Liliana
It was always my dream to be a search and rescue diver. A dream that I worked hard to make come true. During a night out with a friend, I witnessed an accident. Not being able to stand by and watch as people needed help, I dove to their aid. Little did I know, my actions put me on the radar of a psychopathic kidnapper. To save my own life, I’m forced from my home. Now it’s four years later, and I’m sick of living in fear, so I return to Chicago in hopes that I’ve been long forgotten by my psychopathic stalker.
Luck is not on my side. I’m once again a target, and it’s a race against the clock. Can my friends keep me out of this obsessed psycho’s clutches? Or will I succumb to the nightmare that he has planned for me?

Alexander
Being a pro hockey player isn’t just a career to me; it’s my passion. During my rookie season, an accident almost took my little sister from me. But thanks to an unknown bystander, we both survived. I made a vow to find the woman who saved mine and my sister’s lives and repay her. When I found out she had been put in danger by the man who caused our accident, she became my obsession. After four years of searching for my mystery woman, she’s back in Chicago. And it turns out she’s friends with one of my teammates. Now that I’ve found her, I won’t let her go. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe. I’ll do whatever it takes to make her mine.

I loved the concept of this book and really enjoyed that it had a lot of components and subplots. Hockey and Suspense is amazing; add a dash of Rom-Com made it a match in heaven.

I didn't know until now that I need more books with rescue divers. Adding the fact that she saved a pro Hockey player who soon after becomes obsessed with finding and loving her. Who also goes to the extremes to protect her from a stalker that she 'stopped'.

I first wanted to share my thanks that I got an eARC, being the first book ive read from this author made a lasting impression. The characters are so well written where it really allows the flaws in character shine, making them truly human. It makes them almost like friends, where all you want to do is yell "WHY" to the ereader as if we are talking to them directly. I can't wait to read more within this universe, especially Scottie and Morgan.

I will say, I wish there was more experiences shared while Lily was hidden away after the initial stalker's attraction. It felt like the importance/significance of her hiding the secret that he was back was lackluster. The danger did not feel conveyed enough until the end, even though it had a HUGE impact on her life. It felt like all the Genres were trying to balance like columns holding the main plots and it felt off sometimes.

But nonetheless I am a vibe reader, and the ending definitely helped my opinion where it gave us the "aha moment" and I loved all the cute 'found family' moments. Strong 3.75/5!

Alex and Lily have such a compelling romance that you get sucked in but that’s not what first caught my attention with this book. The first thing we find out is Lily is with fire and rescue and her best friend Morgan is studying to be a nurse, then on a girls night out Lily’s life changes. Fast forward a few years and we get to see the sweet romance between Alex and Lily develop. Now this book does have some things that may bother people: stalking, drowning (but not dying) and some open door intimate scenes. For me none of those concepts really changed how I viewed the book but I did only give four stars and that was for two reasons. Some of the dialogue between Alex and Lily was awkward and weird to read like I honestly think just rewording some bits would make some passages flow better but a couple spots were cringy. Outside of Alex and Lily the dialogue was really good Lily has such a good relationship with her friends and coworkers and they all really care about each other like family. The second reason is due to one specific thing Alex does and without giving too much away when Lily is in trouble Alex goes a little overboard when it comes to her safety (when you read it you’ll know the part I’m thinking of) but it did save her life sooooooo I guess it’s a toss up. Overall I absolutely loved getting to read this book and it fully pulled me in the only reason it took me 3 days is because I didn’t have much time to read this weekend. I also want to thank the author for allowing me to be a part of her arc team.

Pucking Saved, book one of the Chicago Yetis series, written by Nichole Rae, is a hockey romance with a spoonful of suspense! This is my first book by this author, and she won me over! Lol. I look forward to reading more in this series. I finished this book in less than twenty-four hours, and that is fast for me.

The book follows two main characters: Liliana and Alexander. Lily is a strong FMC who is a rescue diver and has a sassy side. Alex is a pro hockey player who has strong family ties. While out with a friend, Lily witnesses a horrible accident and immediately acts - saving the two occupants while injuring herself. Alex vows to find this mystery woman who saved him and his sister and try to repay her kindness.

Little did Lily know that by saving those two lives it put herself on the radar of an obsessive stalker, which eventually caused her to flee and leave everything behind for her own safety. Now, four years later, she returns, but so has the stalker!

The book kept me on the edge of my seat with its romance and suspense. I am curious if the rest of the books in the series will always be suspenseful? I hope so!

Thanks to Nicole Rael for gifting me an eARC of Pucking Saved. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a freaking whirlwind of a book!!!

First, I received this book as an ARC from the author, and I couldn't be more grateful. This was the first hockey romance I enjoyed. But be aware this is romance with a side of serial killer.

Lily is a rescue diver, living out her lifelong dream in Chicago. Alex is a defenseman for the Chicago Yetis hockey team, and one night his path unexpectedly crosses with Lily's. But just as quickly as she enters his life, she leaves it before he can learn her identity. But there's another who crosses path with Lily that fateful night who will forever alter the course of her life.

Upon returning to Chicago, after years of being forced to be away, Lily thought she was safe, that was until she was shown on the jumbo-tron at a Yetis game. To her horror, her stalker returns, and this time he won't let her get away.

OMG THIS BOOK HAD ME ON EDGE!!!

This will captivate you with a plot that twists and turns, unexpected backstories and heartbreak, found family, cinematic spicey scenes, and so much more. If you're a fan of hockey romances and true crime, I cannot shout from the rooftops enough that you should read this book.

This book delivers a suspenseful and emotional romance that blends danger, devotion, and second chances in a compelling way. The FMC is an easy heroine to root for. Her courage and determination shine through, especially as she struggles to reclaim the life that fear stole from her. Rather than letting the past define her, she chooses to face it, which adds a lot of emotional depth to her character. The suspense element keeps the story moving at a steady pace. The looming threat of the stalker adds urgency and raises the stakes, making it feel like a constant race against time. The mix of romance, friendship, and danger works well. While some moments lean a bit heavily into the protective/possessive trope, the emotional connection between the characters and the suspenseful plot make for an engaging read overall. Overall, this is a gripping romantic suspense with a brave heroine, a fiercely protective hero, and enough danger to keep readers turning the pages.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Pucking Saved is pure, fast‑burn joy — the kind of romance that swoops in, steals your breath, and leaves you smiling like you’ve just watched the cutest meet‑chaos on ice.

I adored the instalove here. Spitfire and her guy lock eyes and the chemistry practically does a triple axel. It’s instant, bold, and somehow feels completely right. Add in just the right amount of drama — the fun, juicy kind that keeps the pages flying — and you’ve got a story that never loses momentum.

The found‑family vibes are a total standout. These friendships show up harder than some families ever do, giving the book a warm, steady heartbeat that makes every emotional moment land.

And Spitfire? She’s a force. Fiercely ambitious, career‑driven, and absolutely unwilling to shrink herself for anyone. Watching her chase her goals while falling headfirst into love is half the magic.

Fast love, fierce loyalty, and a heroine who refuses to dim her shine — Pucking Saved is a total win. Perfect for readers who love swoony chemistry, supportive friendships, and heroines who know exactly who they are.

I could not put this book down and finished it in one sitting! I haven’t done that for a while. First off, I’m really into hockey right now so this was the perfect type of romance. Well, I mean besides the stalker. The book was so interesting! It reminded me of “Lights Out” a bit where Alex has some stalker tendencies himself but you love him anyways because he’s doing it out of love. It may be more an obsessive love, but one that is reciprocated and love nonetheless. The bit of backstory that we got really helped seal everything. Alex and Lillys story is truly adorable. I have some deep admiration for Lilly as well. The skills she has to help save people and does it despite the possibility or her dying in the process. It is definitely a stressor of the family if anything were to happen.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and am exited to see what continues and how the other couples come about.

I received an ARC from the author!

Absolutely loved this book! The first and second time I’ve read it. I enjoy it each time.

The mystery/suspense, the romance, the characters (especially the mascot 😉) all so great!

Not only was the storyline there and suspense at every turn, I loved that it was close to home. The locations mentioned, not the story lol 😂

The FMC is a rescue diver and the MMC is a professional hockey player. Talk about opposites right? They meet in a terrible accident that leads to the FMC hiding away for a long time (reasons you’ll have to read about) and the MMC wants to thank her but can’t seem to find her.
When she returns, the reason she left follows her home. Will she make it through? Will Alex finally get to tell her how he feels? Will we have a HEA?

I definitely recommend reading this if any of the above caught your interest. 💕🏒

I received an arc for an honest review.

Liliana is the definition of a baddie—strong, resilient, and just trying to survive after witnessing an accident that completely changes her life. Forced into hiding, all she wants is her old life in Chicago back.

Alex, a pro hockey player, is the ultimate protective alpha with strong family ties that shape everything he does. For four years, he’s been searching for the woman who saved him and his sister that day. When he finds out she’s in danger, protecting her is no question.

I love a good hockey suspense—it adds so much intensity. Between the danger, romance, and strong family bonds, this was such a compelling read.

What you get:
*She saves him
*Suspense
*Romance
*Hockey
*He falls first
*Possessive MC
*Found Family
*Banter
*Friendship
*Stalker

I was given this book as an ARC copy. This was the first book I've read by this author and I was impressed! I'm a sucker for a hockey romance throw in stalker and suspense and I'm going to devour it. I literally finished this in 24 hours! I will say this book reminded me a lot of The wrong Pucking number but it was also its own story line and I honestly enjoyed this one more. The FMC is a badass who has been through some hard things and the MMC is so obsessed but in the best way. I can't wait to see what comes next for this series, the way the author built up the other characters made me fall in love with the whole group not just the FMC and MMC. If you like growling alpha hockey guys, strong badass FMCs, found family and suspense then you will love this book!

This is my second book by this author and it was another home run. I am so thankful I was able to receive an ARC from her. I read this book in a single sitting because I couldn’t put it down. Nicole brings all of the characters to life so well you fall in love with the whole team and everyone else in their lives. The MFC is such a stubborn badass and the MMC is a possessive, touch her and die kinda guy. Hockey books are one of my favorites and this one didn’t let me down. I laughed, I gasped and I was shocked. I cannot wait to see where this series goes and to see the rest of these boys (and Morgan) fall in love. I’m so curious of what crazy shit is yet to come! Thank you Nicole for another amazing read!!!

I absolutely love when a story has a bad FMC, Lily is on a search and rescue team. One night when she is out with her best friend she witnesses a hit and run. She finds out later that the driver of the hit and run was also a kidnapper and had a young lady tied up in his vehicle. She then becomes the object of the kidnapper and has to disappear for four years. Meanwhile the man she rescues is trying to find her to thank her. That MMC happens to be on the hockey team. Then meet and it is pure magic. I loved the chemistry and the banter that they have. The spice is also nice. This was a 5 star read for me I loved every part of the story and can’t wait to read more in the series.

This was an arc that I received and the review is my opinion.

Lily is one strong female, working on a search and rescue team. One night out with her friends set her future in motion. Seeing an accident her first instinct is to help and she saves an Alex and his sister . This has put on the radios of a dangerous kidnapper.
Having to disappear for four years is the only way Lily can now be safe. In that time Alex who is a professional hockey player, never stops looking for her. He can’t believe his eyes when he sees her at one of his hockey game. Alex is not letting her disappear again. Alex falls hard and fast and lets say is completely hooked.
This book has action, strong characters, one kick arse female lead and one over the top male. Drama, angst and spice.

I'm going to be as honest as I can. The characters were mid. all of them. I didn't really have a character that I liked. The FMC was just an idiot about everything and it pissed me off. The MMC had like 8 different personalities. the kind guy. the red flag guy. the controlling guy. I at times thought there was more than just one guy, and forgot there was only the one. the story had to potential to phenomenal. the plot twist, to me was shocking and not in a good way. I don't know. I wasnt a fan, and I've been putting of reviewing because I hate saying bad things about books. this one was tough to read.

Tropes:
She saves him
Suspense
Romance
Hockey
He falls first
Possessive MMC
Found family
Banter
No third act break up
Friendship

Overall, I don’t ask a lot from my romance books, I read for vibes. Did I have a good time along the ride? Yes. Would I suggest this book to a friend who loves hockey romance? Yes. The mmc did give the fmc a cutesy nickname and I personally hate that in books (though it’s not a deal breaker) and I can’t personally imagine ignoring ‘gifts’ from a serial killer but overall, worth the read if you love hockey romance!

I read the blurb and was intrigued. Hockey, romance, love, and a twisted crime. It’s everything I love in one book! The writing is brilliant. Suspenseful until the very end. So much going on, but layered and rich like a smooth specialty coffee.
Alex and Lily are intense characters. They give 100% to everything and everyone in their lives. They made me laugh, increased my blood pressure, made me cry, and let me swoon. This story is smart, witty, and just the right amount of everything. Dive in. You’ll love it!

I love Liliana. Her fire and refusal to give up made her so easy to connect to! After not even thinking and diving in the Chicago river to save people after witnessing their wreck had me hooked from the first few sentences of the book! Alex is a tad obsessed but for good reason!! I loved the way their relationship grew. I think it came together well at the end was a good wrap up to the whole story. I truly enjoyed reading this book.

I had the pleasure to ARC read thia book and it is an amazing stoey. This book delivers so much more then expected with its blend of suspenseful and emotional romance. This story goes above and beyond the basic sports romance and builds in so many complex layers that blends multiple tropes in a compelling way. The FMC is down right amazing and beautifully written. Overall, this book is the start of a series I can't wait to finish.

I absolutely loved this book. Lily is a badass FMC and Alex is an obsessive mortally gray MMC and I’m so here for it. This book has me laughing so hard with tears in my eyes while still having all the fun twist and turns of a great romantic suspense. I can’t wait to see what comes next with the rest of the team! This was my first book from this author and bet it won’t be my last!

🌶️🌶️

I love a FMC who knows herself and needs no guy to validate her. She’s strong and loyal. I love the relationship she had with her best friend and the other side characters.

Alex is 🔥🔥 protective with a side of crazy. He’s a green flag though and loves so hard to the point of crazy.

I would definitely read again!

More than just a hockey romance. Four years back, Alex and his sister were rescued by Lily but no matter how hard he searched he couldn't find her because she fled from a threatening stalker. Alex has carried a torch for Lily the whole and does some morally grey things all in the spirit of keeping her safe. It was a fun read and I didn’t suspect the identity of the stalker until it was revealed.

A friend recommended this book, and I’m glad she did. This book was so good. I loved the text message banter so much. There were times I was a little unsure of Alex, and maybe still am, but he loves with his whole heart. I hope there are many more books in this series cause I loved each character and want to know more about each one.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pucking Saved is book 1 in the Chicago Yetis series and I can tell this will be one of my favorite series this year. Right out the gate the book dives into the first time Alexander (Alex) and Liliana (Lily) meet and it's not under the best circumstances. After a car accident, Lily saves Alex and his sister but at the same time a killer is revealed. When special gifts start to appear for Lily, her safety is her friends top priority. She leaves for a few years in the hope that this killer will stop his obsession with Lily. In the meantime Alex has been search for Lily...his red headed savior. By chance, years later, Alex finally finds Lily at one of his hockey games. After that all bets are off and Alex will make Lily his spitfire!!!

The chemistry between Lily and Alex is amazing and I couldn't put the book down. There were moments that I wanted to yell at both of them for what they were doing but in the end they are just meant to be together. Another fantastic part of the book was the text messages between members of the Yetis and I have to say these men are just too much that I just can't get enough. If I would suggest a good hockey series to start, the Chicago Yetis series is just the series for you. Oh, and there is a mascot that gives all the players a run for their money!!!

Hockey, suspense, and some spice? Sign me up!

I absolutely loved the FMC. She was independent and sassy. The MMC had the perfect balance of touch her and die vibes. The two together=perfection.

This book is a genuinely tender story about healing, trust, and finding someone who feels like home while trying to figure out who is stalking the FMC.

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you Completelybookedpr and Nicole for letting me ARC this book.
