risen above the crappy life that he was dealt and made himself into someone special. The love and passion that he has for Melody was beautiful. That poor woman has been through so much, but she has proven that she has grit and determination to get her life back. Watching these two come back together and grow their love again was amazing! This story will keep you on your toes while you try to figure out who the villain is while also cheering on the love between Victor and Melody. I really enjoyed this book and I was happy to see Hunter McQueen play a part in this story. I really, really hope that Cynthia writes a story for him. He needs his own story!

While this book is part of a series, you can jump right into this story. If you're looking for a non-typical Christmas romance to read, this is it. It's more about the mystery than the holiday. Our FMC Melody has been missing for a year when she magically returns. Is she who she says she is? Where was she? She claims she doesn't remember who she is, except for random parts here and there. Victor has been searching all year for her, using any means necessary including calling in the Ice Breakers.
I love how possessive Victor is of Melody and how he never doubts her. Even when she isn't sure of his motives or her own memories, he never wavers. The twists and turns had me hooked. I was totally wrong in who the bad guy was! I thought the pacing was good, the story flowed well and I enjoyed the mystery with a touch of the holiday season.

A Christmas present from Cynthia Eden.
Hot dang! Cynthia Eden delivers us a delicious Christmas present all tied up in an Ice Cold bow. It’s a who done it (which I guessed right away). Melody and Victor just got engaged all steamy and in secret a year ago, a week before Christmas. Then Melody disappeared for a year.
The best present this year is in the form of Victor. He’s all unemotional, analytical but a terminator when it comes to finding and keeping his Melody. In his world, all that matters is Melody. Hot dang! Cynthia Eden delivers us a delicious Christmas present all tied up in an Ice Cold bow. It’s a who done it (which I guessed right away). Melody and Victor just got engaged all steamy and in secret a year ago, a week before Christmas. Then Melody disappeared for a year.
The best present this year is in the form of Victor. He’s all unemotional, analytical but a terminator when it comes to finding and keeping his Melody. In his world, all that matters is Melody. Ice Cold Christmas is a perfect read for the holidays!
I read it in one sitting and will read it again around Christmas time because it’s so good!
Suspenseful right from the start and some twist and turns kept me guessing how it would end.
Hot romance and sparks flying between Victor and Melody!
I’m usually not a big fan of the amnesia trope but this is so well done it didn’t bother me at all and I didn’t even realize it while reading the book because I was so drawn into the story!
Great dialogue and some funny bickering between Victor and Melody and they both really deserved true love!
Another awesome addition to the Ice Breaker Cold Case series!

So the fact that this series is 15 books and counting is wild but as someone who read the first two (and definitely plans on reading books 3-14), each book, despite following a similar mix of mystery and romance, is truly different and unique. The characters themselves and the plot in general varies, making each book interesting - it certainly doesn't feel boring at all. I loved the holiday touch and the enemies to lovers dynamic worked well and kept my interest throughout.
4.5 stars - highly recommend, especially as a holiday read!

Ice Cold Christmas is the 15th book in the series, but can easily be read as a standalone. And what a read this is! Full of danger, mystery and red herrings on the one hand and passionate, no holds barred emotion and devotion on the other - all with a touch of the seasom. The story gripped me from the first to the last word and took me on an adrenaline-filled rollercoaster ride. There are quite a number of surprises along the way and a well-deserved HEA for the couple. I was fortunate to have received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

I love that Cynthia Eden always writes an Christmas book. I love that I got more than a novella this time. And I loved that there was a twist a definitely did NOT see coming.
Melody and Victor were amazing together. Also… I really liked that their love was already established even if Melody didn’t remember. Victor was all in from the first moment and it was sexy as hell.
I do wish we got a little more info about how much Melody remembered by the end. I got the sense she still had huge gaps in her memory. But I also get the feeling we’ll see her again.

Melody and Victor’s story is another roller coaster of suspense, romance and danger. There’s a kidnapping, attempted murder, amnesia and danger- well executed characters with depth and dimension. Eden lays a trail of breadcrumbs and red herrings as the story twists and turns. Our devilishly sarcastic friend Hunter shows up (hoping for his story sometime soon) and the resolution is all one could hope for.

Absolutely loved this book and this fantastic series !!! The writing, characters, romance, mystery and suspense were all top notch amazing with story ending epilogues to match. Highly recommend this book and series and pretty much everything that this author writes.

I enjoyed it. I liked both of the MC’s. I loved how the H only had eyes for the h. He waited on her for a year.

Safe. No ow/OM drama. H only had eyes for h. Nobody else during separation. h did go on a few dates during separation. She lost her memory so she didn’t remember H. Nothing happened on those dates.
