Ring! Ring! Ring! Are those wedding bells, or the toll of the grave?
I never expected I’d become a mighty wizard, let alone a married man with five wonderful brides, but it seems things have been working out in my favor. My lair is expanding, new opportunities abound, and I’ve been taking lessons from some of the most powerful hearthomancers to have ever lived.
But that dang noise keeps ringing in my ears. Where is it coming from? And how is a phantom from my past, long since thought defeated, now threatening not just my life, but the lives of everyone I know and care about?
Threats arise as the wedding ceremony draws closer. Enemies stand before my gates, ready to steal everything I own.
I will defend my home and ensure my lovers and I earn the happily ever after we fought so hard for.
This was a decent but not great conclusion to the series.
I'm not a big fan of a recycled antagonist, and this one was worse than most that fall in that category. The whole way it manifested just didn't make for great storytelling, and it was pretty transparent with all the things going against the MC. So the ending just didn't satisfy.
Alternate universe, LitRPG, base building, magic, harem adult situations
Brent and his five women resolutely defend their home and their wedding, joined by the family and friends they have gained. Magic bends for the wizard. Above average editing. Delivers.
This series will always hold a special place in my heart due to how cozy reading it made me feel, the book just radiates a homeliness and comfort that’s hard to find in any other series. Thank you author for this lovely series
Thank goodness the author gave these characters and this story the ending it deserved!!! An amazing world the author created for our imagination to play in.
