Chaos: A Dark MMF Why Choose Romance

Rate this book
She thought the cabin would save her. She didn’t know the devils were waiting inside.

My car skids off an icy mountain road in the middle of nowhere. The blizzard is getting worse. Terrified and freezing, I climb until I reach the only cabin in sight.

When the door opens, my blood runs cold. Inside are the two men who ruined me.

Brad—my ruthless older, filthy rich, and built from secrets and sins.
Damon—the high-school bully who lived for my tears.

One is hot and cold.
The other is pure psycho.
Both are hell.

Now I’m trapped with two beautiful monsters, cut off from the world for days.
Running isn’t an option.
Resisting them isn’t, either.

Because the storm outside is nothing compared to the one inside this cabin… and inside me.

Will I escape this place alive?
Or will they tear me apart until there’s nothing left to save?

This book was a bit out of my normal comfort for genre read but I wanted to give it a chance and glad I did.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The author did a really good job with pace and details of the past as it played to the tension built amongst the 3 main characters. It is just my type of spice level but might not be for everyone. It definitely left me wanting more info at the end of each chapter.

Felt a lot of emotions through out this story. the struggles of their childhoods, the love that Carina still has for her ex even after 3 years, all the hurt from her bully, since I experienced be bullied since I was very young and still live with the emotional scares to this day. The humiliations, the darkness and wanting to help bring the couple back together while trying to walk away, I felt all the emotions. Kind of wish we got a look some years or so into their future to see if they stayed together and if there were any children since all her encounters were raw.
Brad/Carina, Damon virgin with a female/Carina, Brad/Damon, M/F/M

Taking place in Newfoundland Canada with a blizzard making travel impossible add that to a car that quits, making Carina either think to stay in her broken car or dare the blizzard to find help.
She went to find help from a cottage near where her car broke down but what is on the other side of the door will change her life either for the bad or the good depending on how it plays out. Damon is the first face she sees. he tormented her all through out their high school years, she never did a thing to him but he made her life one long winded hell outside of the hell of her home life, a daughter being placed in the middle of her troubled parents, one was a cheating husband. The other was Brad, her ex from 3 years prior who didn't even break up with her but ran away when things got a bit much for him, and she never saw him again. The only man she loved and broken her. Turns out her ex is now into guys. Her nightmares will become her struggles and depression will cause her to think about death and accepting of him but also feels like all the struggles of Brad and Damon are having is her fault and will make her want to leave so they can be the loving couple before she reentered their lives...

Brad, crypto billionaire, has a habit of running when things get tough, he ran away from Carina several times and welcomes him back each time, the only time she didn't was when he locked her in his apartment. He's possessive with who he loves, grew up in a broken home with an abusive father and a hovering mother. With Damon he's the same way, runs when it gets rough and comes back and Damon is there when he comes back. With Carina back in his life, he needs her back beside him since he never lost his love for her but sees his boyfriend hating on his ex and don't know if he can have his two loves even share the same space without war happening....

Damon, Brad's bodyguard, had parents, but a car crash took them so his grandmother raised him until death claimed her than his life was in foster care and a family that through church and whippings can beat the gay out of him. Knew and loved hurting Carina baby, in school and never had doubts about the abuse he inflicted on her and seeing her again and finding out she was his boyfriend's ex girlfriend added a new mission to his game of hurting Carina even with Brad around. He hates Carina so much because she is the only woman who made him question his sexuality, no other female turned his head but her and that's why he hates her until he has a taste of his first and only female...

Snowed In with Potential

Alright Besties… let me spill it real quick. "Chaos" had all the right ingredients: forced proximity in a snowed-in cabin, a why-choose setup with Brad the broody billionaire and Damon the unhing€d bully, and enough “uhhh should I be turned on right now?” moments to keep me entertained. The tension was there, the bones of the story? Solid. The potential? Undeniable. Buuuut… it didn’t quite hit the emotional punch I was hoping for. The character dynamics between Carina, Brad, and Damon felt a bit stiff, and for something marketed as dark, this landed on a much milder side of the spectrum for me.

Still, the plot kept me turning pages, and the dynamics had flashes of intensity I wanted more of. So yeah... worth a read for the tropes, just go in expecting light-dark.

My Ratings:  ⭐ 3.5/5  ▪︎  🥵 3/5

This was a fast easy-to-read why choose romance. There were many aspects of the story that I liked but I had a difficult time forming any sort of connection to the FMC. I would classify this book on the lighter end of the dark romance spectrum. The MCs Carina, Damon, and Brad have interesting back stories that connect them.

I had higher hopes for the plot but it still kept me interested and turning pages. I definitely liked both MMCs most but the dynamics between the 3 MCs worked well together.

Overall I liked the premise of being snowed in with your ex and HS bully and of course, they were both hot.

Tropes:
Why Choose
Forced proximity
Enemies-to-lovers
Age-gap 23/28
Kink

The thing I like about the personalities in this book is the fact they are not perfect, in fact they are far from being perfect. Carina has self doubt and she wants things that she shouldn’t want and is indecisive about her feelings. Damon has feelings about Carina that he doesn’t want and doesn’t know how the handle them, whilst Brad is a compulsive controller and doesn’t see that what is does is wrong. When you put those three personalities in a cabin in a major snowstorm, feelings spark, arguments are intense and feelings boil over.
This is a super read that kept me obsessed until the final page. This is the first bookI have read by this author and I guarantee that it won’t be the last.
This is an excellent 5 star read.

Plot: 2.5/5 • Smut: 3/5 —————> I was dragged in by the cover, and being a sucker for RH. However, this was written poorly. I was invested in the plot, but the writing was driving me insane. This felt forced.

I understand this is fiction, but the fact she’s driving through the mountains comes across a random cabin that just so happens to be occupied by her ex boyfriend and her high school nemesis? Who happen to be in a relationship with each other?

The menage takes some time to fall into place. There’s a lot of back and forth. The two MMCs are both pretty stubborn. Our FMC, Cary is just desperate. That’s what it felt like. Rounded this up to three stars. Guess I’m feeling generous.

Chaos is a dark, snow trapped, why choose romance that grabs you by the throat from page one. The forced-proximity setting crackles with danger, heat, and twisted history as the heroine finds herself stranded with the two men who once broke her. Brad and Damon are both magnetic and menacing—each in completely different, intoxicating ways and the tension between them turns the cabin into a powder keg ready to blow. This story is a psychological, seductive storm, where survival and desire collide in ways that feel both terrifying and irresistible. Readers who crave dark romance with emotional chaos, claustrophobic heat, and dangerously addictive men will devour this.

It’s complicated…

Dark and twisted psychological why choose that involves a woman, Carina, whose car breaks down in a blizzard. When she spots a cabin she thinks she’s safe, only to find that the ones who open the door are those who tormented her and the one who ran out on her. Brad and Damon aren’t initially who she had in mind to be her saviors, but their complicated past and present are going to make this a very interesting situation. It’s fast paced, forced proximity will break down the walls of miscommunication. Pretty intense read.

Woah. I feel like even if I went on every rollercaster at Six Flags, back to back, all day long, I still wouldn’t be as whiplashed as I feel after reading this book! To call it intense is a disservice to this story. The emotion, the trauma, the love is so real and overwhelming you get hooked from the beginning. The self discovery and growth of each character is painful and endearing. Be prepared to be CONSUMED once you start reading this one!!!

**Book Review: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)**

This engaging read kept me hooked as I rooted for the characters to overcome their own obstacles. It’s a compelling exploration of learning to get out of your own way and pursuing what you truly want, revealing that not everything is as it seems. Overall, I enjoyed the journey!.

It was all over the place from the beginning but I kept reading because I liked the story. I gave three stars because I know how hard writing a book is and this did have potential.

This was dark, crazy and hot. So much hate and love. So much angst, worry and depression. It's crazy learning the back story of all three of these people, how they relate to each other and everything they go through during this snow storm.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The story pace was okay/slow and then a quick rush towards the end of the book. It’s like, after a snap of fingers they overcame their struggles and traumas. And then it was over.. just like that. And it left me hungry for more.

When you break down and find the only cabin for miles and it just happens to be your ex and bully who are sleeping together. This was a good book and a definite recommend for those who love forced proximity with some bulling.

idk where all these good reviews are coming from, this was the worst read I’ve had all year. It felt like it was written by a child or really bad AI - couldn’t even finish
