During the summer break of her third year of university, Aoi is interning in management at the Kyoto National Museum when she receives a phone call from Yilin Jing, who found Ensho’s paintings displayed at an art gallery in Hong Kong. What will Kiyotaka and Komatsu find when they fly there in search of the man who disappeared without a trace? And what did Ensho mean by his elusive parting words?
Mai Mochizuki was born and raised in Hokkaido and now lives in Kyoto, and originally wrote Alice in Kyouraku Forest as a series of novels. She's written numerous other titles, including 4th Kyoto Book Award winner Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes which was turned into a manga and anime series.
Once again, Mai Mochizuki delivers another fantastic Holmes of Kyoto story. This one shows our characters discover and learn in new and creative ways, takes us to new and vibrant locations, and wraps up the story arc nicely.
Aoi’s internship at KNM was especially memorable. It makes me kind of wish I could intern there.
I hope the author will write more stories in this series, but if not and maybe even if so, I’ll be interested to explore other series by her.
As happy as ever with the research behind this series, I love it so much! Just because mystery wise there is stronger volumes, it's not a 5 star but it just stays my comfort series. Thanks for continuing with the translation!
