The importance of family systems cannot be overstated. Rarely does a person rise above the system in which they exist. For example, a child who fights a lot with their sibling because they are locked in a dirty apartment and left alone without food while Mom works all day and Dad is a drunken deadbeat nowhere to be found does not need to just work on their conflict resolution and communication skills—they need a new family system.
The reason family relationships are difficult is because spiritual warfare often starts there. God loves and Satan hates marriage, children, grandchildren, and family. In this book, Pastor Mark uses examples from four generations of a family in the book of Genesis to show men and women how to intentionally architect the system in which their family lives for the benefit and generational blessing of their children and grandchildren.
