I wake up bound in a winter wonderland with no memory of how I got here. Thousands of Christmas lights illuminate the land around me—a sprawling tree farm transformed into a mystical land of candy. Behind me, footsteps crunch through freshly fallen snow. A voice cuts through the silent night, commanding me to run.
So I do.
Through rows of evergreens wrapped in twinkling lights and past peppermint archways that morph this place into a dark fairy tale. My boots slip on ice as he closes in, his presence everywhere and nowhere at once.
He knows this place. Every path. Every hiding spot.
He knows me—my body's treacherous responses, the dark desires I’ve fought to hide.
When he finally catches me, wrapping me in strings of Christmas lights like I'm a present, I'm forced to confront an impossible the most dangerous games are the ones we've been dying to play all along.
Each book in the Dark Nights Collection CAN be read as a standalone. Please read the content warning prior to diving in.
Dana LeeAnn lives for the dark side of romance—the stalkier, the better. She originally used writing as an outlet to heal herself, but found it addictive, and has never stopped. Her books are packed with suspense and questionable love interests that will leave your heart racing at the turn of every page. When she’s not dreaming up new ways to torture her characters (and readers), she can be found in northern Colorado, exploring the mountains or dragging her husband into a new project around the house.
Zero regrets! I love this novella series and I LIVEEEEEE for the chase. Daddy Luke… may you be replicated thousands of times so all of us ladies can live out our feral and wild dreams being chased.
I will be strapping in for Valentines in the Vineyard and can’t wait to see what Daddy Luke creates next
So this was my ⭐️FIRST EVER ARC⭐️ read and honestly it was a privilege.. I loved this authors last book for Halloween so I knew that I would more than likely love this to and I was right- the story is short but packed full with all the juicy spice 🌶️🌶️ … 10000/10 recommend
Now when i read Pounded in the Patch I wasn’t ready for the plot twist in the end. Reading this felt like just as good if not better. God I love a man that listens😩. I was sat the entire time and it was a short, spicy and quick novella to get you right iykyk.
This was a wicked slow starter, felt super similar to Pounded in the Patch, was predictable, and had repetitive phrasing. I just couldn't get into it and I'm super disappointed. This was an anticipated read this winter/holiday season and I'm sad I couldn't enjoy it more.
This is the first time I have actually written a review so I hope I do ok and I’m happy I was picked for the arc team. It was a quick read but it was pretty good. The detail was great and you could really imagine where they were and what was happening. I do wish there was a little more story to it but I also didn’t realize there was a book before this one so that might be why and I will read that next. I would definitely recommend it if you were looking for a fast read and some good spice 🩵
I liked this book actually finished it in one day, very similar the taken in the Pumpkin patch, a little more predictable but still a great Christmas smut read.
Taken in the Tree Farm is Dana Leeann's latest venture into twisted holiday tales, where holiday cheer, a dash of danger, and dark romance are wrapped up in beautiful paper topped with a carefully crafted bow! As her second book in Luke and Seraphina's story, Leeann doesn't shy away from action and spice. There are definite trigger warnings provided before you get to the story, read them.
How would you react if you woke up, bound and dressed in a sugarplum fairy costume in the middle of a Christmas tree farm sparkling with thousands of twinkling lights? No memory of how she got there, Seraphina knew she needed to escape. Working her way through the trees, she hears the crunch of his boots against the snow. Her only option is to run, and don't look back. Snow-dusted evergreen trees and gingerbread-trimmed traps provide the perfect backdrop for a suspense filled chase, where the line between pursuer and prey are blurred – turning to something dangerous, yet oh-so-yummy!
LeeAnn is all about the spice and chase in this novella. We aren't talking Hallmark Christmas town – unless you know of one with a secret I haven't found yet **wink**. The tree farm isn't just a backdrop, it's a character that is alive with the scent of pine sap and peppermint. Every rustle in the branches could be the wind…or worse. Luke and Seraphina show a raw and primal side- revealing that emotional connection that is deep within them allowing their vulnerabilities to peek through just a smidge.
If you've ever dreamt of being chased as part of role-play games, then this book (and the previous book, Pounded in the Patch) was written with you in mind. But beware, this isn't your grandma’s yuletide yarn - it's a dark and delicious reminder that sometimes the best packages are wrapped in Christmas lights.
Taken in the Tree Farm delivers a sugar-rush of suspense that leaves you panting and pondering just how far you would go for a twisted “happily ever after.” Available on Amazon now!
Thank you to Dana LeeAnn for allowing me to Alpha/Beta/ARC for Taken in the Tree Farm. As always, all opinions and reviews are of my own volition. I have not been promised any compensation, current or future, by the author or publisher for a fair and honest review.
Well! 🔥🔥 another amazing spicy novella by Dana! Girl knows what she’s doing with dark romance and spice with holiday themes! Soo good! Loved Pounded in the Patch, so couldn’t wait for this one. This one did not disappoint either! Since already meeting Luke and Seraphine, the twist was not shocking but loved seeing the sweeter aspect of their relationship as well! Can’t wait for the next one!
At first I wasn't sure this was for me. It was very Stockholm syndrome but then at the end we learn they're married and it was all a consenting game they were playing. Thank fuck lol now if I can get my husband to buy a Christmas tree farm and chase me that'd be great lol kidding maybe.
Full of spice and will leave you on the edge of your seat confused if you would like this or not. The answers yes. ;)

This book was fun, cute, hot! But the only reason why I deduct a star is bc the roleplay is a bit repetitive compared to the last book. I love non-con/dub-con but it really just felt like the same scene minus creep factor. I can’t wait for the next book! ❤️
This was such a smutty cute read to start off December with! Love how it just jumped right into the story and took the reader for a ride! The plot was cute and the smut was spicy! Perfect for a Christmas novella!
Well, Luke and Sera were back with their shenanigans. I mean, Sera is all about the chase and Luke is more than happy to oblige. Then add the Christmas lights for the festive part of the evening? Obviously it was exactly what they both wanted. The only thing is that it was exactly what you would expect after the first book – short, same formula, loads of spice. It was just ok for me, and I know that there is another one planned for Valentine’s Day but honestly, I may not bother. Once I was in the second half, I kept thinking about the other books on my Kindle that I would rather be reading.
Rating – two and a half stars Format – kindle unlimited
"Taken in the Tree Farm" by Dana LeeAnn is a fast-paced dark romance holiday novella that's about 95% spice, 5% plot. If that's something you're interested in, this is the thing for you because wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww, it is NAUGHTY! I was locked in from the very first chapter, and I regret NOTHING. There's not a lot of character development, but there's not really any need for it because it's a cat-and-mouse chase game at heart. The book reads one way (almost dub-c0n) until the 'twist' comes into play. It did keep me in suspense for the most part, but I did also see the 'twist' coming, I'm not sure how, I just had a feeling?? I did not read the first novella in this series, but I'm going to go back and read it now. I also cannot wait for the Valentine's Day novella coming soon!
Thank you to Dana LeeAnn for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.
Taken in the Tree Farm takes place immediately after Pounded in the Patch. Its all about the chase again. But this time the setting is in a Christmas tree farm, with gingerbread village and everything!
This can be read as a standalone but I feel that doing so will ruin the twist in the first book. So personally I suggest reading them in order. Just like the first, I wouldn't classify this as an erotic horror and I feel in doing so will frighten some away. Its more an erotic fiction/dark romance. Its a novella so perfect for squeezing in your already patched holiday TBR or as a palate cleanser. You'll love Seraphine and wish you had your own Luke! Also, unlike many Christmas romances I've read recently this is truely a Christmas story. It is packed full of the holiday and not just a story taking place at Christmas.
“Dark Santa, come to check if she's been naughty or nice.”
I forced myself to push through this one even though I was feeling very confused and frustrated (which remained until like 80% of the way through)! The first portion felt extremely similar to Pounded in the Pumpkin Patch but with a Christmas twist instead of Fall/Halloween.
“We're both laughing, snow falling around us, standing in the middle of the Christmas tree farm where last night I was prey and this morning I'm just the luckiest woman alive.”
I was super annoyed with her throughout the first like 80% cause I was trying to figure out how the hell you don’t notice your husband you literally JUST married… so I stuck through it to see how it ended. I would’ve enjoyed this a lot more if it didn’t have her internal monologue acting for the majority of the book, like literally 8 out of the 10 chapters was WAY too excessive for me... I had high hopes for this one after the previous book, but now I’m not sure if I’ll read the valentines one..

the way i screamed at my phone when i seen that i received this as an ARC, you would think i was a crazy woman 🤣 i loved this book just as much as i loved the first book! The christmas light wrapped around our girl was such a nice touch 😏 i might just want to try it myself🤭
Dana since discovering your books this year, i have not read one that disappointed me at all ! i’m collecting your books like uno cards🤣
i can’t wait for your valentines novella, i just know it’s gonna be good😌🤭❤️
thank you for gifting me an e-ARC in return of a honest review ❤️ i appreciate and adore you and your team so much!
First, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader! I’m so happy that I was picked!
Secondly, I loved this spicy Christmas novella! The details put into describing the tree farm and setting the scene are impeccable. I love when you are able to immerse yourself in the setting because an author describes everything so well. That’s what I look for in books. They are a means to escape reality and Dana really does that with her writing.
I love Seraphina and Luke’s love for each other. The fact that I was able to connect with the characters in two short novellas is another sign of a phenomenal author. I can’t wait for the Valentine’s Day novella! I will be anxiously awaiting it!
Guess who’s back… back… back… back again? My favorite spicy little couple.
Did I devour this bad boy just as fast as the first? Heck YES I did.
This was my second spicy Christmas read this month, and I have zero regrets. Seraphina wakes up once again knowing absolutely nothing, but this time she’s dressed up (well… barely) as a sugarplum fairy. And then… enter DADDY LUKE. God, I missed him. He is precious to me. Do not touch him. Do not look at him wrong. He is perfection.
This man BUILT her a whole tree farm. And then casually added a little sex cottage in the middle of it. As one does. Luke thinks of everything, right down to a first aid kit for after some primal play/chasing. 😏
We love a man who knows his partner, respects boundaries, and still gives you the consensual non-consent fantasy of your dreams. And Seraphina? Vibing right along with his unhinged, delicious energy.
I’m thrilled they’re married, and I cannot wait to see what the next installment gives us. Being on this ARC team again? An honor.
What a fun little novella! If you are looking for a book to put you in the holiday mood and a quick read this is your book! This book had the perfect amount of spice and plot to not make it feel rushed. I enjoyed the plot twist at the end of the book. I think it made this story even sweeter. I will say though the last two chapters I felt like the FMC kept repeating herself about how the whole evening felt for her. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series.
I have zero regrets reading this one! I loved the first one and this one didn't disappoint either. Love the chase and the spice 🔥🥵 We all need a Luke to give in to our demands and desires. My only complaint was that it felt so similar to the first one. If you didn't read that one, you wouldn't realize. She kept saying she didn't know who it was and I was like "wow she is committed to this bit". I know it was acting and staying in character but it felt overdone after the first one. Will I still read the Valentines Vineyard chase ....yes, yes I will.
4.5 ⭐️ I don’t know what it is about these books, but I just love them so much. I enjoy stepping away from heavy plots and just letting my brain enjoy the wild ride. It’s quick and intense. The perfect read for the busy holiday season. I enjoy getting the peek into their newly married life and softer side at the end. It shows the true love and respect they hold for each other. True love is to be seen and understood, and also defiled in a Christmas tree farm. Dana, we’re going to need blue prints and pdf’s on stand by for all the husband’s Christmas gifts this year. 🤣
"I'm going to decorate you and wrap you in lights until you're glowing. And then?" He leans down until his lips brush my ear. "Then I'm going to unwrap you properly and take everything I want."
"Because I take care of what's mine. And you're mine now. Completely."
"Thank you for this. For giving me exactly what I needed." "Always." He leans down, kissing me softly. "Whatever you need, however dark it is, I'll give it to you. That's the promise."
"You deserve to have your fantasies fulfilled exactly the way you imagined them."
Cute little novella! I love the way the smut scenes are written. Can be read as a standalone, even though I knew the characters from the previous book and their history it’s written in a way that you don’t find out until closer to the end. It’s short so there’s really only like 3 spicy scenes. To me it’s not very dark but more of a cute story that is consensually “faux” dark between the characters.
arc review! thanks to the author/publisher. i got the arc for the first one so i was excited to get this one! this was so good and i loved the christmas tree farm. i also liked seeing the characters again. the chase and spice was 🔥. i do think i liked the pumpkin book more. the plot twist hit harder then, but in this one i already knew. still super cute and im dying to read the valentines one!! i’d recommend!
plot ⭐️4/5⭐️ spice 🌶️4/5🌶️ tropes ✔️cnc, primal play, christmas novella, candy land x tree farm✔️
🎄the talent of being able to have such good spice in a novella, while also having a good little plot twist towards the end? i love to see it, what a fun and festive read!
thank you to the author and their team for providing me with this arc, all opinions are my own!
I received an ARC of this Xmas smutty novella and it is such a good quick read if you need a pallette cleanser or just a fun little smutty xmas book. Definitely worth the read and I’m excited to finish the series when the Valentines novella comes out!
We love a man who makes his wife’s fantasies a reality!! 😍🥰
“In the end it doesn’t matter. She won't escape me or what I have planned for her.”
"You look so pretty when you run from me."
This was a fun, super spicy, fast paced read. I loved this just as much as I loved the first book. Seraphina wakes up in a winter wonderland disoriented, dressed as a sugar plum fairy, and tied up. Luke tells her to run, and that’s where the fun begins.
This book was SPICYYYY 🌶️ and it was done so well. In super spicy books it can get repetitive and that wasn’t the case here. Each scene was creative and different. We did have a tiny plot. But let’s be real.. we weren’t here for that. Have I mentioned I loved Luke? He is the definition of “if he wants to, he will.”
This gave us billionaire MMC, primal play, CNC, breath play, and creative use of Christmas lights.
