I'm a Scottish writer, now living in Canada, with more than thirty novels published in the genre press and over 300 short story credits in thirteen countries.
My work has appeared in a number of professional anthologies and I have recent short story sales to NATURE Futures and Galaxy's Edge. When I'm not writing I play guitar, drink beer and dream of fortune and glory.
As a storm brews cutting off a small village a beast begins hunting the residents. It’s up to the S-Squad to attempt to stop it, but this time military tactics might not be enough.
This one feels like a step back in quality. There's some good parts with the new lieutenant and Wiggo finding their places on the team and learning to work together. Wilkins is virtually nonexistent in this book. Mac as well until the end when he proves to be useful. There's hardly any action in this book, focusing more on the supernatural. There's a bunch of editing mistakes in the book too that made it really hard to follow. Sentences were jumbled together and paragraphs cut off mid sentence. Not the greatest entry in the series so hopefully the next one is better
Few things in literature please me more than another monstrous S-Squad book. The balance of horror vs the squad is almost always finely judged to keep you reading and on the edge of the seat.
A terrifying legend comes back to life.S-squad team is sent in blind. They meet the huge animal, and have to figure out how to save the town from Being wiped out. A very good story.
A military procedural, with added legendary horror,"Black Schuck". The S-Squad, manages to over come the problem , by using some hidden talent. An enjoyable read , thanks to the fine skills of William Meikle. Loved it!!!!!
Duffield's first command leads the team to a wet Norfolk and the legend of a black dog. Good story that moves at a nice pace, told from different characters view points.
Like the other volumes this was a very good S-Squad book. Like the characters and storyline. Very much like an old style Supernatural X-Files type thriller.
