A dark, emotionally charged thriller where three sisters, bound by blood and divided by secrets, are forced to confront the violent past that made them.

Stormi Feathers learned early that monsters can live inside the people meant to protect you. The night she stopped her mother’s abuser, she also silenced her fear and awakened something darker within herself. Years later, she and her sisters, Rayne and Skye, have built a shadow empire that delivers justice to those the system forgets. Each woman has a Rayne handles logistics, Skye covers digital traces, and Stormi carries out the sentences. Together, they’ve turned pain into power.

But when Stormi meets Niles Grey, a former homicide detective with a haunted past, she feels something she’s long suppressed. For the first time, she begins to imagine a life untouched by violence, until she discovers Niles is connected to an unlikely suspect.

Now Stormi must choose between protecting her sisters and trusting the one man who makes her believe she deserves more than vengeance.

Arc Review

When it comes to Netra she’s always gonna make me feel all the things. This book was different from others I’ve read from her but equally amazing! While there was romance involved this was very much so a suspense thriller! Stormi, Rayne, and Skye are the true definition of ride or die and ride at dawn no matter what! From beginning to end i was locked in . Most of the book i was conflicted between team Spencer or Team Niles until the end lol. That last 10% had me on edge and i couldn’t get my eyes to read fast enough . The plot twists was twisting like a mf! As always Netra drops gems and makes you think in a deep way! I loved it and excited for the official release.

Thank you NetGalley and Black Odyssey for the opportunity to read this!

“The Storm stirred. The Rayne returned. And the Skye, once clear, began to darken. The Storm and the Rayne in the Skye started again.”

Tell me why this wreck me emotionally… because WOW😮‍💨

This story isn’t just dark…. it’s layered, intense, and dripping with that “don’t trust anyone but your sisters” energy.

Stormi, Rayne, and Skye are the definition of ride or die.
One runs logistics, one wipes the digital trail, and Stormi? She delivers the justice.

The sister bond in this book is EVERYTHING… loyal, complicated, and honestly a little terrifying in the best way. I wish I had sisters like them.

Stormi is that strong, sharp female lead who carries trauma like armor, and watching her slowly crack open when Niles Grey steps into her life? Yeah… I felt that shift.

Their dynamic adds this quiet tension that sneaks up on you…part romance, part emotional tug of war, and I was fully invested.

What really pulled me in was how cinematic the writing felt. Every scene played out like a movie in my head from suspense building, secrets unraveling, and just when you think you know where it’s going… nope. Twist. 😌

And LISTEN… that ending had me!!!!!
Like… I literally sat there staring at my book for a minute because WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?! 😭
I NEED MORE!
I NEED THE OTHER SISTER’S BOOKS!🔥
I NEED ALL FUTURE BOOKS BY NETRA!

If you love:
🖤 strong sister bonds
⚡️ morally grey justice vibes
🔥 tension + emotional depth
🕶️ dark thriller energy with romance woven in

…you’re going to want to add this one to your list ASAP.

I don’t really do play-by-plays in my reviews because I actually want y’all to trust me when I say just read it. 😎

One thing about Netra she’s going to give us strong, independent, resilient women every single time. Even in a dark romance thriller, she still showed us vulnerability in both the FMC and MMC. Chef’s kiss💋

As the oldest sibling, I felt Stormi deeply. The way she moved, the weight she carried I understood all of it. But personality wise I’m Rayne all day.

Stormi — protecting, loving, making sure everyone is safe …that’s the unspoken rule of the oldest, and she wore it well. I loved how guarded she was. And the way Netra showed that even when you think you’re incapable of loving or being loved, it’s still possible. Whew, my girl fell deeply in love simply because that man was intentional with just four short dates!

Spencer & Stormi — complicated, but understandable. Their dynamic has many layers to it but I got it! I’m not even going to lie I was lowkey rooting for them the whole time. 😉

Rayne — Very much THAT girl. Tuns a tight ship. She is me 😌

Skye — The baby girl Smart, observant, non-confrontational, stayed in her lane and played her role perfectly. Loved that about her.

Stormi ⚡️Rayne ☔️Skye 🌦️ The meaning behind them all tied together so beautifully.

Silent Surrender is a dark, compelling thriller that pulses with sisterhood, trauma, and the uneasy question of whether violence can ever truly set you free. Stormi, Rayne, and Skye Feathers are bound by blood and sharpened by the past, and the shadow‑empire they’ve built feels both chilling and strangely tender—a testament to how far they’ll go to protect the forgotten.

Stormi is the beating heart of the novel. Her quiet ferocity, her buried softness, and the flicker of hope she feels when she meets Niles Grey make her impossible to look away from. Their connection adds a fragile thread of light to a story steeped in darkness, and it’s handled with a restraint that makes it all the more affecting.

The tension builds beautifully as past and present collide, and the moral lines blur in ways that feel both unsettling and deeply human. This is a story about survival, loyalty, and the cost of choosing a different life when violence is the only language you’ve ever known. Gritty, emotional, and unexpectedly tender.

My thanks to Netra Antionette, the publisher and netgalley for the ARC

I went in completely blind. Didn’t even read the description. Best decision I made.

This book starts with a BANG and I mean that literally — two pages in and my jaw was already on the floor. I didn’t know I was getting a female assassin and honestly? That made it hit different.

Stormi is everything. The secrets, the backdoor relationships, the complicated dynamics — I was obsessed by 50% and it only got more chaotic from there. The romance is real and it delivers, but don’t sleep on the fact that this is more thriller than romance. The spice is perfect — not too much, completely plot-driven.

And for a book dealing with the subject matter it does, the author handled it with so much care. No on-page assault. Just weight and consequence. That matters.
My one issue is the ending moved way too fast. I needed at least 50 more pages. And Rayne and Skye? They deserve their whole own story. There has to be more coming, right?

Also — yes. Cliffhanger. I had a whole conniption.
This is my first Netra Antoinette book and I immediately ordered the rest of her catalog. That’s all you need to know.

I had the opportunity to read an Advanced Reader Copy of Silent Surrender by Netra Antionette, and I can confidently say this is my favorite book from her so far. From the first few chapters, I was completely pulled in. This book had me constantly saying “just one more chapter.” Before I knew it, I was deep into the story and fully invested in the characters.

What I loved most was how real and layered the characters felt. I found myself emotionally connected and wanting to know how everything would unfold. This story touches on coping with childhood trauma, navigating the realities of aging parents, and the complicated dynamics of love, lies, and secrets. It’s emotional, engaging, and full of moments that make you pause and think.

Overall, Silent Surrender is an incredible read that kept me hooked from beginning to end. If you enjoy stories with strong characters, emotional depth, and a plot that keeps you turning the pages, this is definitely one to add to your list.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

At the center of this one is Stormi Feathers, a woman who grew up around violence having to protect her mother and sisters from an abuser.

I loved the relationship between the sisters. They are layered, loyal, and lethal in their own ways. Rayne running logistics, Skye erasing digital footprints, and Stormi delivering justice.

Stormi is a strong female lead in every sense of the word and I loved her strength.

When Niles Grey enters her life, the tension shifts in a compelling way. The romance adds spice and vulnerability which I loved.

There were a few sections where the pacing or emotional depth didn’t hit quite as hard as I wanted, but overall, Netra Antionette’s storytelling shines. Her writing has a cinematic quality that pulls you in and keeps you invested.

Silent Surrender by Netra Antionette was an enjoyable and engaging read filled with suspense and drama. From the very beginning, the story pulls you in and keeps you guessing, with tension steadily building as the plot unfolds. The emotional stakes are high, and the twists add just the right amount of intrigue to keep the pages turning.

The characters were compelling and layered, which made the drama feel authentic rather than overdone. I especially appreciated how the suspense was woven into both the relationships and the overall storyline, creating a sense of urgency throughout.

Overall, this was a solid, entertaining read for anyone who enjoys dramatic fiction with a strong thread of suspense.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher, Black Odyssey, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I look forward to the official release .

3.75 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ .75 stars! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. This story follows Stormi and Niles, who cross paths at the exact wrong, or right time. They’re both carrying things they don’t talk about, both a little closed off, both trying to mind their business… until the chemistry refuses to let them.

From there, it becomes a story about whether they can let their guards down long enough to see what’s possible. There are secrets, family ties, and a few messy moments that keep things interesting.

Netra brings her usual mix of strong women, layered drama, and a man who knows how to show up. If you like a story with some spice and mess, I recommend!

I was hooked from the prologue. Stormie catches her 1st body at age 13 and it's the happiest day of her life?! Wow! The FMC is 1 of a powerful triplet set! An alpha female that finally meets someone that she can be soft with. Now this story should be textbook toxic, but it really is the healthiest relationship either Stormie or Niles has had. But she's a professional unaliver and he's a former homicide detective, it can't work!

I enjoyed every page and read it one day. While we get great closure, it definitely leaves it open enough where we could get a sequel (And I'm hoping for one!).

***ARC REVIEW***
I can say that if you are a fan of the MindF*ck Series and LOVE not one, not two, but THREE bad *spazz* FMCs (triplets) then this is indeed the book for you. If you needed a reminder to know the type of love you deserve…THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU. If you are the oldest sibling…THIS IS FOR YOU. The love triangle was everything, the way each sister loved one another loudly and showed how confidence can truly draw ppl in. This was gold. I cannot wait until book 2 the cliff hangers had me at the edge of my seat!

Netra is going to do it every time. For this to be outside of her normal genre of writing her style is so unique and she was able to reel you in from the very beginning.

I read this almost a year ago when Netra had this as a indie book. But getting to reread this as an arc as a TRAD book is so amazing to see.

Nearly a year later and this book is still one of the best books I’ve read! I loved Stormi and Niles!!!! Stormi is one of the most bada$$ women I’ve ever read!

Read this is you love:
Suspense with a lol romance
Messy relationships
