Overall it was ok. Hasn't been my favorite book thus far on the subject. I had an issue with the fact that Buddhism is about selflessness and love and compassion and I feel like some of the explanations sound "better then tho" or just dont align with the teachings. Overall ok but nothing to write home over.
Really needed a proofreader. Many typos, misspellings, missing words. Covers the basics fairly well, but obviously from a non Buddhist perspective. It reads like a non Buddhist trying to explain the subject to another non Buddhist. Most of the main terms used are not the terms used by Buddhists. I would not suggest this for a beginner or someone that knows nothing.
Through a simplistic approach, the author lays out the fundamentals of Buddhism in an easy to understand way. A great jumping off point for those seeking to know more.
This was a short book on the very basics of Buddhism and the benefits one gets from practicing it. Introduces you to some points of Buddhist belief, but the focus is on why.
