Utter Trash
First book was interesting but this second one was just trash. It's basically just repeat the first one, the end. All the training and random trails, jumping from training scene to random scene. No hope to impossible escape.
Then you have the MC an utter waste of writing. Already he should have learned to kill his enemies so they don't come back to hurt his friends and people later. Instead this cowards is so scared of being 'good' he'll allow bad people to live on and hurt more people. Every time he 'WINS' he demands surrender or lets them go. Then they just go off to hurt more people making it all the MC's fault for letting them go.
This is like a poor Saturday morning cartoon where the good guy 'wins' by beating up the baddies. Not actually putting any thought into what happens after. What is he batman? Lock up all the bad people so they can escape and do it all again next episode? It's so utterly stupid that I'm done with the series.
Book worthy for 8 year olds, but anyone with the smallest ability to think, will find this laughably stupid.

Solid but needs polish
I thoroughly enjoyed most of this book, as I did the first in the series. This one seems to have a few more errors in terms of typos and whatnot but there aren't so many that it is unbearable. Just odd when they do pop up. Overall a solid, mostly fun read. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the ending seemed really rushed and confusing for me. I can't explain that well without spoilers which I won't do. It was still enjoyable to read, just seemed out of place to me. It felt like the author was just trying to close the storyline and be done.
Still enjoyable though and I'd definitely recommend.

Hold on for a Crazy Ride
Completely different from anything I've ever read world and story building wise. This second book is a fast paced sprint. You almost have to read it in one sitting. I'm almost afraid to read the next installment, but I will.

Wish it was longer.
This story is way too good for it to end so quickly. The pacing is weirdly fast, but I can’t wait for the next one. Hope it gets longer!
