She writes both contemporary and historical romances. In recent times, she has turned her passion towards publishing sweet, small-town, contemporary romances set in the fictional town of Jasper Ridge, Minnesota.

Susan lives near Toronto in Ontario, Canada with her husband and two adult children. She loves chocolate and wine and isn't partial to snow even though she's Canadian!

In the previous books I was unsure about Simon as a character, I thought he was a little self absorbed and a touch arrogant. Boy, did I get that wrong! Having read the whole of his book there are more layers to him than we saw previously. I really liked Serena and how she was willing to face her fears, even if it meant getting up on a roof in an ice storm. Another great read in this series, would recommend

This is the first book I’ve read in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The series is about a family of four siblings and this story is about Simon Belgrave. He has returned home from a terrible break up with his girlfriend. She had stolen all of his life savings and he also lost his job in her father‘s company. So he returns to Jasper Ridge to hopefully open up his own landscape business if he can rely on his family for some funding loans. When his father puts some stipulations on the loan, Simon has not sure he’s up for the conditions. Serena Davis has lived in Jasper Ridge with her grandmother since her mother be married and moved away. She is trying to keep the flower shop going that her grandmother started. Now that her grandmother has passed, it means more than ever to make it work. But Simon and Serena start off on the wrong foot. Serena remembers Simon as being very degrading and demeaning when she was young. Simon has a chip on his shoulder anyway so to think his father wants him to work with her to build a greenhouse was more than either one were excited about. I thought the story was charming and had some great world building lessons. There i a lot of family drama, community projects, strangers coming to town, plenty of plots to keep you entertained throughout the story. It is a clean, wholesome romance with great characters and good relationship lessons. It can be red as a standalone.
