What a great book, full of sunshine, limoncello,food and catching up on the events of 1972.
Tara comes back to Capri as her daughter realises she was the highly sought after shoe model for a world famous poster and the brand has been looking for her and created a competition.
Tara has kept this a secret for 50 years. As she steps back onto Capri with her daughter Hannah she is transported back to her youth. She is recognised and they reminisce. Hannah is swept away by the son of an old friend and is wooed. Tara finds her past catches up with her in ways she never dreamt of.
This was a great book. Perfect beach read.

This is a lovely, uplifting summer read. The setting of Capri is one of the book’s biggest strengths — warm, vivid, and atmospheric. It gives the whole story a gentle glow, making it perfect for holiday reading.
Although the blurb hints at a dual timeline, the book is mostly set in the present, with a few flashbacks to 1972. These glimpses into the past add colour and context, but the heart of the story lies in the modern‑day return to the island.
The characters are nice, well portrayed, and realistic. They’re not overly complex or dramatic, which suits the tone of the book. Their interactions feel natural, and the relationships — romantic, family, and friendship — are handled with a light, pleasant touch.

I thought this book was lovely. It was a little bit romance, a little bit mystery and lots of nostalgia and imagery of the beautiful island of Capri. If you can’t be in Italy this summer, this book is a pretty good substitute…

I just finished reading Seven Days on the Italian Island by Victoria Springfield, and the timing couldn't have been better — I'm actively planning my own trip to the Amalfi Coast next year, including a stop in Capri.
This is a captivating dual-timeline story following Tanya, who fell in love on the island in the 1970s, and her daughter Hannah, whose own crisis draws them both back to confront the past. The setting is wonderfully immersive and brings the island to life — I finished the book with an even longer list of places I now need to see when I get there.

For Tanya, her life changed in 1972 when she spent the summer on Capri and fell in love! I have read a few of Victoria's books and really liked them. This one I wasn't so enamoured about. I felt the story was a bit wishy washy and I didn't like most of the characters. However it did make me want to go to Capri as she really brought the island to life.
When the Tellini Fashion house returns to the island of Capri to put on an anniversary fashion show, they start looking for the mysterious woman who accidently tripped into Gianni's famous photograph. They wish to make her the guest of honour at the event, but Tanya has been keeping the secret that it was her since she left the island in the 70's but her daughter Hannah finds out and tells her about the Tellini's quest. Even though Tanya does not want to return to Capri, 50 years later, she agrees so her daughter can experience the fashion show. With lots of secrets and lost lives the story is placed around the 7 days they are on the island.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Capri, this is a heartfelt story of love, family, second chances and the lingering impact of secrets left buried for far too long. Although the story unfolds at a gentle pace, it never once feels slow. I was completely absorbed by the mystery surrounding the events of the summer of 1972, with each chapter revealing another piece of the truth. I genuinely had no idea how everything would come together, and that kept me turning the pages long into the night.

I really enjoyed Victoria Springfield’s latest novel - set on the beautiful island of capri. It is a dual timeline book, mostly set in the present day but flashing back to a halcyon summer of 1972, where Tanya arrives on the island, falls in love and gets mixed up with the glamorous fashion family the Tellinis. She leaves the island after a terrible accident.
Flashing forward to the present day, Tanya and her daughter return to the island as guests of the Tellinis when Tanya finally admits she is the mysterious girl in a picture that made the fashion house skyrocket to fame. However the past still lurks beneath a shroud of mystery that must be brought into the light.
I loved all the descriptions of Capri and really enjoyed the cast of characters. Perfect reading while I’ve been travelling in Italy this summer! Would definitely recommend this as a holiday novel, full of sunshine and romance. Read with a limoncello spritz on the side! Many thanks for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nobody does fiction literature set in Italy quite like Victoria Springfield! This is now the third book of hers I'm lucky enough to review before publication and I simply cannot get enough! (Thanks for Boldwood Books and Netgalley for entrusting me with this task again.)
As an Italian, I feel as Victoria's research is absolutely top notch and this time she proved herself once again.
The story is set in Capri, lovely location for a summer novel, but the detail the whole book develops around, Capri's fashion and the famous Capri sandal, is such a gem, kind of niche but winning nonetheless, at least in my opinion.
Seven Days on the Italian Island has it all, a bit of romance, that unique Italian vibe brought to us by perfect descriptions of flavours, colours, scents; Italian fashion history, family drama and some unexpected twists typical of Victoria's novels but still never predictable.

A fun escapist novel filled with family drama and fashion. In the lead up to their 100th anniversary of their luxurious fashion brand, the Tellini family offer an all expenses paid trip to Capri and front row seats to their fashion show to the unidentified model in an iconic photo taken by son Gianni, who was tragically killed in accident shortly after it was taken. Tanya who has been keeping her identity secret reluctantly takes the prize and brings along her daughter Hannah, a fashion lecturer who is newly divorced.
Set on the island of Capri, I felt myself transported there and enjoyed my trip to the luxury villas and delicious food descriptions. It enjoyed getting to know Tanya, Hannah and all the different members of the Tellini family, their secrets and hearing about their family curse. The fashion show complete with small family rival brand brought a touch of glamour. The muster of what happened to Gianni and how Tanya was involved kept the pages turning. A perfect beach read.

Another gorgeous dual timeline story from Victoria Springfield, this time set on the island of Capri.
You have a famous fashion house, Tellini, celebrating their centenary, and a hunt for a mysterious woman who became infamous as she accidentally gate-crashed a photo that became an iconic print.
That woman is Tanya, who really doesn't want to be associated with the fashion house, the photo, or the island. However, a little persuasion from her daughter, who discovers the truth, leads her back to the island of Capri, a place where she experienced genuine friendship, true love, and tragedy.
What can I say?
Well, I want to visit Capri now. I always find myself wanting to visit where Victoria sets her books!
And I do love a multiple POV story, which this is, 100%, as well as being a dual timeline.
There is a second-chance romance, as well as mystery and intrigue, on top of more romance in unexpected areas.
I raced through this story and cannot wait for another book from the author!

That woman is Tanya, who really doesn't want to be associated with the fashion house, the photo, or the island. However, a little persuasion from her daughter, who discovers the truth, leads her back to the island of Capri, a place where she experienced genuine friendship, true love, and tragedy.
What can I say?
Well, I want to visit Capri now. I always find myself wanting to visit where Victoria sets her books!
And I do love a multiple POV story, which this is, 100%, as well as being a dual timeline.
There is a second-chance romance, as well as mystery and intrigue, on top of more romance in unexpected areas.
I raced through this story and cannot wait for another book from the author!

This was such a unique and interesting story. Back in 1972, Tanya unexpectedly is featured in a photo that has since become an iconic moment. Shortly after the picture was taken, the photographer, the son of a fashion family, passes.
Now the fashion house is approaching its 100th anniversary and the family wants to find the mysterious woman in the photo to bring to Capri as a publicity event. Tanya reluctantly accepts at the behest of her daughter Hannah. There is a reason that Tanya left Capril all those years ago and why she doesn't want to return now.... and the journey to find those answers makes for a compelling read.
The one thing I liked most about this book is the stunning descriptions of Capri. I've never been there myself, but could almost feel like I had been transported. This is a perfect beach read!!

In 7 days alot can happen. Tanya and her daughter are bought back to the island of Capri because of a photo taken back in the 70s. Once there for Tanya memories take over as she remembers her first love Enrico and several dramas unfold due to the events that happened on the island back in the 70s when she was last there. This was a fast paced novel with lots of mystery and suspense with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed reading this very much and got very involved with the characters and their problems.

A lovely read set on beautiful Capri, the Tellini family have returned to do a fashion show, but with the twists and turns you find out what the island means to them. They are searching for a girl in a photo that they took, but Tanya who’s the girl doesn’t really want to go back, why you may ask? Read this stunning setting book and you’ll find out. The author describes the island lovely and you feel like you’re on the island. A great beach read. 4.5 stars. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for a copy.

The Isle of Capri is evocatively captured in this romantic tale. There are family secrets, mystery and lost love. It's easy to follow, and the characters are relatable. It authentically balances nostalgia, humour, poignancy, and romance, drawing the reader into the characters' lives. I like the vivid setting, the secrets and the vibrant characters.

Oh what a lovely story!
I'm not normally one for many characters as I find them hard to follow, but even with the many in this, I managed to keep up as it was so well written.
This is not my first Victoria Springfield novel, and I will always read her works. Her descriptive language and the way she builds a picture in your mind of Italy, is fascinating. Especially as I've never been, but I can picture the scenery she describes clear as day because of her clever words.
I fell the first 75% of this book was perfect, but it did fall a bit short for me in the last quarter. Maybe it was because we had heard so much of Hannah's story, then she seemed to disappear? Or big events discussed through the story are glossed over with the characters discussing the previous evening in a few words, rather than the story of the evening being told in the present. Mysteries discussed throughout the book are also rounded up in a couple of sentences.
I have no disappointment behind the story as a whole, the plot was fantastic. I guess I just feel I needed more from every character arc before the story ended. It still does not stop me from giving the book 5* though!
